What is a must pack item for you???

Corkscrew was in the studio we were in last month at SSR. Although I have called for one if it wasn't in the room.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the most important things.....
Golf Clubs and lots of $$$$$$$.

I normaly just buy new clubs each time I golf, and on about hole number 5, throw them in a pond and head for the bar.

:lmao: :lmao: I'm right behind you. ;)

I know I'm repeating previous advice, but if you are coffee drinkers, definitely BRING YOUR OWN COFFEE AND FILTERS. Regular Disney coffee is swill! :scared:

Greetings from a fellow West Michigander!

I always pack my EXTRA firm pillow. I'm a light sleeper, and unless I feel comfortable I'll never be able to get any sleep. I'm sure my wife would disagree and say something trivial like extra laundry detergent, but she's got her priorities out of whack.

Another good one is to-go coffee cups. My wife picks up a pack of like 8 or 10 insulated throw-away cups with lids at Meijer (though I'm sure they're available anywhere). For coffee drinkers, it's great to be able to have a cup on the way to the parks in the morning.

Since learning about this on the cruise board and using it on a cruise, we take this with us on every visit. We hang it over the bathroom door and put lotions, shampoos, razors, bandaids, medicines, keys, etc.... virtually everything that would otherwise sit on a countertop taking up space. Actually, the one we have now is a mesh see through. Very helpful in staying organized and tidy.

I think I just might steal your idea! :goodvibes Thanks for the organizational tip!! I think I've seen something like it at the "dollar store" nearby. Useful and a bargain!

The dollar store shoe hangers are clear plastic (at least the ones by me). Maybe 8 pockets, so you actually might want two. We also tried this on a cruise, and liked it so much we use ours every vacation! It's great for holding all sorts of things, from hair ties to a deck of cards.

And if you use the cheapo dollar store ones, you could even throw it out afterwards. Especially if you need souvenir space in your suitcase...

Coffee, filters, Splenda, detergent, Oxy Clean, Downy, Clorox Wipes, Ziploc Bags, and candles. I'm sure there is a lot more. But that is all I can think of off the top of my head. Of course clothes and toiletries. But I'm sure you already have that covered. ;)

OK, Eva
Just trying to find out what the candles are for. Do you light them on the terrace at night? or around the tub? NICE IDEA!

My list is a mile long. That's why I keep everything in my ownerslocker.

I agree with Brogan, I take pump soap for both bath areas. That bar soap gets pretty slimy after a few uses. Its cleaner.

I have candles and a spa pillow for the whirlpool tub.

I love the pop up hampers. I use them for laundry, shoes and pool toys. Especially in studios. I keep them under the vanity in studios.

Definitely use the shoe hangers too. I even started using them at home to store my stockpile of extra toiletries.

Sweet N Low. THey dont have it at WDW. Only Splenda and sometimes Equal.

Our laptop, a DVD player so that we have one in the bedroom.

Now my favorite thing to take is my reclining lounge chair for the patio. I only take it when we drive, it folds down but I love to relax on the patio in my recliner.

Don't forget the power strip that gives you additional outlets to plug in you cell phones, camera battery charger, laptop, etc..

Large space-saver bags. Even if I do not use them for for flying down to Disney, I like to have the bags to put dirty clothes in and then de-air/crush them for the return trip. Frees up a lot of luggage space for all the extras I end up buying. Plus it keeps our dirty, smelly clothes away from the clean ones.

Oh, and I like to take lots of smaller zip-lock bags for treasures like dead bugs - yep, my child like to collect expired animals to "study" and "draw". I really hope she decides to go into a profession that studies insects so people will not think she is weird. :rotfl: I dump the bugs before we leave.

Thanks for the reminder. I need to put one in our travel box (yes, we keep a plastic tote of the items we most often take on trips - coffee filters, sample boxes of laundry items, etc).

Completely OT, but kid-at-heart, I fell your pain! DD12 wants to be a forensic pathologist, and whenever she sees roadkill, she wants to bring it home to autopsy! Umm, I don't think so! And at this point, she has so many crime labs and various things like that, I'm forever saying, "pick up your severed hand!" "No autopsies on the changing table!" and other things I never thought I'd be saying to my child! BTW, the severed hand was a Halloween prop and the autopsy is a version of "Operation" only with weapons. We don't actually have real stuff!

Back to your originally scheduled thread.

One of these (if you have one, if not, link to buy is at the bottom of this post):

It's a travel clothesline, made out of surgical latex tubing. It stretches up to seven feet, is easy to secure using the loops at both ends and doesn't need pins or clips to hold wet clothing (the latter are held by tucking their edges into the folds in the line). One of these is invaluable for drying bathing suits in the bathroom while out at the parks or overnight. I've also found them to be great for that purpose on cruises.

I think I am going to have to get one of these to store in my Owner's Locker. Thanks for the tip. :thumbsup2

3m adhesive back hooks. Stays on for the entire trip and comes off clean when we leave. We use one to hang our lanyards and one for a wreath on the door during the holidays.

I also go to Dollar Tree and get the ponchos two for a buck. They fit in a camera bag or a back pocket and you don't look like everyone in the park when the heavens open up!

Yeah, we look like the cheapies who brought their dollar tree ponchos, but they are transparent and you can identify your group easier!

Nightlights are great-

Moleskin is a must.

Good Microwave popcorn for sitting on the porch at night playing cards...

We bring in our own liquor. TSA allows people to carry 5 liters of wine if you wish.
