great ideas - thanks for sharing. I will be checking this thread when I pack to be sure I have remembered to put everything on my list. May even get myself an OL!!
From looking at your spices it appears you are quite the chef of ethnic meals. Perhaps my family could plan a visit during your next visit and we could invite ourselves to dinner.
What the heck! The more the merrier, you bring the wine, I'll do the cooking!
I do have a rather global palate, just finished my weekly dinner plans, we'll be in Russia, Germany, China, Mexico and wherever you want to count sub sandwiches coming from!

I will bring the wine. By-the-way, my ex's family was from Long Beach. When we divorced (in the late 80s) his family decide they would rather keep me instead of him so "guess who gets invited to all the special holidays/events".
Now for must pack items, we always bring a wine opener (just in case the one from the villa is missing), a white noise machine and our child (but we do not pack the child).
For my stays in WDW we always have a villa with a kitchen. This is my little spice kit that I have assembled. I have all the little baggies labled with the spice name. I just replaced all the spices for our trip in January so that they would be fresh. You can get the tiny baggies at crafts stores, or the professor who used to be a hippie on this thread probably knows of "other" stores that sell them.

You are funny.

Travel size laundry detergent, pop-up hamper, over the door clear shoe holder, laminated itinerary, goggles, pool toys (sometimes), sharpie markers for autographs, address labels (I stick one on anything we carry to the park - just in case), bags of pennies and quarters for the pressed penny machines, tea bags, sweetner, lap top, toy tea set for my toddler at TS meals (keeps her from grabbing all the real dishware), all the light up toys / hats / small stuffed toys from previous trips so I don't need to buy more, not all our pins but a small sampling of those we want to trade, small water spritzer bottles, stroller accessories such as extra large sun shade, water bottle holder, cup holder, beer, wine and snacks!!
Love the spice box idea--very clever! My kids are not much fans of eating out every night (heathens!), so I wind up doing a lot of cooking. Simple meals, but I still think I'm going to assemble a spice box.
As to travelling with wine, I would recommend putting the bottle into a 2-gallon ziploc, just to be safe, and then maybe wrapping it in t-shirts or other soft clothing. Don't forget, if you have a car, I believe grocery stores and Wal-mart, etc. sell wine (but not hard liquor). Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that. And we do like picking up a nice (but pricey) bottle in Epcot now and again.
Instead of bottles of detergent, I prefer the Purex sheets that are detergent/fabric softener all in one--very handy and light to pack. In fact, a box would go nicely in an Owner's Locker, if I had one (we don't go very often--every other year, for 2 weeks).
