We will be at DLR for the first time staying at PPH in October. We will be in the parks for a total of 3 days. Would you do DL one day then DCA the next and on the last day in the parks do both? Or do you think it's best to go back and forth to each park everyday?

if you have a larger group, or even really if not, park hopping is better.
If you focus on just one park, you'll find yourself in longer lines more than likely as you can only use your fp abilities so much.

this doesn't mean, though, that you shouldn't "focus" on one park more than the other. Maybe have one park picked as the main place for the day, but don't completely shut yourself off from the other. They are feet away, why not use that to your advantage?

park hop, spread the love, have fun:thumbsup2

If you had traveled before June this year and the grand re-opening of DCA, the answer would have been simple - park hop every day.

However, now Disney has expanded DCA park hours for the summer to 8AM-11PM and also now has extra magic hours for DCA. These are considered to be experiments for Disney and no one knows - I doubt even Disney - what the long term plans are for DCA regular hours and extra hours for hotel guests. The answer to your question depends on how Disney responds to the DCA experiment this summer.

The answer also depends on whether you are staying at a Disney hotel or non-Disney hotel.

I would wait and ask your question again come September.

I'd go with an open mind. Plan to start at Disneyland one day, and DCA the next, but allow yourself to park hop if you want a change of scene. It's so easy to move between parks, you don't need to to tie yourself down!

i think it also depends on what ages kids (if any) you have and what your priorities are. I have a 4&6 year old and we plan our day around Magic Mornings and focusing on lands instead of parks. I know I can get more tolerance for waiting in the mornings with the boys, so we will plan those times in each park and then counter those lands with more laid back areas in the afternoon in each park. Depending of how relaxing the afternoon is (or if we go back to the room to rest and nap) then we will plan an evening. Basically I pick a main goal for each day, then pick meal spots (with reservations if needed) and then fill in the blanks.
