what is a "dream fastpass" and do they still exist?

It was a promotion 2 or 3 years ago. CM's would walk through the park and then surprise people with "dreams". One of them was a dream fastpass, which was a card that had a fastpass for every fastpass ride in the park. They had a method to who they would pick, like the 5th through 10th people coming out of a ride or a show.

My wife and I got one of those in HS a few years back. We were just walking around in One Man's Dream looking at the exhibits. A cast member came up and gave one to each of us. It was a lanyard with a card and it had little detachable tabs that you tore off and handed in when you went on the ride written on each tab. Very cool!

Wasn't that during the Year of a Millions Dreams Promotion in 2008? We went that year and they had all kinds of different ways they gave extra fastpasses. While we were in the queue for Space Mountain, the CM handed my daughter a hoolah hoop and told her if she could do it we'd get the FP!! And while we were waiting in line for the Magical Express, they had Disney quizzes and gave passes to the ones with the correct answers! They were doing all kinds of random things like that! That was a fun promotion!

Thanks! You're right, it was during a trip we took in April 2008. Remember it since it was the last trip we took alone with no kids... until tomorrow!!

"Year of a Million Dreams" was so cool and it was actually the "2 Years of 2 Million Dreams"(2007,2008)!

They gave away DVC Memberships,Disney Cruises,$500.00 shopping sprees and nights in the Cinderella Castle Suite just to name a few of the prizes!

I kept some of my Dream FASTPASSES as souvenirs!

Everytime the Dream Squad gave me something,I acted like I had won the Lottery!LOL

When we went in 2008 we were the first people to walk up to the train for the conservation station place in Animal Kingdom and there were 2 CMs there. They told us we won these special fastpasses. Gave everyone in our party one. It was pretty exciting

At Disneyland, you got one for each park no matter what park you were in at the time. DL's Haunted Mansion only had active fast passes during the Halloween/Christmas season because of the 'Nightmare Before Christmas' make over. So when they gave out the magical fast passes at that time, you also got a printed fast pass for HM.

I lived 10 miles from DL and one day I ended up with 4 sets of them. I gave them to a family.

Such a cool perk! Annual theme notwithstanding, this is the kind of thing they could do on an ongoing basis. There's no hard cost involved, you'd think the suits would love it.

We also won our Dream FPs in HS at the Bugs Life play area. I was SO excited I didn't know what to do with myself!

We also won ours at DHS, but in the library on TOT. Everyone in the room got one. I really loved that promotion- we had lots of little magical things happen (daughter won a certificate for playing some game at DHS, girls were asked to sign a CM's autograph book in Epcot when they were dressed like princesses, free personalization on ear hats at MK, little stuff like that)

I wanted these, but I got a YOAMD lanyard with 2 special pins. Thus my need to spend more money on pins each time I go. Disney gave me my first hit for free...
