What in the world is happening with all the fridge swaps???

All this talk about what I meant when I said "stay somewhere else."

Here's an example: when I plan a trip to the beach, or the mountains, or anywhere, I look at hotels. If I don't like what a certain hotel has to offer, I book somewhere else.

If having a fridge, for example, was imperative to my having a good vacation, I would book somewhere WITH a fridge. If those places are more expensive, I'd have some choices to make regarding what I value most in a hotel room.

It is not up to me to circumvent the rules or make a nuisance of myself with bell services just because I personally believe that hotel should be offering more amenities for the price.

I don't know what is going on with the Fridges from the swaps. I hope they are found and someone isn't taking off with them.

I enjoy using them and tip Bell Services if I use them to get and store it or if they bring it to the room.

For me it saves time in the morning as we have cereal in the room. I go with my young niece so it's not convienent to run over to the food court in the morning for milk. I also like starting out at the parks with frozen beverages.

+1 I always though bell services storage was intended to for guest luggage they day they check in and the day they check out. I never thought it was free storage for incoming guests.

Well they will also do longer term storage if you request it, but there is a limit on how many days.

Many people are also finding it cheaper to ship their luggage with UPS or FedEx vs taking it on the flight. In this case, they're usually going to have the luggage there a day or two before arrival. We all know how bad it is to have lost luggage on a plane, and start a vacation with just what you arrived in. The upside to shipping is the tracking (which is a main highlight people do it this way).

People also have groceries delivered or other "vacation items only" delivered to the resort after ordering online.

I believe the biggest culprit in the fridge swaps, is the "owner" of the fridge is not in Orlando and relies solely upon incoming Diser's to tag the fridge. If the name on the fridge does not match the person retrieving the fridge, bell service is not suppose to give it to them.

In my bag swap if Guest A delivered the bag to Guest B's resort, the tag would be labeled with Guest B's name. If Guest B backed out, and Guest C tried to retrieve the bag, they wouldn't be able to because it's labeled "Guest B". But since I lived close enough, and the bag itself had my name on it, I was able to pick it up, even if the bell service's tag had some one else's name on it.
In a fridge swap, it would forever sit in luggage service under "Guest B's tag".
