The purpose of this Assignment is to review the fun we’ve had using our cameras in 2015. All cameras and skill levels are welcome.

This is one that will run for 2015. No prizes can be rewarded other than recognition for a job well done!

Please use pictures taken from January 2015 to the end of 2015! Afterall, the intent of this assignment is to showcase your favourite shots from this year.

If you post a picture, please share what you did to take the picture irrespective of whether you shoot with a point and shoot or a dSLR or phone camera. For those with a dSLR, please include your ISO, aperture and shutter speed; as well as a brief description of anything that might help others learn from your experience.

What I'm Focussed On – Favourites of 2015

Another year gone by! How did everyone go with their shots?

In the last couple of years, I've taken to picking my favourite 12 or 13 shots in my catalogue and turning them into a calendar for the next year. Who knew it would turn out to be a favourite gift in my family? As I was compiling this year's gift, it made me curious to see everyone else’s.

This assignment is all about your favourite shots in 2015.

Please share your shots!

(There are no references for this one! :))

So these are my favourite shots from 2015.

3.5 minute exposure. The first time using a 9-stop ND filter made sense to me with fireworks! Bwa ha ha ha.

A picture of 3 Trams at the Melbourne Town Hall. There are building projections at the town hall every Christmas. It's always an interesting exercise trying to capture the projections when the trams, cyclists, horse drawn carriages and cars are whizzing past.

Wow, PiO, what an amazing collection you put together this year. Just remarkable. Well done!

I've been doing a year-end Favorites album on Facebook for the past few years but it's been mostly for family and friends. I'd like to share the ones I have on the 2015 folder that I've chosen for this year. They're not necessarily the "Best" but they're the ones that bring a smile to my face and make me feel that "2015 was a good year to take pictures."

Antelope Canyon. June 10, 2015
The slot canyons on Navajo land south of Page, Arizona should be on every photography enthusiast's bucket list. The "waves" on the red sandstone created by years of erosion are perfect examples of nature's abstracts.

Castle Sunset. August 27, 2015
A must-take on every visit to the Magic Kingdom. This instance I tried a different approach to processing and I think it turned out quite well.

Steel and Sand. August 1, 2015
The Joust to the Death at the Bristol Renaissance Faire. The frantic action and the back light from the setting sun made this a real challenge to shoot but the results were worth it.

Dusk at Hopi Point. June 8, 2015
Grand Canyon National Park. I'm still struggling to find the words to describe the beauty of this place.

Full Moon and Spacehip Earth. August 28, 2015
It was our last night at the parks and we were making our way toward the Epcot exit when I glanced back and saw this view. I had to set the tripod down one last time and capture the image. A fitting end to our most recent visit.

Thank you! I'm hoping to see your collection?
I think I've seen a few remarkable shots of yours this year around the boards.

Another year, another set of favourites! Updating this thread for 2016. Where did the year go?

Sunrise, sunset. Swiftly flow the years.

Princess - Did I miss the 2016 version of this thread?

Having posting issues so will start again in next post.

I've been creating photo calendars for at least 10 years now expected for every Christmas! Yet, it's non-family members who seem to appreciate them the most. I'm rethinking the expense and time I put into them.....Here are some of 2017's favorites.
