What if you miss your fastpass time?

what happens if you miss your fastpass time? is the ticket no longer good? and when you insert your ticket to get your fastpass, do you have to use it on that ride or can you change you rider of choice for that fastpass?

I think this probably belongs elsewhere, but I think I can answer based on my time as a FastPass CM at WDW.

If you miss your fastpass time, then technically they don't HAVE to let you use it. However, CMs (when I worked there in 2001/02) instructed to accept the expired FP (on date of issue ONLY) whenever the guest returns.

Exceptions can include -- If guests are rude or disruptive with CM or other guests, if the FP line has become to congested by return riders, or if there is reason to believe the FPs are fake.

But more than likely they willl accept a fastpass after the listed 1 hour window has expired.

As for using it elsewhere..NO! That Fastpass is nontransferable! ONLY good on the date of issure and ONLY at the original attraction (only exception is in the event of an attraction closing or downtime).
