What if people were only as cool as their shoes? Dec09 TR. last hours at Disney pg19

So Marzi and I are now just putzin around and we come across one mans dream, I told her that I had heard it was something that everybody should try, I had never been so we decided to check it out.

there were only 4 of us in the theater. I thought I might be catching afew ZZZzzzz's here but, I loved this show. To see Walt come from meager beginnings to creating such a magical place is just mind blowing, to just be inside his mind for one day would be so awesome. We loved this show, it was great and I will definitely take that in on my next trip, Maybe Kent will see that Walt Disney wasn't a money hungry man that just built a place for his own greed. (feel free to flame Kent, but not me) I think Walt was an amazing person, husband, the average family man, and what would life be like today if he didn't share his dreams with us?

SO the show is over and we keep on walking and come across what we thought was the meet n greet for UP. Marzi and I hopped in line for that, we saw there was a no camera no video sign and I thought that's wierd, we can't record or take pictures of this greet, why?

We get lead into a small studio and take our seats, the narrator comes out and introduces Mushu. I figured out then that we had messed up somewhere, bu tthis was really interesting so we stayed, I laughed alot, it was just so funny, then when it was over we followed crowd down the hall, we gotinto another line and I thought ok this is the character meet, so I told Marzi and she pointed to something else and said no that's the character meet.
:confused3 What am I in line for?
We decided to wait and see what was behind the door. They opened it and we all pile in, there were drawing desks, so we grabbed seats in the back. I asked the lady next to me what this was and she said we are going to learn how to draw a Disney character.
:woohoo: I was so excited,
The guy starts talking and he said he wasn't going to tell us who he was drawing just yet, so we started with the circle, then made the cross like thing through it, I guess to get the eyes and nose where it needs to be, before long we figured out we were drawinf Dopey. Marzi was so excited, she loves Dopey.
The drawing thing was fun, I could really have a futre in this....as long as sombody walked me through it step by step.
Drawings done, we headed out front, I think I found a new favorite at DHS, I had the time of life in there, it was the greatest feeling.

alldis09055.jpg

This of course is Marzi's
alldis09054.jpg

And this was mine, I wasn't too critical of it, I think it turned out ok, I just wish I would have centered it.
Here's a close up
alldis09056.jpg

We decided we were going to head back to the resort then and maybe drink hot chocolate by the pool so we start making our way towards the front. There was a DJ playing songs, we stopped to watch a family dance to the cotton eye joe, they looked like they were having a blast. I was telling Marzi that in my cheerleading coach days whenever we would go to a competition, once it was done and the judges were tallying up the scores they would play all kinds of music for the girls to dance to, it was always things like "the cottoneye joe, or soldia boy, but my favorite was the cupid shuffel. Just then like they had heard me the DJ plays the cupid shuffel, so i get all excited and grab Marzi, "c'mon we're dancing" I taught her the steps which are so super easy and we did the cupid shuffel to our hearts content! Gosh it was so much fun, I was dancing at Disney with my BFF. The last time we were at a dance together was in 7th grade, it was our junior high valentiens dance, it was Marzi me and believe it or not my exhusband, he didn't go tomy school, he was a sophomore in highschool at the time and the principal foudn this out so we got kicked out of the dance. The next day we had to wake up at 4:00am to go to Aspendale New Mexico for snow tubing with the youth group, so leaving early wasn't a bad thing, just gettin gkicked out was little embarassing.
The song was over too fast and we were out of breath but we giggled all the way to the bus stop.
We stopped for some pictures on the way out.
alldis09058.jpg

the line was super long, uber long, I have never in my life seen a line for the busses so so long.
It never fails, there is always a cry baby in the bunch when it comes to long bus lines, we got in line behind a grump who didn't feel he should have to wait,"This is crazy, I want to speak to somebody in charge." So he stepped out of line and said he was waiting until sombody got there.
Really! I mean really? Dude it's Disney!
The wait was about 45 minutes, they were slow getting the buses to come, but the time passed quickly for us, finally it's our turn to board, the guy that was complaining finally got to speak to a man and charge and he was apologized to for the wait and allowed to board the next bus coming first, which actually put him right where he would have been in the first place, infront of us on this very bus. He acted like he had some huge victory at this point until he saw that really his complaining and Disney's offer to make it right really didn't get him any further ahead. HAHAHAHA!

Marzi an I were super tired, we laughed alot on the bus ride back, it was the slap happy kind of silliness.

Just wanted to pipe up about your readership and cult followers on your TR before I read your update. Honestly, Ty. I love your TR. I check nearly every hour or as often as I can to see if you've updated. I agree with All7OfUs about the boards being a bit quiet the last couple of days. It felt like nobody was talking on any of my subscribed threads. Of course the one time I have hours to spend talking Disney with people, nobody is around  Oh well. I really enjoy your TR and please don't think for a moment nobody is reading. You're doing a great job!

Alright I'm going to read the latest update :goodvibes

Oh, that guy you randomly met sounds like a creeper. Just sayin'.

I am still here, and still reading and still laughing...and still loving your trip report Ty. I love the pictures that looks like you are holding things in your hand,I will have to give that a try on my next trip. I also love the pictures with you and Marzi together,I am sure you will cherish these pictures. You all seemed to be having a great time together, even if tempers were lost occassionally. It's one thing when someone in your own party grumbles and complains due to lack of patience or whatever, but I really hate when someone at Disney seems to feel thier presence being there is so much more important then anyone else's.You seemed to have run into that alot on your trip, and I commend you on not letting the irritating people ruin your good time. Congrats on your new little neice too. She is beautiful,as well as the rest of her family.I hope some day you do get to take her to Disney...that would be so much fun to be there with a little one! I dream of the day when I can do that with my grandchildren...although not too soon...haha.
Anyway,keep writting,and we'll keep reading! :thumbsup2

Your Dopeys are pretty good. I'm not sure I could draw even with help. :lmao: However, my daughters would LOVE to learn to draw a Disney Character. They are always checking out learn to draw books from the library. I'll have to look for that when we go. About how long do you think the class is?

The Osborne lights! :woohoo: I love this, it's so amazing. Mom loves Christmas lights, well really Mom loves color, she takes an annual color drive up to the UP every fall, she makes gorgeous colorful quilts, and as kids Mom always went driving around the neighborhood with us to take in all the Christmas lights. So for Mom to se the Osborne lights she was just in heaven. She stood for quite abit then turned in a circle, Feliz Navidad started to play and the lights began dancing, Mom's smile took over her face, her eyes filled with tears, "Ty, never in my life, this is just so spectacular, I guess that's why it's called spectacle of lights."

We all sang with the music, yes, we all knew every word to Feliz Navidad, Marzi and I were in choir together and Feliz Navidd was one of our songs, we linked arms and hopped and bopped down the ride, stopping to take pictures and video.
alldis09049.jpg

alldis09048.jpg

It wasn't too crowded but it was full, we didn't have alot of trouble manuevering around, but as we were making our way to the other side of the lights it's was really starting to get packed, we had spent about an hour watching the lights, Marzi and I catching snowflakes on our tongue, which I don't recomend doing that, I thought it was just shaved ice but it had a soapy taste and kind of burned my tongue. Blech!
We slowly started to head out when I remembered that it was EMH, Mom and Janis were tired and didn't want to stay for it, but Marzi and I weren't done for the day, so Mom and Janis left to go back to the resort and Marzi and I hung out at the lights for a bit longer.

When we saw this it brought back childhoold memories again, we lived on our bikes, In elementry school I would ride my bike to her house and then we would both ride on to school, after school she would ride back to my house and then I would feel bad that she had to go home alone, so I would ride to her house with her and then she'd feel bad for me so she would ride back with me and we would keep doing this till finally we would agree to seperate at the halfway point.
alldis09051.jpg

We left and headed toward TSM,
alldis09052.jpg

I got a picture of scrooge with her Christmas card,
And of course I am the flame that lights up her life.
alldis09053.jpg

I told Marzi about me being her flame, she rolled her eyes, but I could tell she was rolling them out of love.
We stopped and got a soda, TSM had opened up it's FP Machine again but we decided we wanted to wait and ride it with Mom and Janis on our next DHS day, so we just found a place to sit and people watch. Kent called me a few minutes in to my people watching venture, I told him about Mike Jones, I thought he would laugh but no he was upset that I would even talk to the guy. Kent and I have this conversation alot, "Ty, you're too trusting, you're too friendly, you're too open, yoo're too flirty."
I am not a flirt, even thought in 8th grade, 9th grade, 10th grade and my junior year I was voted class flirt, I just think I am a friendly person. In his defense I wasn't that cheerful outgoing person when he met me, I was years into my abusive marriage and basically was afraid to speak or have an opinion about anything, it took me years to get back to being myself" He thinks I have changed, and I have changed but not into a new person, I have changed into the person I used to be, it scares Kent.
Anywho we decide not to argue about the same old thing while on my trip, instead we get mushy, I love you! I love you more! No I do.! No, I love you to the moon and back! I love you to the moon and back infinity!
(anybody getting sick yet?)
Do you miss me Kent?
You know I do.
But you don't miss my cooking!
No, that I don't miss.
Are you keeping the house clean?
As much as I can, but I stink!
You stink? Why?
I can't wash a thing cause you packed the sink!

AAwwwww Kent:cloud9: you do love me, you read my PTR.

I was missing you so I thought if I read your PTR I would feel closer to you, I try to imagine your voice when I read it.

(To the music, Part of your world, From the little mermaid)

Look at my bag, what do you think?
I’ve gone down the list
Now my packing’s complete
So now when I go to the world
I will have everything.

You can’t bring it all, that’s what I’ve been told.
But nobody knows what my suitcase can hold.
Cause I am determined to bring
Just about everything.

I’ve packed, shampoo, my hairbrush and irons
Lotions and lip gloss galore
Sun glasses? I’ve packed twenty
That’s not much, not enough,
I’ll pack more.

I’m going to bring all the crocs that I own
I’m going to need them for all the walking
Standing in lines and let’s not forget major shopping.

A cell phones required for calling home
To tell my husband how much I miss him
No, really I’m calling to just…rub it all in

That I’m in the World
I’m one lucky girl
Too bad you had to stay home and work,
And how you must stink
You can’t wash a thing
Cause I packed the sink.

This is what Kent was referring to when he said "You packed the sink"

I love the Osborne Lights!!! We spent about an hour walking around trying to find all the hidden Mickeys...

And I agree, the "snowflakes" are really "soapflakes" and taste nasty...

Hy Ty!!

Good Morning!

Wanted to let you know I've read all the updates, but need to go back and comment. Didn't want you to think I've dropped the ball here!

:goodvibes

I like the Mushu show... We saw it 2 years ago and DS11 was given the Mickey that the CM that drawn during the show... It's now framed in his bedroom!!! Way cool!!!

Great drawings of Dopey!!! We never took the time to do it but it'll be on our list to do the next time we're down there!!!

There's so much to do and see that it's hard to do it all in one, two and even three trips!!!

Don't forget to tell Kent about how Disney is helping out the White Rhino population!!! Disney is more than just the theme parks... It's sooooo much more!!! :thumbsup2

Oh, the animation tour! Love the Dopey drawings. I remember back when guests actually toured the "animation" building. :sad1: I believe they were working on Little Mermaid once when I was there with my family.
Love the Osborne lights pictures. The Holiday period is way too busy for us to go, but I love living vicariously through you! :thumbsup2

Oh, that guy you randomly met sounds like a creeper. Just sayin'.
Total creeper! I wish I knew what his game was.

Good drawings of Dopey. I think he's hard to draw. I also liked your packing poem.

Dopey wasn't the easiest to draw but the instructor really helped alot with hints and tips. The key is to draw lightly until you are satified then after adding all the extras go back and darken and shade things.

Hi Lisa, glad you're still here.
The pictures of me holding things was fun to do, I tried different things throughout the trip, just thought it would be neat to have a different picture of the hat and stuff for my album.
I love the pictures of Marzi and me too but I totally regret not buying a Disney frame to put them in.
I understand that people get tired and cranky on vacation, but the majority of the people are in the same boat, so I agree with you why do people feel they need special treatment over anybody else?

Your Dopeys are pretty good. I'm not sure I could draw even with help. :lmao: However, my daughters would LOVE to learn to draw a Disney Character. They are always checking out learn to draw books from the library. I'll have to look for that when we go. About how long do you think the class is?

I bet you could draw, they make it so easy and you really come out of there feeling like you are good! Your daughters would really enjoy that class on drawing, I'd say the class is less then 20 minutes, if you go twards closing or early in the day then the wait time is practically nothing.

I love the Osborne Lights!!! We spent about an hour walking around trying to find all the hidden Mickeys...

And I agree, the "snowflakes" are really "soapflakes" and taste nasty...
There's hidden Mickeys in the Osborne Lights? Bummer I wish I had known that would have been fun to look for.
Yup, I learned the hard way that it's not really snow/ice.:lmao:

Hy Ty!!

Good Morning!

Oh I know you wouldn't drop the ball;)

There is so much to do and see, I have been to Disney World 3 times now and still haven't seen it all, the animaters was the first time I had done it and I wish I had tried it earlier because it really is so much fun, I say definitely make it a point to go.

So cool though that you got the drawing of Mickey, that is special, did the guy sign it?

So I did tell Kent about the white Rhino population and he was impressed, giving back to nature is important to him, he is a trapper, which I know seems harsh considering I said he believes in giving back to nature, but he is all about preserving wildlife, he hates when animals are put on the threat of extinction, but also over population is a big problem too, he follows all the protocol when trapping and goes a step above what he has to do, like his trap chains all have swivels on them, it keeps the animal from twisting up and breaking a leg, I have a friend who says "So what if it breaks it leg, you're going to kill it anyway" but Kent does not want an animal to lay in pain.

Oh, the animation tour! Love the Dopey drawings. I remember back when guests actually toured the "animation" building. :sad1: I believe they were working on Little Mermaid once when I was there with my family.

Oh wow, I would have loved to have seen a DIsney cartoon in the making, I bet when you watch the little mermaid it brings back memories.
Please live vicariously through me, I know I do the same on others TR's. Give and take that's what it's about;)

Here's the link to the article on Disney's baby White Rhino that was born on Sunday (1/17/10)...

http://land.allears.net/blogs/dnews/2010/01/disneys_animal_kingdom_welcome_4.html

Enjoy!!! :goodvibes

Thanks for the link, I just think it's great what Disney is doing, I sent the link on to my sister Bo, I haven't heard back from her yet but I know she will be impressed too.

We get back to the resort and go to our room, Mom and Janis were in bed asleep, so we used the lights from our cell phones to find our way around the room. Mom had bought my Mickey jammies that I had wanted so I was excited to put them on. They looked huge when I held them up, so when tried them on I wasn't a bit surprised that they didn't fit me, they wouldn't fit even after a shrink in the wash, so I had to wake Mom and get the receipt from her, she had it still thank goodness. Marzi and I got our mugs and head back to Everythings Pop to exhchange for a smaller size and then get some hot chocolate.

I got down there and first got in line to ask the CM if I could exchange them and he said noproblem, so I went and picked out a smaller size (still to big but super comfy) as he was excchanging them out for me I started making small talk with him, I can't remember where exactly he was from, either Brazil or the ominican Republic, but I asked him how he liked Florida in comparison.

He said Fl. was nice, but his home had more beautiful Biches!

I was like excuse me, more beautiful what?

Biches, Fl. has nice biches bu the biches in my country are so much better.

I wasn't sure if I was hearing him right. Marzi was smothering a laugh.

Then he tells me, the biches in my country have white sand and blue, blue water.

I start laughing OOooooo, Beaches!

Yes, biches, what is so funny.

The way you say it, I thought you were saying something else, and I went on to explain that what he was saying sounded like a dirty word in English.

So he asked me to teach him how to say it correctly.

Ty: Beeeeches

CM: Biiiiichesss

Ty: No, Beeeeeches

CM: Beeeeiiiiiches

Ty: Bee

CM: Bee

Ty: Ches

CM: Ches

Ty: Beaches

CM: Biches:)

He really was cute and kept trying to say it even after I got my new jammies and left.

Marzi and I got our hot chocolate,
alldis09081.jpg

I always add a few chunks of ice to mine and drink it with a tiny straw, (libation transfer unit)

Marzi said I was a wuss. We went and sat close to the pool and I started sipping at my chocolate which was nice and cooled off from the ice Marzi however just dove right into hers
alldis09103.jpg

alldis09102.jpg

She immediatley spit it out because it was too hot.
HA! I might be a wus, but I still have my tastebuds intact.

We called our husbands and kids then, my DH wasn't home so I told the kids if he gets home before 10:30 have him call me.

SO after our calls and chats we went back to the room, Mom woke up and so I showed her my drawing of Dopey, she said it sounded like it was so much fun and she wanted to do it on our next DHS day. I was up for that.

I took off that days war paint, brushed my teeth, all of them, even the ones in the way back and then I crawled into bed, it was almost 11:00pm we had just shut the lights off when my phone rang, it scared everybody to death, my ring tone is "Tears Don't Fall" by Bullet for my Valentine, and it starts out with a scream, so we all screamed, I jumped up and grabbed my phne, it was Kent, I told him I could talk for a few minutes, I took the phone outside and sat in front of the door, we ended up talking almost an hour.

When I went in all 3 of my roomies were snoring, so I got Moms white noise maker and plugged in the ear buds, I went down the choices, babbling brook sounded like somebody peeing off a bridge so no to that one.
Ocean waves was nice till the screaming seagullls start screeching so no to that
chirping crickets, sounded like mice, so no to that
rain showers, this was nice so I turned it up as loud as it would go I could still hear Mom snoring but mixed with the rain showers it kind of just sounded like distant rumbling thunder.

I fell asleep farely quickly, the next day was our Epcot day, our early morning breakfast ADR's at Akershus and soarin!

Not too much later a man comes up to the desk and tells me he has a Beyond store order he would like to pay for, I go to the printer and pull it out, I verify his name

"Harry McChickenbutt?"

He replies, "It's prounced, (I'll sound it out for you) Mic hiken bute."

[/B]

OMG I am so cracking up, I wish I could be the person nearby to have heard that....my computer screen is covered in ice cold coffee I have been sipping but that was so worth the mess!!!!!!:rotfl2:

Hi Again!

I could have sworn I came back here last night and posted about the Lights, your Animator's Studio drawings and everything. Dang skippy- not there!

Your photos of Marzi and her cocoa are funny. Hope she could taste her Akershus breakfast the next AM. :lmao:

Biches. :rotfl2: Yeah, I know what you're talking about here.

I'll be interested to see if you could get up the next day. Sounds like you were up pretty late.

Ty~

Too funny! Loved how you tried to help the poor CM learn a new word. :rotfl: So cute! I did that with an exchange student when I was in high school, she loved all the new slang and wanted to write them all down and their meanings. She was from Spain, and her name is Chus Jesus Velore. Isn't that a great name?!? My name is Camille and of course anyone I know who is from Mexico, South America....or Spain, will take my name and turn it into the spanish version....Camilla. Which sounds so cool when they say it.......unless it's being yelled all the way across the lunch commons in school! :scared: Yes, yes, she saw me all the way across the lunch hall and yelled my name as if I wouldn't see her without her screaming it!

Camilla! Camilla! Camilla! Over here Camilla!

 Chus! You crazy Spainard! Shuuuuush! :ssst: As loud as one can whisper yell! She was a lot of fun, and had the most intense, amazing green eyes I've ever seen on anyone until I met my daughter. There was one other girl in our school from Spain, Usa and she and Chus could drink any man under the table and then some. :drinking1 Needless to say, they became fast friends and were stuck to one another like glue their entire stay in the states.

LOL! I loved your description of how your phone went off, sounds like you needed a different song on there while you were in WDW. LOL! I wish I could put a song on mine, but we have to have the data package in order to put songs or that sort of thing on there. Stupid.
Your a great writer to read from, Ty. I have fun reading your TR, and I always look forward to your next installment. Keep up the good work and keep us in stitches.

Ohh Ty I hope you get to your Epcot installment before tomorrow!!! Im leaving for Epcot tomorrow night and we'll be there all day on Saturday and I sooo wanted to read about your Epcot day before I went and did my Epcot day... I'll keep my figers crossed but if not I'll get to read it when I get home. :goodvibes

Holy crap, girl! I was way behind!

The angry couple stepped aside and the crowd cheered, the wife cussed the cheering crowd.

What is up with the sense of entitlement and superiority??? You can get a lot further by being nice! :rolleyes1

This is the jacket I bought

Love the jacket!

I told her to give me her best "I'm scared look"

Great scared face!

she only sees with one eye at a time, this is stemming from an eye surgery she had as a child to fix her crossed eyes.

I had the same surgery when I was five and cannot see a lot of 3D stuff either. I always feel left out in those shows! :confused3

I was so stoked when I found a yingyang necklace that said BFF, the white side had a black Mickey head, the black side had a white Mickey head.

Love the necklace!!!

she had just gotten her electric bill and said "Egads! (yes Grandma says Egads!) any way "Egads!, I'm going to have to get my old corner back"

OMG!!! I have GOT to remember this! Tom will flip! :rotfl2:

It wasn't long before our waiter came over, he was super nice and easy on the eyes.

Again with the cute waiter...:rolleyes1

Matt: Addalyn Belle

Awww, congratulations! :lovestruc

He answers, "Mike Jones."

Idiot...:sad2:

before long we figured out we were drawinf Dopey.

Your pictures turned out fantastic!

Biches, Fl. has nice biches bu the biches in my country are so much better.

:rotfl2: :lmao:

Your mom's snoring like "distant thunder" :rotfl2: I'm excited to hear about your breakfast at Akershus. I'm hoping to get some chillaxing time at the resort in February. Your nights seem so laid back, drinking hot chocolate by the pool :cloud9:

Hello! I've finally caught up on your trip report! Sounds like you had a great time! I can't wait to read more.

DH and I will be taking his parents to Disney on Sept 25 thru Oct 3. We will be staying at CSR. It's his parents first trip, we are taking them to celebrate their 40th anniversary. It will be our 10th anniversary as well. I am looking forward to an adults only vacation. My son will be a freshman in high school by then and I don't want to take him out of school. I'll be sure to subscribe to your new PTR since we will be there at the same time.

Marzi recovered quick from her burned tongue, I don't think it gave her any trouble, but who was the smart on ehere? Somebody say it!;)

Biches, he really was a precious guy, he pops up in the story again later.

Cute story about your friend, she sounds like fun, are you two still in touch?

I named my daughter Marrisa, it's pronounced Mareesa, hence the nickname Reese, but everybody would call her Marisa except for people of spanish decent, we even changed the spelling of her name to Mareesa just so people would get it right and a few still mispronounce her name, even her biological father who is Mexican misprounces her name. :confused3 go figure.

Your a great writer to read from, Ty. I have fun reading your TR, and I always look forward to your next installment. Keep up the good work and keep us in stitches.

I tried switching my ring tone to somthing a little more subtle but then I never heard it ring, I need the scream to draw me out of a daze.
Thank you so much for compliment, I love to write and tell my story I just have a hard time relaying it from the mind to the computer, so many people here on the Dis have such an awesome way of turning a phrase.

:goodvibes
I will try and get it out by tommorow sometime, I wanted to get the Epcot update started today but stuff always happens and life gets in the way.

Have a great time on your vacation, will you be doing a TR? If so send me the link I will gladly read.

Holy crap, girl! I was way behind! It happens, no worries, I'm glad to have you back though:hug:

What is up with the sense of entitlement and superiority??? You can get a lot further by being nice! :rolleyes1
I know right, he probably thinks his poop don't stink!

Love the jacket!
I love it too and hope to get another one in a different color, they had black which is meh, and they had hunter green which is my favorite color.

Great scared face!
She did well in the scary face competition.

I had the same surgery when I was five and cannot see a lot of 3D stuff either. I always feel left out in those shows! :confused3
3-D must have gotten better over the years, before it didn't work for my Mom at all, now she can see some 3-D stuff depending on the quality of the show. Philharmig was the best 3-D show for mom. I think she would have done ok at the muppets show too if it weren't for that guy and his hat. Her eye automatically focuses on the nearest think and that happened to be his hat.

Love the necklace!!!
I'm going to get another one for my sister when I go back, she is my other BFF and then I will kepp the black side this time, cause even the I am the ying, I have been known to yang.

OMG!!! I have GOT to remember this! Tom will flip! :rotfl2:
Yea, Kent flipped the first time I said it to him, it's just so much funnier when you hear a 96 year old woman say it.:lmao: My grandma is a little spitfire.

Again with the cute waiter...:rolleyes1
I know I had such good luck with the hottie hot waiters, well just good luck in the sense that I got to have a nice looking man serve me, but that is where the good luck ends, not that I tried anything to further my luck...not that I wanted to further my luck...Is this cool? You get me right?

Awww, congratulations! :lovestruc
Thank you, I love my sweet Addy niece, I can't wait to meet her, and see Jazz again.

Your mom's snoring like "distant thunder" :rotfl2: I'm excited to hear about your breakfast at Akershus. I'm hoping to get some chillaxing time at the resort in February. Your nights seem so laid back, drinking hot chocolate by the pool :cloud9:

that's the best way to describ my Mom's snoring, it horrendous, we had gone on a trip up north one year and I forgot to bring my fan for white noise, I didn't sleep a wink, by 3;00am my eyes were jittery and I was crying. She snores worse then my husband, his snore sounds like an old man yelling "WAAAAAIIIIIIITTTTT!"

I loved our laid back nights, I think I slept better because of them, having time to just simmer down from the day was great. Try hot chocolate by the pool on your next trip, you'll see what I mean.

--Mary
AWESOME! we have the same travel dates, I can just look at your ticker and know how many more days till my trip, really only 7 months and 28 days? I thought it was longer then that? Yay us!:woohoo:

We will be celebrating our anniversary as well, together for 15 years and married for 12.

Adults only vacations rock. My daughter will be a junior in high school and is looking forward to staying home alone, hahahah( I have plans for grandma to come over every day) My son will either still be in bootcamp or will be at his next duty station by then, he graduates HS this year and is going into the Coast Guard.

I will be starting a PTR soon, will you be doing one? Maybe we'll have an accidental meet up, or maybe oooo I like this idea...maybe we could have a small meet up and grab a margarita in celebration of our anniversarys? What do ya think? I mean I know we just met and I'm already planning a double date here, but hey we've got 7 months and 28 days to mull this over.:goodvibes
