What if people were only as cool as their shoes? Dec09 TR. last hours at Disney pg19

We headed down towards TSM, when we got there the standby was 105 minutes and all the fast passes for the day were already distributed, they had roped off the FP machines.
I knew we'd be back, so now worries. I kept calling BO all day to see if she had any new updates about Matt and Lola. I was so excited for this baby to come.
We went to the little mermaid, the next show was in 15 minutes so we just sort of dilly dallied around, checked a shop or two, looked at some pins, more then likely stopped for some fresh air.

I know I mention alot in this story about the smoke breaks, I only mention it because it becomes pertinant to the story later, I am going to start skipping the smoke breaks unless it is important to the story, just kno wthat we stopped for one about every hour. (I know, that's alot)

Finally it was time to go see the little mermaid, this show made me think of Lola, she lovesmermaid and she told me that when she was little she used to pretend that she was Ariel, and I think that's so cute because my brother MAtt loved the little mermaid and used to pretend he was Eric, I remember him jumpingoff the side of the coach yelling, "I've lost her once and I'm not gonna lose her again." Sweet kids I tell ya.

Again Mom and I were behind a man in a hat, I layed my head on moms shoulder so I could see around the guy and I ended up drifting off to sleep, It felt so good, it was a good sleep, I even drooled on moms sweater, I didn't tell her though.
After that we went to ride TGMR, the line wasn't real long, we waited about 10 minutes, I like this ride, it's so neat. I told Mom to get her video camera out and tape some of this but she didn't want to, she wanted to just enjoy it, I can't blame her for that.
We had a lady gangster who hijacked our ride vehicle, she was not convincing at all, her acting was so bad I felt embarrased for her. I made up this whole story in my head, that it was her first day, she really did an awesome job at her lady gangster audition, but now her nerves are getting the best of her and that's stopping her award winning debut. She will get better with time, it just aint gonna happen during my time.

Loving the ride, always do, Mom sings along with everything, or quotes the line, you'd think she had done this ride before, but now she is a movie and song buff. I can't watch a movie without her telling me who the lead man is married to and who he has a child with and what show that child is starring in right now and who that child is dating and has another child outof wed lock to which actress, Really I don't get to watch movies with mom, I just get a hollywood update from her inquiring mind. So anyway, we get to the wizard of Oz scene and Mom is mad now, "Ty, why didn't you tell me they had the wizard of Oz in here, I would have taped that, shoot, I really wanted that too."
I told her we would go again and she forget it she didn't want to waste the time doing something we already did."
She was mad, and this made me mad, I am not in charge of her camera, I reminded her about her camera alot but she was always so immersed in Disney she didn't bother with the camera. I started crying, just a few tears, it was just a bundle of being tired, excited for the baby and hungry mixed in with Mom blamingme for her missing the "shot" Marzi put her arm around me and I rested my head on her. She got it.

The ride was over and we made our way to Star Tours, Mom seemed to be over her upset at missing out on recording the wizard of Oz. I however had to go itno a bathroom and fix my eye make up as best I could,

Star Tours was walkon, Janis loved the whole theming going up to the ride, she kept touching the rails again though and I had to make her wash her hands, I was super hungry I dug out the cookie from earlier and had a few holdme over until dinner bites.

The ride was awesome, we were in the very front seat, any other time I go on this ride if I am not in the fron row I get queasy, so this was perfect. Mom and Janis squaled and clapped through the whole ride, Mom was really loving it, "It's so neat, Ty it's so neat"
We left the ride and shopped the dump shop, we left empty handed and started making our way to Sci-Fi. We were 20 minutes early for our ADR, I could at least put my name in, I found an empty bench instructed Mom an dJanis to sit and save a sit for Marzi and I while I check in. At the podium I was told that they were running about 15 minutes behind, so we wer looking at a 35 minute wait, It's free dining so I have to expect this.
I head over to the bench and it's full, Mom said she tried to save me a seat but the people just plopped down, I told her it would be about half an hour wait, I needed to sit down so I am goin gto go outside, call me on my cell when they call us for our ADR.
So Marzi and I go outside and find an empty bench where we can see the front door of the sci-fi. Not even 10 minutes laterMom is waving her hands for us to come over, so we go. Mom said "They called our names but youweren't here so they took somebody else instead.

Dinner is ready now, gotta go, but tune back in for Me and Moms very public argument.

I just wasn't feeling that title anymore, so I changed it.

Now I left off with Mom and I at Sci-Fi. She was sure we had lost our place at the restaraunt now.

TY: Are you sure they called us, they're running behind, it's not even our ADR time yet.

Ma: They called us, I tried to find you and I couldn't so the lady took a different party.

TY: I'll go check

Ma: They just took another family in now, we missed it, we missed our reservation.

Ty: We didn't miss anything, calm down.

So I go up to the desk and start to explain to him when Mom comes up and says "Tell him we were here before alot of these other people and they keep getting called in before us, we lost our reservation because you weren't here."

Ty: Stop saying that and calm down (I was the one raising my voice here)

Ma: Why couldn't you just stay here, you're always leaving me.

Ty: You didn't save me a seat, I needed to sit down.

Ma: You could have taken my seat.

Ty: You didn't offer

Ma: I didn't know you needed to sit

Ty: I told you I needed to sit and that is why I went outside.

Ma: Well you left and we missed our reservation, I heard them call Michele Coyler

Ty: Mom, my name is Ty, why would I put it under Michele? And my last name is Colyer! not Coyler.

Ma: I thought maybe you put it under your sisters name and that they just mispronounced your last name.

Ty: I woiuldn't do that.

The CM confirms that we have not been called, it will be about another 15 minutes, so I told Mom I was going to go right out front and wait.

I stepped out front an called Kent, I had a good talk with him, he calmed me down. My name, Colyer was called, not Coyler. They took us in and gave us our car for the night.

I love Sc-Fi, to me it never gets old, they have the same movie reels playing each time and the menu basically stays the same, but this place is great.

It wasn't long before our waiter came over, he was super nice and easy on the eyes.
He offered to snap a pictue of us with my camera

He went over a few things with us, made some recomendations to us and then took our drink order, he came back shortly with our drinks and then took our food order. I got the chicken breast sandwhich with bruchetta. Mom got steak, that's all I remember.

I wanted to apologize to Mom for getting snotty with her, but it just seemed akward to turn around in my car and apologize to mom in the dark, so I waited till later for that.

Our food was brought out and I asked for some Mayonaise. Mr waiter asked if it was for my fires. I told him yes, and he said in his 1 and a half year that he's been working there I was the only one he came across that also likes mayo on their fries. We discussed the deliciousness of fries and Mayo and how we came to love it before it took off on the quest for my Mayo.

My phone rang (actually it sang to me, "Tears don't fall" by Bullet for my Valentine) it was my brother so I got up and left the table.

Matt: You're an Aunt again.

Ty: Is she healthy?

Matt: Yes, very healthy.

Ty: Hows Lola?

Matt: Very tired.

Ty: You need to call Mom.

Matt: I will, I'm sending you a picture of the baby as soon as we hang up.

Ty: What is her full name?

Matt: Addalyn Belle

Ty: I like that, Addybell!

Matt: Can you just tell Mom the baby is here and she's healthy, I'm going to go be with Lola now.

Ty: Yea, love you.

We said our goodbyes. I decided to wait and tell Mom once I had the picture from Matt. A few Minutes later my phone jingled. The picture pops up and she is beautiful, I got giggly and teary and I showed Marzi, she huged me.

I passed the phone back to Mom and said, "Here's Addalyn Belle."

Mom got all happy and anounced to the restaraunt that she is a Grandma again, People clapped and then our server said let's sing happy birthday, so we did.

This Picture is From christmas, Addalyn isn't quite a month old here.
Jazz is almost 2 years old, she is such a happy girl, and with all the struggles she went through to stay on this earth, the Chemo, fighting for every breath. Her little body covered in tape and tubes, I was so thankful to God that this baby was born healthy, that Matt and Lola could relax and enjoy their new baby without all the worries, they are a perfect little family. Lola is such a good Mom, she does an amazing job with Jazzalyn who is a special needs child and she is just as awesome a mom with Addalyn.
My brother is such a Daddy and tells me all the time "I love my girls, all 3 of them." He is so proud of Lola.

Any whoo, we finish up dinner and head outside, ready to go to the Osborne lights, Mom and Janis saw a store they wanted to go into so Marzi and I pointed to where we would be.

Hey, Ty,

Wanted to post a few comments on the latest update before I went back to read some more.

GMR. Love it!! I think I've seen every movie that they show at the end. We are huge old movie freaks- my kids can actually tell the difference between Gregory Peck and Gary Cooper!!

We did the Sci-Fi last trip too, and it was fun! I don't think I'd need to do it again, but the food was good, and we were bustin' a gut over the old reels. Fun stuff!

I was sad that tempers were short, but I think you are working up to an apology. It's hard to keep from getting testy when it's hot, you're hungry, emotions are running high, and all that! Hope no one stays too angry for too long.

And a new baby!! WOOT!! New babies are always the best kind of news!! Congratulations! I think it's super cool that they sang happy birthday there at the restaurant!

Backlot was kind of meh to me too. I think my favorite part was the costuming dept. We got some total jerk-off guys who did our Pearl Harbor pre-show stuff. They ruined the whole thing with their college doofus shenanigans.

Not doable with a 1 year old. This time she'll be almost 4 so I am hoping she'll be willing to experience so much more.

Unfortunately when Mom and I spend consecutive days with eachother tempers always flare, I get mad at Mom because she always sweats the small stuff and jumps the gun too soon, but we always hug and make up too.
YES a new baby! I am hoping to fly to Texas this spring and see her plus catch up on my hugs and kisses with Jazz.
We didn't get college doofus shenanigans, we got nothing, just alot of "This would be so cool to show if the weather were nicer, but we can't show you so try and imagine." What was I supposed to imagine? They didn't tell me what to do

My first TR is the reason bhind your Sci-Fi ADR? I feel like such a winner, I hope Sci-fi doesn't disappoint, some people think it's just ok, but really I love it, everybody should try it at least once. I like the lunch selection better then the dinner selection though.
I found Sci-Fi to be super relaxing, I think because it's so dark and people talk with their library voices.

I'm glad you like the TR. I seemed to have lost alot of readers, I was thinking this TR was just a little too boring.

The necklace...I get more compliments from that necklace then I do any others, it's my favorite.

Fighting in Disney is just wrong, I've never understood how people can get so upset when really everybody else is in the same situation, (waiting for a bus at park closing)

I will be a non smoker some day, I went all day yesterday without one but gave in to temptation on my drive home from work, I will be smoke free hopefully for my next trip.

I am still stoked about Addy's birth, I so can't wait to meet the girl and maybe some day I will be taking her to Disney, we'll eat at the Sc-Fi and I will tell her this is where I was when you were born. Cheesey I know.

So I left off with Mom and Janis heading into a store and Marzi and I heading over to a "zone" we had just gotten there when this frazzled looking man come sup to us, he was maybe in his late 20's early 30's, he kept looking over his shoulder, then he acted like he was trying to hide behind a bush when he beckoned us over to him.

He asked us for 2 favors and said he would understand if we said no, 1. Can I bum one from you, and 2. Can you kind of shield me from people.

I gave him one, that's not a problem I asked him if he needed shielding because he wasn't supposed to be smoking.

He said no, that wasn't the reason, people were after him.

Who's after you?

People who want my picture.

We all 3 sat down on the bench, he kept looking towards the Osborne lights and ducking like he saw somebody coming.

I asked if it was family members who were camera happy and he was sick of posing with everything they came across.

No, it's the papparazi.

I laughed thinking he was making a joke about his family crazy picture taking.

He told me he was serious about avoiding them and then started making small talk about where we were from.

He said he was from California but had just bought his Grandmother a house in Orlando, she wanted to go to Disney for Christmas so he also booked them for 2 weeks at the Grand Floridian.

"Did you ditch your Grandma?"

"No, she ditched me, she doesn't like being seen with me because of the paparazzi."

So you're famous?

Yea, TMZ has been trying to get my picture all week."

Who are you?

I'd rather not say.

"I really don't care, I'm not going to ask for your autograph or take a picture of you cause I have no idea who you are.

"You don't recognize me?

"No, Marzi, do you know this guy.?" She shook her head no

"Seriously dude who are you."

He answers, "Mike Jones."

I freak out, Really Mike jones? I start laughing, "I still have no idea."

"That's not my real name, I made that up."

"You need a better one, what are you famous for?"

"I'm on a T.V. show."

Which one?

"Desperate Housewives."

Who do you play?

(I have never seen an episode of Desperate Housewives, so I have no idea at this point if this guy is for real)

"I play the guy that so-n-so (can't remember the name) is cheating on her husband with."

"I still have no idea, I've never seen Desperate Housewives."

"consider yourself lucky then."

"You don't like the show?"

"It's a paycheck."

"Alright well, you're gonna have to find someone else to hide you from the Papz, I got some lights to see.

"No, please just 10 more minutes, I've been trying to avoid them all day, this is the first chance I had to sit down."

My Mom and Janis had come over by then and Mom was none to pleased to see me talking to this guy. I told the guy goodbye and good luck.

I told my Mom the whole deal, she and Janis thought it was fishy yet funny. Marzi had never seen housewives either so we were all just left wondering if this guy was for real.

So we head over to the Osborne lights, and we are walking and taking pictures when who do I see posing for pictures with some young girl? Yup housewife marriage wrecker "Mike Jones" he see's me watching him and turns red, I ask is this your Grandma? he turned tail and ran dragging that poor girl behind him.

I will update about the lights and everybodys reaction tomorrow.

My daughter (13 year old) seen it too and she was like, we should get that necklace for us when we go. My oldest daughter can be so sweet when she wants to be. I think the boards in general have been slow the last few days. It really seems like I've lost a LOT of readers over the last few weeks. I wonder if a ginormous thread like mine might scare some folks off. Honestly, it shouldn't!!! Most of it is just me talking to myself. And if you look at the views vs. posts, I know that there must be tons of readers who are too shy, don't know what to say, don't have time... whatever.

I saw the necklace at the muppets store by Muppets 3-D and I saw it at Pop Centurys store. I think it's really sweet that your DD wants to get them for the both of you. When my DD was 12 she had bought us BFF bracelets and we wore them all summer, then she turned 13 and told me it just wasn't cool anymore but we could still be friends. YEa, she broke up with me.

I felt like such a kid when I was with Marzi, sometimes I gotta just let the hair down and be me.

Never in my life has anybody tried the "I'm a celebrity" pick up line on me, I don't really think he was trying to pick me up, I mean really! I'm pushing 40 years with an extra 40 pounds on me. The only guys that hit on me now are the ones who are about as sexy as Don Knotts! I honestly think the guy was either full of himself and thought Marzi and I would swoon over the T.V star, or he had a low self esteem, or both

The whole non reader thing really had me for a while, and I thought all those views were from me checking constantly for any readers or posters. I was just afraid that my TR was offensive and so people quit reading, I am trying to clean up my language.

Your ginormous thread did not scare me off, I just held my breath and jumped in head first, of course it's a busy thread so I am treading water and barely keeping afloat, but it's a funny thread, I never thought of it as "Talking" to yourself, but I guess that's what it is.

The Osborne lights! I love this, it's so amazing. Mom loves Christmas lights, well really Mom loves color, she takes an annual color drive up to the UP every fall, she makes gorgeous colorful quilts, and as kids Mom always went driving around the neighborhood with us to take in all the Christmas lights. So for Mom to se the Osborne lights she was just in heaven. She stood for quite abit then turned in a circle, Feliz Navidad started to play and the lights began dancing, Mom's smile took over her face, her eyes filled with tears, "Ty, never in my life, this is just so spectacular, I guess that's why it's called spectacle of lights."

We all sang with the music, yes, we all knew every word to Feliz Navidad, Marzi and I were in choir together and Feliz Navidd was one of our songs, we linked arms and hopped and bopped down the ride, stopping to take pictures and video.

It wasn't too crowded but it was full, we didn't have alot of trouble manuevering around, but as we were making our way to the other side of the lights it's was really starting to get packed, we had spent about an hour watching the lights, Marzi and I catching snowflakes on our tongue, which I don't recomend doing that, I thought it was just shaved ice but it had a soapy taste and kind of burned my tongue. Blech!
We slowly started to head out when I remembered that it was EMH, Mom and Janis were tired and didn't want to stay for it, but Marzi and I weren't done for the day, so Mom and Janis left to go back to the resort and Marzi and I hung out at the lights for a bit longer.

When we saw this it brought back childhoold memories again, we lived on our bikes, In elementry school I would ride my bike to her house and then we would both ride on to school, after school she would ride back to my house and then I would feel bad that she had to go home alone, so I would ride to her house with her and then she'd feel bad for me so she would ride back with me and we would keep doing this till finally we would agree to seperate at the halfway point.

We left and headed toward TSM,

I got a picture of scrooge with her Christmas card,
And of course I am the flame that lights up her life.

I told Marzi about me being her flame, she rolled her eyes, but I could tell she was rolling them out of love.
We stopped and got a soda, TSM had opened up it's FP Machine again but we decided we wanted to wait and ride it with Mom and Janis on our next DHS day, so we just found a place to sit and people watch. Kent called me a few minutes in to my people watching venture, I told him about Mike Jones, I thought he would laugh but no he was upset that I would even talk to the guy. Kent and I have this conversation alot, "Ty, you're too trusting, you're too friendly, you're too open, yoo're too flirty."
I am not a flirt, even thought in 8th grade, 9th grade, 10th grade and my junior year I was voted class flirt, I just think I am a friendly person. In his defense I wasn't that cheerful outgoing person when he met me, I was years into my abusive marriage and basically was afraid to speak or have an opinion about anything, it took me years to get back to being myself" He thinks I have changed, and I have changed but not into a new person, I have changed into the person I used to be, it scares Kent.
Anywho we decide not to argue about the same old thing while on my trip, instead we get mushy, I love you! I love you more! No I do.! No, I love you to the moon and back! I love you to the moon and back infinity!
