What if our kids arrive early ?

We are a family group of 9 staying in a GV and a studio. Hubby and I also have a studio for 3 nights before everyone else arrives. My concern is that 2 of the couples are driving in and may arrive in the overnight before their reservation. (The couple with a Tues ressie on Monday night and the couple with a Wed ressie on Tues night. Can they each use the extra bed in our studio to crash until their ressie are available the next day? One couple each of 2 nights. If I list them on the ressie that would be 6 for a studio and I know that is a no-no even though there would never be more than 4 at a time. Will they even be allowed past the the guard early?

Any suggestions ?

Yes, just call the front desk in the morning before their possible arrival and have them added as overnight guests.
Give them your room number so when they arrive at the front gate the guard will allow them to enter.

The Disney computer system will not allow 6 people added to the reservation. Even though there would only be 4 at a time.

I totally am aware that I can not have 6 in a studio. I am hoping that if I add the first 2 for one night then take them off and add the other 2 for one night it will work out.

You can do that as long as you don't have the dining plan.

I wouldn't list them on the reservation at all. Or just list the one set arriving 2 days early. And although a studio would be quite uncomfortable with 6 adults, you could make it work for a night. Just call housekeeping on the first night you are there and ask for extra linens. They won't question you.
You can have your guests tell the guard at the security gate they are visiting you. He'll look at their driver's license and *might* take down their license plate number. Then just go to the front desk and say you lost your parking pass, and say you and your husband are in separate vehicles so you need 2 new ones. Then if you leave just take two vehicles and make sure each driver has a magic band to re-enter.

We won't ever have 6 in the studio. The first couple, possibly joining us Monday night, has their own studio ressie starting on Tuesday. The 2nd couple, possibly arriving on Tuesday will be moving with us and another family to a GV on Wednesday. So I hope by each morning , letting the front desk know who is coming and who is going, we will be fine.

We had SIL and BIL stay with us a couple of nights our last trip, they are locals with APs so I had no reason to add them to our ressie at all. We gave them a "spare" magic band from a previous trip so they could get into the room, but in your case it sounds like you'll be in your room when your guests arrive so just let them in.

Oh and they parked in guest parking at BWV for 3 days, no parking pass, no problems.

I have been told by the actual front desk people that I could add my aunt for a night or two. That I would just need to come up to the front desk and tell them. No biggie. So I would do that. Just go up and tell them each night this might be a possibility, and change it back when it's moot.

They need to be on the room to check in. So if they are going to get their before you, they'll need to be on the room that is available that day - the studio.

From what some are saying, you can put them on your studio for a few nights, then take them off and move them to the GV. I'm not sure that you can juggle it that way with that many people, but I've had success AT OTHER PLACES having a note added to the reservation rather than actually having them use the guest field if the guest field wasn't available. (i.e. give a key to my mother, Jane Doe).

I have done this multiple times. I often just put the first people on the reservation. Then I keep their keys and car tag and pass it on to the next people.

Easy breezy!

Honestly I would only add the first couple to your reservation. If they don't show up early and don't need it no big deal the second group can just pick up their keys a day late, if they do need it for a night they can just leave the keys with you to pass on to the second group.

Everyone staying is supposed to be listed on the reservation. I know it takes time and effort but if they're going to stay, one needs to go to the effort of listing them.
