Having two recent successful WDW trips in the past year with my kids, I feel as though I have a good idea on how to plan our days... but, what IF? What if things get messed up and we end up facing long lines? We really haven't had to stand in long lines... maybe once or twice we hit the 20-30 minute mark, but that's it. Do you bite the bullet and stand in the line or do you just walk away? Has anyone ever walked away from a ride that you really wanted to do b/c the lines were just too long?

All the time...as a matter of fact I don't get in a line if I don't like the wait time. I will grab a fastpass and go on it later. :earsboy:

Well, we have. In fact, we absolutely refuse to wait in any line longer than 15 minutes. If the sign says more than 15 minutes, we just keep walking or get a Fastpass and come back later. The thing is, though, that we have been many times before and we know we'll be back - so it just isn't worth it to us. Also, we always travel in the slower times of year so we don't have to pass up too much.

We walk away from long lines too. We grab a fastpass and come back later. I think back now of the wasted time before Fastpass.

Hi Minmate,

It sounds like you're stressing for no reason! You've been there twice and the lines were manageable..you seem to have it mastered!

And if you do run into long lines, get a FastPass or try again later or the next day. Whatever you're doing, it's working! Don't worry...you're in Disney World!

I have to admit I have stood in lines over an hour long if I really wanted to ride it. I do love the fast passes but there isn't a fast pass for every ride. We are going back on the 2nd of April and I am preparing myself now for long lines. If I get there and I am wrong about the lines then I will just be all the more happy.

I'm having the same anxiety attack as you  . I too have had three wonderful trips to WDW and have never seen the rude people/line jumpers/bad stroller drivers/long lines...etc... After six months of reading on these boards I have really gotten worked up over some of the topics and am fearful of a BAD TRIP :scared: !

I guess the worst that could happen is you throw your plan out the window and just ENJOY what ever you get accomplished :confused3 .

Just try to go with a good attitude and lots of patience, it is a vacation after all :)

Why worry about such things before you even get there. Plan as well as you can and then make decisions as they come...why worry about something that may even happen! Go with an attitude that you are going to enjoy yourself no matter what and you will!!!!!!!

Good luck and Enjoy!!!

Fastpass is the solution to many of the longer lines, but what we relied on during our Spring Break '04 trip was the ride time suggestion list from UOG. We used the list and tour plans and everything was very smooth!
