We'll be at the Fort from the 27th thru the 3rd. I would like to know what Halloween activities will be happening at the campground on Halloween night.

We usually are at the Fort the week before Halloween, but this year decided to be there over Halloween. I know there will be a double feature at the campfire/movie, but there has to be something else that goes on.

Do the kids trick-or-treat around the campground? My DD (11) probably won't be interested in trick or treating, but would love to hand out candy to the smaller kids.

My DW has already stocked up on candy to distribute by proxy by our neighbor in our absence. I told her to bring it with us so we can give it out. :thumbsup2 I told her, "you know that there will be kids trick-or-treating at FW while we're there". So come on you Halloween vets, cough up the info....!

Although we have heard that some sites give out candy...we have never done it. We usually do the MNSSHP at Magic Kingdom. However, I do know that the Fort has activities during the day that are Halloween themed. The "greased pumpkin" contest is always a thrill to watch. I would not suggest participating in it though. Most people end up hurt or almost drowning. But the toilet paper mummy wrap, Halloween games, and the piniatas are always a blast! We will be there again this year too. Wouldn't miss it! Have Fun!

We were at FW last Halloween and had a blast! In fact, it is now our favorite time to visit. My DDs 7,4,1 loved trick or treating in the campsites and saw some GREAT Halloween decorations. We will be there again this year at the same time!

we have been at FW for the last 3 halloweens and we have not had one trick-or-treater. So now we just ride on the golf cart or go to DTD for the evening.

We had so many Trick or Treaters last year we ran out of goodies
Look for us some where in the 700 loop again this year.

NOTE:
How to tell if The campsite is giving out candy/goodies.
They usually have a set up or chairs out next to the road. It seams most of the Trick or Treating is in the loops between the Meadows and the Settlement area.

Thanks Jeff and all the others for the info..... We too have requested the 700 loop this year. We have an 2008 Blue/Tan Superduty, pulling a 39' Open Road 5th Wheel. Look us up if you're there....

We will be there from the 28 to the 3rd stop by and say hello

I see you are from NC. I’m originally from Saw Mills NC

I cant wait !!! We leave tonight and will be at Fort Wilderness until Nov. 2!
We will have to go check out the 700 loop, thanks for the info!

Pirate Jeff - I will make sure we have candy. Heck If no one shows up I will ride around and hand it out. See you on the 28th!

We will be at MNSSHP but will have candy in the cart all day-will be giving it out too!!! Look for the YELLOW cart with mickey stickers on the sides! There will be candy inside!
Anyone doing the greased pumpkin contest this year??????? It gets
crazy in that pool!!!!!!!!

We'll be there from the 27-Nov3rd. We requested 800 loop, but already told Pirate Jeff we'd swing by his site Halloween night. On the 30th we're doing MNSSHP as the Wizard of Oz characters! Possibly we'll wear them again on the golf cart Halloween night as the kiddies going Trick or Treating! I made a sign for our Mickey Light Post that shows a lime green Mickey Head with"The Dis" above it with my sign in name "kg66". Say hi if you see us!

We'll be heading down in a few hours. DD and I spent most of yesterday helping my dad decorate the golf cart, all thats left is the pumpkin for the roof. Requested a pet loop, nothing more so most likley we will be in 1600-1900 but don't know for sure. Blue ford 350 with 39ft sportster fithwheel/toy hauler.
The golf cart looks pretty good, pumpkin lights on the roof line, a bat in the back flanked by two jack-o-lanterns and rope lights along the bottom.

Just a few more hours till check in.

Ill be there Tues the 30th!!!! Been pulling out all the decorations for the cart and the campsite, I have some good masks.
