what i wish my resort had

Golf cart rentals at THV like they use to have to you can easily get around to SSR main complex. Not sure if it is feasible since I have yet to stay there but I do know you used to beable to rent them way back when.

Ft. Wilderness Cabins open 1 or 2 loops as DVC but up grade accomadations to have at least a queen bed instead of murphy and double beds!

I agree, they need a true counter service (not the bakery). They closed the kid's club on the first level under the lobby years ago, I wonder if there is room there? I doubt they would giveup prime boardwalk frontage where ESPN is for a counter service.

My other wish is dedicated parking for BW hotel guests. Nothing is so aggravating as arriving on a Saturday afternoon and have to go round and round in the lot.

I could have written this! The three things I REALLY wish they had at BWV:
1. Counter Service
2. Self-serve refillable mugs
3. On-site kid's club

Counter service and self-serve refill mugs has seemed like a no-brainer to me for years. There is no way they wouldn't make money! And my nephew's love the kid's clubs, and we used to use the one on-site, which we really miss.
Since they closed the kid club, I've also thought they could put the counter service in that space.

I guess I have a #4 now, too, which would be the dedicated parking. Without the free valet, the parking situation at BWV is nuts. BWV used to be my favorite DVC, but it is no longer my favorite now, due to the parking mess.

I wish all the DVC resorts would have a connecting Monorail and room inspections before guests check in.

:goodvibes

I will comment on my home resort AKV.

I wish it had water transportation and water activities or at least a monorail. I realize it isn't possible, but it is the one thing that would make it better for me.

Home resort is SSR:

I wish it had larger balconies in two bedrooms and dedicated laundry room (like OKW) with side by side washer dryer.

The only dvc I've stayed in are OKW, BWV, and SSR.

We were at Kidani in March and they had movies at the pool M-W-F. Unfortunately, the Friday movie was rained out and we missed the other two.

I think Kidani will be much improved by the addition of a CS option on site without having to go to Jambo. For that matter, all DVC resorts can be improved by a greater CS option, like a previous poster noted. They are way too small for the sizes of most of the resorts and can get very crowded.

Yes, they had movies by the Kidani pool when I was there a few months ago. The movie isn't announced til that afternoon though, and even at that it might change by showtime.

Definitely a CS option at Kidani Village. I didn't think it would bother me that much but it was inconvenient to walk all they way over to The Mara, stand in a long line and carry the food back to our villa. I would love something along the lines of Captain Cook's like they have at the Poly - we loved it when we stayed there in '07.

Other than that, I love Kidani Village and can't wait to go back!

I like having the sleeper chair in the 1 bedroom. I wish my all my "homes" could accomodate one.

If OKW had a bakery like the BWV that offered fresh croissants and other baked goods I'd be so very happy! Croissants on the balcony w/ morning coffee!

For OKW, definately a bigger and better counter service place. Good's to Go just doesn't cut it.

At SSR, they are rectifying one of my complaints with the pool renovation and additional QS.

At BWV, definately a CS option. The only thing we saw was take out pizza or the bakery for CS.

I think all the resorts need more mug refill stations.

Bring back the free valet parking.

Addition of a sleeper chair in the one bedrooms, I was told by a CM at MS that they are adding these. It will be a welcome addition.

we would wish our favorite (BWV) had more BW view rooms (remembering it's a wish list, so the actual feasibility of it doesn't matter:)) and that they were more stringent and consistant about allowing only BWV/BWI guests to use the near lots (it's enforced on weekends during the F&WF).

we're not that interested in a CS (more CS = more day visitors taking spots in the guest lot), or another SAB (that pool is waaaaaaay too noisy and crowded for us:headache:).

other than those, the BWVs are practically perfect in every way:cloud9:

Ok, I also want a boat(or could settle for a monorail) ride from AKV to somewhere..animal kingdom?
just got back from my trip and it sucks to ride the bus all the time. I love the other resorts that have boatrides

think next trip we will try for ssr again or maybe boardwalk view at bwv

Oh and the thing I found annoying on this trip..AKV really just 4 drum songs is all you can come up with for the lobby, maras and bomas? and play them faithfully over and over? I understand its part of theming, but I am sure there are more african style songs than just 4

BWV and AKV:

1. AKV: Kidani needs Boma and Mara and Jambo needs the Kidani size 1BRs and 2BRs and underbuilding parking (if the two were combined into one, the place would be perfect). Also, Kidani could use hellicopter service to cover the miles it takes to get to your room from the lobby if room is at the end of a wing.

2. BWV: busses not shared with other resorts; wider balconies; another elevator halfway or more down the hall.

More light in the bathroom or bedroom for putting on make up. Fold out wall attached magnifying mirror would be nice too. They show them in the linen catalogs they leave out, but I don't think they are quite that expensive.

For all resorts, I wish they had wireless internet without having to bring and set up my own wireless router.

Also at all resorts, I wish they'd put in more mug refill stations, and make them 24-hour. I'm not sure why they couldn't use a barcode system like they do at the waterparks.

Grocery stores with... groceries. The selection we have now is closer to what you'd find in a gas station convenience store.

A car rental desk.

The ability to purchase DVC-discounted tickets at DVC resorts.

For my home resorts,

Luggage carts in every building at SSR. It's a pain to carry in groceries and luggage if you don't use bell services.

Already mentioned, but at THV, I'd like to see golf cart rentals like at Fort Wilderness.

I guess the logistics would never work out, but it'd be nice to have community bicycles at SSR that you could use. If there's one at a bike rack, take it and leave it at another bike rack. Of course, this would be like lounge chairs at the pool. People would find ways of grabbing them and holding onto them.

In the THV, LOCKS ON THE BATHROOM DOORS! Come on! Why do we even need to ask for this? And why hasn't it been rectified yet, a year later. How silly to have to use our room's do-not-disturb sign for the bathroom. Bedroom locks would be nice, too.

At BCV, more breakfast quick service options.

Reservations for Beaches & Cream.
