I have not seen this tip on the boards, so thought I would share with you.

I was at the photo store in DL, linking my son's Jedi Training pictures to our card, and the nice CM told me about the disc they sell, that has over 200 stock photos in DL and DCA available to purchase for $60. I was going to say no thanks, but then he told me it came with a coupon for your photodisc online for free. So basically, prepay for your disc, and then also get the 200 stock photos. It only got better when I got to the cashier, because I did get my annual pass discount, so saved $6.00 off the price of the disc, which I buy everytime anyhow.

And PS we did use a sign for the 3rd time to get picked for Jedi Training, and finally my son got to fight Darth Vader! He also was the one that got to "force" the storm troopers. He knew all about it because his friend had done it last time, so when he heard the music, before the Jedi Master said a word, he dropped his light saber and forced the dudes automatically. The crowd was totally cracking up and I have to say, all of the characters never missed a beat. It was the highlight of his trip. And my highlight was handing out our extra signs to the little guys that didn't get picked and telling their parents how to make it happen.

We did that this time (with the PhotoPass disc) as well. It is a really good deal, because you also save the shipping cost as well. Mine arrived within 3 days of my order, so it was pretty quick!

Did you get to do all the editing/borders at home? Or was it just the CD with your photopass photos and no editing? Any idea if this is a normal offer or a limited time? Thanks.

Connie, she bought the stock photo CD, which came with a coupon for your normal photopass CD free. Sounds like she'll still be able to do all the edits for her photopass disc, while also getting the stock pictures on a CD! Nice!

Sounds like you had a terrific trip, Tracey!

That does sound like a great deal! What's the expiration date on the coupon?

My DD10 and her friend both decided at the last minute on Tuesday (8/3) to try to do the Jedi show. Since we watched the 3:30 CELEBRATE the only show we could do was 4:30. We got there about 20 min. before the show. My DD has done the show twice before but her friend never has. I told them both the tip I got from one of the PP photogs (who has become one of our DLR friends). Basically they want to pick the kids who have high energy. So, I told them to jump up and down the entire time. Until they were picked or the Jedi Master was done. My DD10 was picked pretty quickly and I started chanting, to myself, pick Gigi, pick Gigi (her friend). I hollered at her to "Keep Jumping!" She was the last kid picked!:cloud9:

They had a great time! I forgot to get the photos loaded on to my card but I will be returning within 30 days so I can still do it.

Does anyone know if they have photopass photographers at the Half Marathon? (I'll post this over on the WISH board, as well, but thought someone in the know might be reading this thread.)

The coupon has no expiration date, but once you load your photos onto the site they expire in 30 days, so you need to buy it by then.

Yes, you can add borders and such at home. That's why they give you the coupon rather than just giving you the CD in the park.

What is the difference between a stock photo CD and the Photopass CD. If I wanted to do the photo pass, how does it all work, do I go somewhere to get a card? Are the photographers marked around the park? Thanks

3 tinks and an eyore they half photographers at the half but they are not photopass. you have to buy them seperate....atleast at wdw you do. I belive it was aig that did the photos

Oh great, I just came back from DLR, and now I find this out. We didn't stop in the photopass shop because I knew I would look at home.

akashellrae- you can pick up a photopass card from any photographer in the park. You will know them because they have on a vest and are standing by a tri pod. You then keep your card and hand it to each one. They are not marked but tend to be certain areas.

We got pictures taken in front of the HM one day, but the next day he wasn't there. We saw them everyday at the castle at DL and by the GG Bridge, by the lagoon, and by the waterfall in DCA.

Am I understanding this right? You pay for the $60 CD at the Photo Pass store in Disney and get that disc with the stock photos. They give you a coupon for the photo pass CD for free. The one you upload all your photo pass card photos to and edit and order? The one that usually costs 129? This is a smokin' deal. Do you have to ask if no one comes up to you? We are going the last week of September and I want to do the Photo Pass CD again but I think it was cheaper last time we went.

Thanks!

Do you know if this offer was just in DLR or is it available in WDW also?
Thanks! :)

Action Sports International is the company that takes photos during the half. You can order a CD from them with all your pics on it for about $80. You can also order just one photo if you want. They take pics during the race, at the finish, and with your medal at the end after the race. They do not take any pics with the characters. So if you want your pic taken during the race with Mickey or any other character then you need to carry your own camera. There will be CMs there that will take the pic with your camera for you. Hope that helps! Good luck in your race!

I think it is only for DL as the photo pass CD is a lot cheaper than WDW. DL doesn't have as many photopass spots as WDW.

We did Molly! Thanks. The heat was challenging though!

Yes, that is the process exactly. Except the price is the same as the usual of purchasing the disc on-line. Except of course you get the AP discount. I have not even opened the disc yet, as we just got home, but I will be getting on that as soon as possible.

Except that the DLR PP CD is only $59.95. Still a great deal though.

QueenDoOver-do you know if the Stock photo CD you bought for $60 is the same one they sell online for $39.95? Still a great deal even if it is.

I don't know, but I will check it out, as soon as I find it:)

Help! We are totally new to photopass since they had just started it right before our last visit 5 years ago and then they lost all of our Santa pictures I was going to use for my cards so we never did it again.

This trip though I booked a package and with all the coupons and stuff, there is a photopass to "preregister" before we go. It looks like a credit card but does not have any price or anything and to go to the website and look at prices, you have to register first. Does anyone know what the deal with this one is? I have not done anything with it and we will be there next Monday! Should I preregister it now?

Is it better to just skip that one and buy the stock one in the store? From what I am reading, that stock one is the same price as a regular cd but you get some extra photos of DL. It is not any cheaper that a regular photopass cd, right? The cheapest of those would be $60 plus tax and shipping? I read something about uploading your own photos but then the next sentence said you can't add them to the cd so what is the point of doing that?:confused3

What is the cheapest way of getting pics in the park? We would like to get just a couple like dd visiting Pooh and maybe the whole family in Mickey's house and in the past just went to the place on Main Street and bought the pictures already printed up in cute folders, not any cd or stuff you have to print on your own. Do they still do that? How much do those cost now? I don't really need a slew of pics since we have our own camera and take lots of pictures so what would you recommend for us? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
