What Household Chore do you dislike...

I don't like any of them but I picked "Pet Clean Up" because I really hate scooping dog poop. DH does the cat litter boxes but I scoop the poop. When it was snowing it was hard to do it so I got out of it for a little bit but now all that snow has melted and I had to go out and clean it all up. Blech! I need to toilet train them like in Bruce Almighty.

I know this sounds dumb....but I ABSOLUTELY HATE emptying the dishwasher. I know it only takes a couple minutes to do....but I HATE it!!! Everyone in the house knows it....but do you think they would offer??

Lisa - you need a "dish fairy"! My Dear Mother lives with us and she does most of the loading, all of the unloading and hand-washes the little things. I love it! 2 summers ago when she was in the hosp, I told her how much I missed my dish fairy. Lucky for me, this chore is something she can do & it makes her feel useful!

I hate Dusting! I also hate cleaning the bathrooms, but I delegated that to DH. That is really the only "big" household chore that I ask him to do. I do the rest.

I hate washing dishes. I love to cook, but I'd let the dishes pile up around my ears if I could. The thing that bugs me about it is that it's never done. It seems like I always have something in the oven when I wash dishes, so they're all only clean for a few minutes, and then there's something else dirty in the sink.

For me, it seems to be the second half of some of these chores. Like putting the groceries away, putting the folded laundry away. The dishes. Wonder what that says about me.

Others are ok. Oh, I don't iron, ever and no one else does either.

I hate to cook. Stephen does most of it. And emptying the DW. We had a 20 y/o boy that was living with us, and that was his chore. It was done faithfully. Now he's moved out, and I had to do it just this morning. Yuck, what a horrible way to start the day.


As for other chores, I don't mind any of them (except grocery shopping, not the chore, but the waste of money). I even love ironing. Very therapeutic for me. I know, weird.

I actually enjoy grocery shopping, cooking and doing laundry.

But I hate to clean most everything in the house—bathrooms, mopping floors, dusting. Yuck to any of that!

I’m hating it so much lately, I’ve thought about going back to work full time. (But only THOUGHT about it—I really do hate working full time far more than cleaning.)
