With all this talk of POFQ and SOG reopening, the brand spankin new PC and all the WL debates, I think that it is time for a wee little poll...

What hotel do you think will be getting a renovation next and why?

Plus, they've been slowly working on the Poly too.

I have no idea. Does Disney have a standard time table they generally use? Every 10 years? every 15 years? Or is it just when needed & the funds are available.

Personally, I didn't think the WL needed any renovation. It was beautiful during our stay.

I haven't seen alot of the resorts. But, if I had to, I'd guess the CR. It was looking just a bit "not fresh" during our stay 2 yrs ago. I think they could bring it up to a more "contempory" decore, almost like an "art deco" feel......

I do know for a fact that when they finish Port Orleans Frech Quarter they are going to start on the riverside! That is all I know!

Well, from experience normal hotels go through renovations every 4-6 years. Granted, I feel that Disney does take care of their rooms a bit better then most hotel chains.

Any other input?

POR is going through refurbishment right now. They are doing the French Quarter right now and I think it is due to reopen sometime at the end of this year or early next year, and when that is complete they are going to start on Riverside.

the Contemporary should be next. It's such a nice nostalgic resort but in need of a facelift - or at least a good cleaning.

I totally agree! The CR has been in need of a good cleansing for a while and many of the halls and public areas show significant wear. Too bad because I think the CR has great location and some decent eateries. I only go there now to eat, last years stay in August was one of worst experiences at WDW!
