What Hotel and When

Hello I am a WDW expert but going to DL for the first time. I have a family of two 12 yr olds and would love to stay on property. We are planning to sightsee the whole state for at least 12 days. We would love to know hwo crowded Late July and Mid August is. What summer week past July 15th is the least crowded? Also we loved Wilderness Lodge in WDW and just returned Friday. What hotel would you recommend?

Also when do we start booking for a DL Room?

If you like the WL then you should stay at the Grand California if money is not a concern. I think that twelve days, even if you were to do the area would be a lot. You might be better off to go somewhere else for half the time, or some time at least and then go to Dis. The summers are crowded at the parks, but if you go in the morning then you won't be to bad off. I don't know when the quietest time is, but stay away during the holidays. Good Luck

Thanks for the tips! How crowded would the last week of August be. We are planning to see Northern California before hitting Disneyland, LA, and the rest of SoCal.
