What have you learned on the DIS?

I have learned what The Shocker is.

I missed that one! And since I did, I'm glad google IS my friend!

When someone asks for advice about an abhorrent situation you are only allowed to kiss their butt, not tell them what you really think, even though they ASKED what you really think.

The biggie is if you ever disagree with somebody--no matter how politely you state it--you ARE attacking them and being mean.

Oh--and if you are not a parent you cannot POSSIBLY make any valid contribution to a conversation about raising children. None. Whatsoever.

GOD BLESS that site for making me feel like a NORMAL parent. Some of the things these people do (and people in my life) have me going "Um, what?"

I learned..

most Disney fans are kind, giving, polite and have a zest for living. On this boards we have a little drama but when you come down to it 99% of us are super people.

The remaining 1% can bite me.

A) You can't state an opinion w/o being judgmental
B)It's okay to bully someone as long as you are doing it nicely
C) There were many levels of hotels at WDW
D) The people who don't like you ALWAYS post or comment on your thread
just to be a PAIN
E)Some people have morals and you can tell how "educated" they must be
from the way they compose a sentence and usage of correct wording.
F) The DIS have their very own police force and they will come after
you
G) You're only right if we say so
H)It didn't happen because it didn't happen to me

This board can be a great way to learn about WDW and has the future stars of America on it too

I think I was here for 2 hours before I got an infraction.

I have learned many things since joining the DIS, many of them have already been mentioned.

I have especially learned that posting a very innocent question or thought can turn into a heated debate or a bashing because you're obviously not really innocent in posting the question - you just want someone to tell you what you might want to do is the right thing even if you know it isn't!

I've learned that I'm completely oblivious to most of what goes on around me. Because things that make other people's brains boil I don't even notice.

Oh, and my husband is trash because he doesn't wear a collared shirt to the Magic Kingdom.
