My DH was taken on stage years ago in the Biergarten and led the oompah band with a special wand he got to keep..Meanwhile the real band leader got my two DS and DD to start a dance in front of the bandstand. They were teeneagers and most everything embarrassed them but you should have seen them dancing to this polka, none of them knew how to dance a polka but they learned fast....

I've ridden big thunder mountain 10 times in a row without ever getting off! and I've seen actual trucks and other vehicles on main street!! (boy was that wierd)

I don't know if I am the only one that has done this but I have 2 things that come to mind. One is, we were staying at the Hotel Royal Plaza during one trip and after a day at the parks, we came back to find a whole wall in our room that was dead (no power). We were actually trying to get ready to go out to Friendly's or Perkins to get something to eat. I went down to the front desk and explained what had happened and they changed my room from a basic hotel room at the bottom to one of the ones up in the tower that had a loft with an extra bed so my kids didn't have to sleep together.

2nd, we took my Grandomther on a trip shortly after Epcot opened up. She was an elderly woman at that time and couldn't get around very well so we had to get her a wheelchair. Well, I thought I was big enough to handle it so I said I would push the chair. We started down a hill and she weighed more than I thought so she was actually pulling me down. We ended up hitiing another lady in the ankles and made it where she had to get a wheelchair so she could finish her day at the park. It wasn't a good thing that happened but it did happen.

I kissed (a lot) a certain boy band member in a bathroom at Cinderella's Castle - the ones on the ground floor - while they were filming an apperance at DW and he was supposedly dating a famous pop star! My cousin was an intern for their record company and got me into the shooting - and we met the night before - and well, we just sort of liked each other - he was really very well versed in history and politics - and I was only 18 - so I was totally smitten - and well, I wouldn't trade that memory for the world!

Don't tell DH! We're headed for the YC in July. And no - I didn't even KNOW DH then - so don't flame me!

Ooooooohhhhh - I've been really good to keep that secret for all these years!

In Jan 2004 I ran my first 1/2 marathon at WDW...ok, I know lots of people do that.

However, I got a nosebleed just before mile 3 and continued on until it stopped (just between mile 9/10) right before the MK. I think I was the messiest looking run/walker any of the CMs ever saw!

One MNSSHP we stayed almost till the end, and got to ride alone in POTC boat, with no one else in sight. DD1 slept through the entire ride.

We had a PS for PSB in Epcot, and I (or the CM) made the ressie for the earliest seating available. When we walked into the park, a CM with a little golf cart type car drove us straight to the restaraunt. Very nice!

On one of our handful of visits to CRT, we took DD1, dressed up like a mini Cinderella. The real Cinderella was quite taken with her, and carried her off. When she returned, her face was covered with lipstick kisses from all of the princesses present.

Don't know if this is a common thing, but I can't tell you how many times I've dosed off in Spaceship Earth. Between the slow moving ride car, dark lighting, and soothing soundtrack.....ooops, almost nodded off there!

One of my highschool buddies had a brother that was a performer in the Beauty and the Beast show at MGM.
He told me that he would talk to his brother about setting us up for a meeting. Well, that happened and his brother told us to go to the last show and wait down by the front of the stage until everyone had left.
Once everyone was gone, the prince stuck his head around the corner, stage left, and said "pssst Kaitlyn!" to my DD. Her face was priceless.
We went through a little gate and rounded the corner and there was the entire crew. The pic is of Belle, DD and the prince, but there were many more performers back there. We mingled, autographed and took pics. My DD will never forget that nor will I. My DW cried until we got in line for Fantasmic.

That was a Magic Moment! Thanks EM!

On our trip in Feburary 2002 we took the "hay" ride offered at the Wildnerness Campground. Our guide was Justin and we were the only family (5 of us ) on the entire ride. Justin stopped during the fireworks that were being shot off at the Magic Kingdom and we had our own private viewing from the lakeside behind the castle. Chalk one up for good ol' Tri-Circle D Ranch and a really cool CM.

We saw Justin the next day in the parade at the Magic Kingdom and when the kids saw him they yelled for him. Justin saw them and gave a great big wave back to the kids. Gotta love those CM's that go out of their way to make a Disney day even more magical.

Several years back, my DS (not quite 4 at the time) and I were in MK for the early entry. They normally had fantasy land and space mountain/Alien Adventure open. For some reason, space had problems, so they decided to open up Toontown, but they hadn't announced it. DS and I wandered in, and Mickey was standing outside his house. He waved DS over to him, gave him a huge hug, and a personal tour through "his" house! I got some great pictures with absolutely NO one around!

Before my DD was born, my DH and I did all 4 parks in one day. We ran from each ride to the other hitting the highlights in each park. We had such a fun time.
On the same trip we had Pluto writing us notes on placemates. He told us all about how he went to NYC for the disney store opening and hated it. Mary Poppins yelled at him many times for doing this and telling him how he was going to get in trouble. We talked to him about 1 1/2 hours. He was great.

Not me, but DS has done something he thinks no one else has done-gotten physically sick on the monorail. He had a sensitive stomache until college, and got done in by riding that "wild" World of Motion (but he was fine on SM and BTMRR-go figure!).
BTW, I think it would be such a fun challenge to get to each of the 4 parks in one day, and ride a ride in each park.

This is a great thread

I am sure other have had this happen but my magical moment is when we went to MVMMCP in 2001 and were in the first group on the Teacup - well the kids, I can't ride due to motion sickness- and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum wanted to get in their Teacup and my DS who was 5 wouldn't let them in so they had to sit in another one!!
Then shortly after that 2 very nice CM ladies took us for Front of the line rides on PeterPan and Pooh !
During that same trip we had the Ice Cream Social booked in Epcot and Chip tucked the napkin in to my DD's shirt (she was 8) and then scooped up a bite and fed it to her! I have priceless pics of this one !!
And my fave memory of that trip is walking with my DS who is skipping along and he turns and says "Ma this is the bestest bacation ebber " (he had trouble with his v's for a while)

These are so much fun to read - thank you everyone for sharing your magic! These are a few that I cherish...

- On my 10th birthday, my parents and I rode in the front of one of the horse drawn carriages down Main Street. the driver handed me the reins and I got to 'drive' the carriage (it was REALLY neat to me then)! When we went back about 10 years later, we asked about 'Jake' (that was the horse) and were told that he retired a few years earlier to a ranch near by.

- On an e-rides night a few years back, I danced up and down Main Street with Goofy.

- The same trip , I saw Goofy again at River Country. My friend and I were next in line for the tube ride. He cut in front of me and then, if you remember that ride, you could easily get stuck about half way - since there were no huge hills - and he did. Well down I came and plowed into him. So, at the end of the ride, after we plummeted into the lake, he flipped me off my tube. It was too funny.

And my most memorable experience at WDW (drum roll please)...

- A trip that I took a couple of years ago with my family (mom, dad, DB, SIL, niece, fiancé (now DH), and DS) was the best. We were getting of the monorail at Epcot and my DH (then fiancé) had my DS on his shoulders. He started laughing and tears came pouring down his face. I asked him what was so funny and he just shook his head, unable to speak he was so emotional. Well I found out later that DS had called him 'daddy' for the first time. Before that, he just called him Lucky (instead of Lucas). The two of them are inseparable to this day!

Three things come to mind:

1) In Jan 2003, we rode the JC after dark. We were alone on the boat and my DD (four at the time) got to drive the boat the whole trip. She still mentions this everytime we talk about our WDW trips.

2) On trip, we did the PSB (it was relatively new at the time). We arrived early at the International Gateway and had the whole walk to PSB to ourselves. They had us walk past all the countries for some reason (this route is normally closed off) and it was really neat to go this way.

3) Jan 2003. Everything was very slow at WDW. We stayed at BWI for part of our trip and I would get up very early (6 or 6:30) and just walk around Crescent Bay. Unlike other trips where there were lots of people jogging/ walking, on several mornings no one was around. It was really neat to be the only person enjoying the sites.

I've locked myself out of my hotel room, gone all the way to Epcot before realizing that I forgot my AP, and then locked myself out of the hotel room *again* all in one day! (I really need to get around to THAT part of the trip report!)
