What have you done that you swear no one else has done at Disney!

DH and I were the first people to hit Pirates of the Caribbean, his favorite ride, one morning. We got an entire boat to ourselves and sat right in front, with no one in the boat behind us.

He wanted to make out but I told him, "No with all the cameras, dummy! You don't want our video to end up on The DIS all Paris Hilton-like, do you? I'd never be able to show my SIGNATURE again!" :love2:

My 6yo DS and I got to do this during the EMH night in January. There was not another soal in sight on our boat or the boats around us. It was neat!

While watching the New Year's Eve fireworks at midnight on December 31,1999, we decided to stand in front of Space Mountain so we could ride one more time after the fireworks before we left (all of the rides closed that night during the fireworks). We did not even realize we were at the front of the line until a CM approached us with a certificate stating that we were the first people this millenium to ride Space Mountain. We were then escorted to the Control Tower of the ride to see how it worked, and finally we were given a ride with no other cars on the track.

This is pure evilness.....but actually that wasn't the first day of the millenium :confused3 sorry, I couldn't control myself

to make a long story short,
I got lost in MK, i was missing for about 3 hours, finally told a CM in Mickey's Toon Town, they radioed whoever they call, and my parents had been looking for me,

Well to my luck, Mickey was leaving for the night and decided it would be a good idea to walk me to my parents by the Crystal Palace.

I held Mickey's hand from Toon Town until the Crystal Palace. Lots of pictures were taken.

So I don't really think anyone else can say, Mickey escorted them through the MK

We were staying at the Poly and one night about 3am, I hear someone trying to get into our room. :scared1:
Now the door is open but the latch is on (thanks goodness) DH is sleeping, he'll sleep through anything, and they keep trying to push open the door. Can't tell you how scared I was, I wake up DH, telling him someone is at our door. He jumps out of the bed and yells, who is that???
Turns out to be 2 CMs, trying to get into the room( you have to wonder what they were up to)
Here is the conservation
CMs- what are you doing in this room?
DH- what are we doing? this is our room
CMs- this room is listed as empty
DH- you had better go back and check your records
They never said they were sorry, just walked away in a huff.

One year at MVMCP we were the only ones on Jungle Cruise. After talking to us for a minute and realizing we had been on JC about 100 times, the CM asked us if we would like to hear some interesting facts, rather than the usual script and corney jokes.(which we also love BTW)
It was great! She let my DS(5), "drive" the boat, while she told us all kind of stuff, and even stopped in a couple spots to show us hidden mickey's, and in one case a hidden minnie!

Augh... I got to drive the boat once as well, I was hoping I was the only one, heh heh. Our boat was full, though, it was kinda embarrassing. The funniest thing was the other CM's epxressions when they passed us in the other boats.

I once sunk a sail boat at CR. I got plucked out of the water by a CM power boat, that also pulled the boat onto the CR beach.

Turns out that the boat's hull had sprung a leak and filled up.

Was your daughter old enough to appreciate the experience? Even if not, what a THRILL for the grown ups. This stuff never happens to me :)

I can't remember how old she was then, but she'll be 15 in October. It was when they were launching RNR, that's why Steve and Tommy were there.

When my son was 6 and palying Suzuki violin, we brought his fiddle to Whispering Canyon. When we got done eating, we told our waiter that Jonathan had to play for his dessert (Suzuki parents will do anything to get thier kids to practice...). The waiter was really into it. He cleared off the table. Got the triangle and made an announcement that Jonathan had to play for his dessert. "This here kid has got to play for his supper!) Then he stood Jonathan up on top of the table and made the entire room listen. Jonathan played a fiddle tune (Sweet Georgia Brown). The room cheered. The rest of the wait staff came over and insisted on another tune. So he played another fiddle tune. One of the other waiters emptied out a bread basket and starting collecting tips after putting in some of his own money. People came up or sent thier kids up to add to the tip basket. The crowd cheered again. Kids came up for autographs (it takes a six year old a long time to write autographs...). The kid earned $22 which he spent the next day on Buzz Light Years toys and earned his worms in dirt...

I thought I was the only who lost the Kid. Guess I was wrong...I'll never do that again....Love You Tubby.

This year we're going, I'm going to wake up my son(if I don't loose him agian) and tell him we're going home on the 4th. Pack your stuff, let's go. Mom's having a bad time. He's gonna moan and groan and probably shed tears. Then I'll break down and say ok we'll stay for the rest of the day, we'll have a blast, then leave...hopefully granny and I can keep the secret for that day. So far we've done pretty good. We'll do what ever we have planned, his mind will be off the idea that we're leaving, we'll get a cab or just take a bus and get off at the new Hotel and SURPRISE !! We're not leaving just yet. We just moved.

I know it's mean...but he got Granny really bad on April Fools...He deserves it.

Posted this elsewhere, but had to add these here!

Here are my favourite Disney stories - they really did happen to me, and I have not heard of anyone else having these experiences:

Several years ago, I noticed that some of the payphones at DL would make a 'sproing' noise as I walked by. Once I was using the bank machine at the little hut inside Frontierland, and the payphone made that noise.

I picked it up, and someone said 'hello!'. Of course, I said 'hello' back, laughing that someone had 'misdialled' and reached a payphone at DL. The caller asked how I was, and I laughed, and said fine, but he'd misdialled and reached a stranger at DL.

He assured me that he had not misdialled, but was a DL CM, calling to see how I was enjoying my morning. He asked for my name, what rides I had been on, and encouraged me to go on a few more.

Of course I paid attention to the payphones on future visits, and occaissionally heard the noise but never answered another one.

I had a very odd experience once at DL and got to hear Mickey talk!

It was park closing on a very quiet night, and I was wandering down Main Street, one of the last to leave. Suddenly Pluto rushed by me, with a man chasing him. Of course I had to see what was going on!

Pluto had the man's shoe, which he had apparently taken off to remove a stone or something. The man asked for it back, and Pluto darted into the exit area of Great Moments with Mr Lincoln. He started to pretend to bury the shoe in a planter.

Now the man was begging for his shoe back, as his friends were waiting for him in the parking lot. Mickey was dashing around Pluto, and their handler was nowhere to be seen. Man keeps begging. Finally Mickey goes into the hat shop and offers the man a hat instead. Man gets a little ticked off.

Mickey finally bursts out in his high little voice 'Pluto! Pluto! give the man his shoe back!'

I think that Pluto was as surprised as I was to hear Mickey talk, because the man got his shoe back very quickly. Pluto gave a bad dog look, Mickey shook his finger at him, the man stalked off, and I continued to stare.

Had my own little private show of something very unusual at Disneyland!!!

Well, let's see, I've got quite a few I think. :teeth: How about getting into MK early and eating breakfast in the castle at about 6:00 am. :rotfl: We had lots of time with Snow White and Cinderella... they pretty much just hung out with us while we filmed the whole scene of us eating. It was very cool. :) It was also neat to walk through the park when absolutely nobody is there, I didn't even see a CM until we got up to the castle.

We took lots of back doors, secret passageways, shortcuts, etc, to get around the park with the camera crew. I felt a little guilty about cutting in line for every ride, but I guess I now know how celebrities do it. :lol We had private showings and private rides on pretty much everything because of all the equipment and crew.

Other cool stuff... hmmmm.... we got to park back behind Main Street and see all the buildings from the back... that was really neat. Got to tour the big Christmas warehouse building... totally amazing!! That place is as big as probably three football fields. I wouldn't even be able to guess. It was cool seeing all the Christmas trees and decorations, etc. Also saw a bunch of other backstage areas, where they set off the fireworks, the place where they keep all the boats, the big paint shop, the costume shop, a huge laundry place, I can't even remember it all now.

We also got a private fireworks cruise for Wishes. It was just our family and a handful of extras. :) That was really special. Boy, I guess the whole experience of making the TV show was just amazing. :cloud9: A major highlight for me was hanging out and talking with the producer because he also produces Great Hotels and he had so many neat stories about that.

I could go on and on. :goodvibes

You have an unfair advantage! :earboy2:

I can only post this because I'm the only person I know who would ever be on these boards.

Well -

Oh my gosh - this is a very well kept secret and I'm not a good secret keeper -

Obviously

I kissed (a lot) a certain boy band member in a bathroom at Cinderella's Castle - the ones on the ground floor - while they were filming an apperance at DW and he was supposedly dating a famous pop star! My cousin was an intern for their record company and got me into the shooting - and we met the night before - and well, we just sort of liked each other - he was really very well versed in history and politics - and I was only 18 - so I was totally smitten - and well, I wouldn't trade that memory for the world!

Don't tell DH! We're headed for the YC in July. And no - I didn't even KNOW DH then - so don't flame me!

Ooooooohhhhh - I've been really good to keep that secret for all these years!

I accidently, in a loud manner, "passed gas" in the France pavilion. One older gentleman standing nearby said OMG. I quickly ducked into a nearby shop. :)
