Well, let's see, I've got quite a few I think. How about getting into MK early and eating breakfast in the castle at about 6:00 am. We had lots of time with Snow White and Cinderella... they pretty much just hung out with us while we filmed the whole scene of us eating. It was very cool. It was also neat to walk through the park when absolutely nobody is there, I didn't even see a CM until we got up to the castle.

We took lots of back doors, secret passageways, shortcuts, etc, to get around the park with the camera crew. I felt a little guilty about cutting in line for every ride, but I guess I now know how celebrities do it. :lol We had private showings and private rides on pretty much everything because of all the equipment and crew.

Other cool stuff... hmmmm.... we got to park back behind Main Street and see all the buildings from the back... that was really neat. Got to tour the big Christmas warehouse building... totally amazing!! That place is as big as probably three football fields. I wouldn't even be able to guess. It was cool seeing all the Christmas trees and decorations, etc. Also saw a bunch of other backstage areas, where they set off the fireworks, the place where they keep all the boats, the big paint shop, the costume shop, a huge laundry place, I can't even remember it all now.

We also got a private fireworks cruise for Wishes. It was just our family and a handful of extras. That was really special. Boy, I guess the whole experience of making the TV show was just amazing. A major highlight for me was hanging out and talking with the producer because he also produces Great Hotels and he had so many neat stories about that.

I could go on and on.

A few years back, we were on the last car on BTMRR when it started raining and my father opened up an umbrella! It was hysterical! He looked like Mary Poppins just sitting there riding all calm with his umbrella. The people in front of us could not stop laughing and actually took a picture.

Man I would love to have that picture!!.

My parents were at the POLY during Charlie. I left the POLY right when it was starting to get bad. Did you have a lagoon view? The waves were insane!

I also did Ride Out crew at the Contemporary Resort for Francis.

Yep we watched the waves and I was sure one tree would come through the window. The crew was amazing and if I am ever there for a hurricane again I'd go back to the Poly concierge they took awesome care of us felt very safe.

One evening we were coming home to WL from EPCOT on the bus. It was raining. The MK fireworks finale was going off and all you could see ahead were the fireworks. Way cool.

Ohh yes...that reminds me of one more I have. In Jan we spend the day at Epcot. It was Extra Magic Hours at MK so most of our crew went back to SSR after Epcot, but my 6 yo DS and I hoped the monorail over to MK for the extra 3 hours. As usual we requested to sit in front of the monorail. We got lucky and had perfect timing and got to watch the fireworks from the front. They went off just as we rounded the corner. It was very cool!! Not to mention watching the MASS of people leaving MK as we were going in...we had a great 3 hours and rode SM "ump-teen" times

We had a personal driver when we stayed at the Beach Club.

One evening, we were on our way to MGM and decided to take a cab (don't know why we didn't take the boat ). We asked a valet to call us one and instead he pulled around the Town Car and told us to hop in. He took us to MGM and said anywhere else that night, just call the BC and let him know.

He said that a few weeks before, Bruce Willis had sat just where we were. We used him later that night to take us home after Fantasmic.

I've also almost crashed taking an Illuminations Cruise.

My ex and I took the Breathless Illuminations cruise, which zips around Crescent Lake. It was very dark and we were in that canal near the BWV and the driver wasn't paying attention to where he was going. All of a sudden, my ex saw lights ahead of us and realized we were about to hit a boat. The driver had to cut it to the right at the last minute and we were freaked out for a few minutes. But then we laughed about it. Was a fun experience!

Back in our commando touring days, we entered Epcot's International Gateway at 7:30 am for early-entry (from BWV) and rode Test Track, then exited via the main entrance, took the monorails to the Magic Kingdom, got to Fantasyland at rope-drop and got the 2nd ride on Dumbo.

Took my 13 yo DS to the Adventurers Club AFTER midnight

Before we'd been to WDW we'd been to Universal; they'd nearly killed him with hidden nuts in a dessert, and he spent most of the rest of the trip in a wheelchair due to a reaction to the steroids and terrible leg/joint pain. He finally was emerging back to his normal self, and he and I closed down DisneyQuest, then needed to get back to POR. The boats were done, and we were headed for the bus stop over on the PI side. We cut through Pleasure Island, and his legs gave out; he couldn't walk any further. It was pouring rain. I looked around and ducked him in to the AC, and quietly explained to the bartender what was up. He and 2 other CMs were SO kind. They gave him a mountain dew; did the thing with the barstools and distracted him from how miserable he felt. Eventually he was recuperated and able to walk as far as the bus stop. So he could tell all his buddies he went to a bar after midnight.

In 2001 we had a great trip my hubby gave people a drive to the kingdom and in return they gave us 4 tickets to universal, then the next day universal gave us 4 tickets to islands of adventure for free ( I think they thought hubby was famous cause when I went up to see about buying the tickets for islands they looked at him and asked if he was with me , I said yes and bam 4 tickets for free!!! hubby has beautiful long hair I think they thought he was a rock star haha ) then at mgm they gave us a backstage tour of rock n roll rollercoaster, and we rode the ride 2 times in a row without getting off it. Then at the beatle juice perfomance they had us stay after it for the kids to meet the cast and have pictures taken with them all. It was a magical trip in 2001!!!

My DH and I have found the "secret path" at AK. This was a few years ago and when we went last January, we couldn't find it anymore. I am glad we were able to find this hidden treasure when we did.

We had our rehearsal dinner at California Grill on 10/3/03. It was a late dinner and we were all ready to leave when we got our own private viewing of Wishes. I guess they were testing it before they started showing this at MK. They had the surround fireworks, where you could see them all over the lagoon. It was breathtaking and I took this as a good omen for our marriage!

My husband and I were at Disney just a few days after Sept. 11th -- the parks were empty!! We were at the AK and near the end of the day we returned to ride our favorite ride Dinasour - after the ride when it was time to get off - there was no one waiting to ride - the CM asked us if we wanted to go again and we said sure - we never got off the ride and went right thru again when we pulled back around at the end - we shouted - again!! And sure enough - off we went -- when that third ride was over - the CM asked again? We said sure - the CM said to just stay on the ride until we told him we wanted off -- 8 trips later - we were feeling a little woozy so we told them that was all for us! It was great though - 8 times around - in our own car for the last 7 trips - we had a ball looking at all of our pictures on the way out.

It was truly a memorable experience for us and was all we could talk about the rest of the trip...even now we will occassionally say to each other -"hey - remember when we rode Dinasour 8 times in a row..."

I love the Disney magic!

I've....

...taken the chicken exit on PotC b/c I thought it would be too scary (age 6).

...screamed "Get me out of here!" for the ENTIRE 10 minutes that we were stuck in the hallway scene on HM (same trip).

...gotten engaged at Sunset Point during a major thunderstorm

...had a picture of DH and I taken on Main Street with no one else visible in the background (one week after 9/11/01).

We raise Percheron horses and recieved a private behind the sceans tour of the horse barns several years back. It was very nice but sad that Disney was not putting the empahsis on horses that they use to. At one time they had a six horse hitch of Percherons but as the employee said "we get more bang for our buck with Mickey".

At least they still have the trolleys, carriage rides and hay rides.

DH and I were the first people to hit Pirates of the Caribbean, his favorite ride, one morning. We got an entire boat to ourselves and sat right in front, with no one in the boat behind us.

He wanted to make out but I told him, "No with all the cameras, dummy! You don't want our video to end up on The DIS all Paris Hilton-like, do you? I'd never be able to show my SIGNATURE again!"

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of these. Here are ours...

1. DH and I ran from BTMR to POTC at close last spring and caught the last boat of the night. We were the only ones on our boat and all the boats in front of us and behind us were empty! It was great, and we have great pictures of the ride now.

2. DH and I were the only ones on a bus back to our hotel.

3. We were also the only ones as far as the eye can see on a monorail ride to EPCOT. We set our camera up behind the seat across from us and took a picture of ourselves with nobody sitting anywhere behind us!


I love Disney magic! The whole POTC experience still makes me smile--it really made the trip for me.

Clearly, I'm not the only one, but my "special moment" came at the end of an e-ride night. We got on the last log of the night at Splash Mountain, then wandered (very, very slowly) back out of MK. We even stopped at the Shooting Gallery in Frontierland for awhile.

As we finally made the turn onto Main Street, the CM's that were (gently) encouraging folks to leave became satisfied with there efforts and headed away to other things.

Ahead of us on Main Street were a few families that headed out under the Train Station. When we got to Town Square, we stopped just behind the Roy and Minnie sculpture and looked toward the castle.

At that moment, we were the only people (cast or guests, no other people at all) within the 360 degree field of vision. It was pure Disney-geek Nervana. "Fortuosity" at full volume, Cindy's Castle changing colors in the distance, and we had it all to ourselves, literally not another soul in sight, not one.
