What have you done that you swear no one else has done at Disney!

My youngest DD was celebrating her BD at 50's PT. Steve Tyler, his wife, DD, Tommy 2 Tone and their body guard was seated in our dining room. So when it came time for all the cousins to sing Happy B-day to Cousin Megan she was serenaded by Steve and Tommy. It was absolutely outstanding, then his DD brought my DD over her BD card (supplied by 50's PT) signed by everyone in their party to "Cousin Megan".

On another trip the CM at SM took a liking to the same DD (she was only like 11 so it wasn't like he had a crush on her) and radioed ahead so when we got off the ride they sent us down the back way so we could get on again right away, like 5 or 6 times in a row. And this is the DD that hates to go to WDW, she only goes along like once every couple years.

Ok, THAT takes the cake! :cool1:

After a wrong turn, guy on gate had to let me in lot to turn around because of traffic. This lot is behind TOT and huge.He was nice about it and said it happened from time to time. :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

DH and I were on our honeymoon at the GF and we were having dinner at Victoria & Albert's....we arrived a little early and the orchastra was playing.....since we took dance lessons for our first dance at our wedding, we decided to use some of our new steps and dance for a little but....it was lots if fun :)

I think I have one that nobody can say they did...

I was DRIVING on Disney Property during Hurricane Charlie. The roads were empty. I drove from the POLY, past Animal Kingdom to hit 192, and took 192 to 27.

::MickeyMo In 1997, I was able to be a part of a Cast only audience for the taping of a Canadian special featuring Celine Dion. It was held in front of the fountains at Epcot. She had a concert earlier that night in Orlando. All of us CM's (I don't remember there being a huge crowd of us though) had to gather inside the Odyssey restaurant while they cleared the park out. Finally around midnight is when the taping started taking place.
::MickeyMo There was another female singer there who sang in French. Celine also sang in French as well as doing "Because You Loved Me" and "Beauty and the Beast." Peabo Bryson also came out to sing with her on that one as well as the Belle and Beast characters. A friend of mine was so excited to see her that he ended up passing out early on. LOL
::MickeyMo Celine is SO tiny!! And Peabo has some big ole muscular arms! I had such a great night! princess:

What have you done that you swear no one else has done at Disney!

Acted as Exec. Producer for a staged theactical show that involved multiple characters (with mulitiple costomes which had to be flown in from around the globe)-both face and other, live music, equity actors, lighting, sound, special effects, still photography, video photography, television coverage, and, Bob Iger & Roy Disney were in attendence.
:) I think that's pretty unique! :)

Wow. So many moments here.

I'll add my much smaller moments. My dad, DD's and I being opening family at MK, being the only people in Mizner's and talking to the bartender from Pitt (we're from PA too), riding the monorail with my DH, sister and brother-in-law and sitting with the pilot twice around late at night. Just love Disney. :groom:

We honeymooned to WDW in January of 2004, with bride and groom mouse ears and all. They held up the entire line at Splash Mountain so that we could have a log to ourselves and have a great picture to remember our honeymoon by.

About a month after 9/11 my hubby and I were in Disney without the kids. We decided to do the Keys of the Kingdom tour. There were supposed to be 2 other parties but neither showed up so we got to do KOFK all by ourselves. It was like a private tour of disney world. Being just us, we got SO much done and got the "backway" in to a ton of rides. We had a great time with our tour guide and his assistant who helped and ate lunch with us.

The next night we were in Pleasure Island and we see a girl headed towards us, she said hi and hoped we enjoyed our tour. It was the assistant, but we didn't recognize her..lol. She had had pig tails and in her costume the day before and was now in a teeny bopper outfit with her hair all done.. was pretty funny trying to place her at first.

It was a GREAT experiance!

Well, we are about to : Go to MK only to ride splash mountain and then "hop" to the water park. Anyone ever go there and only ride one ride that day? :rotfl2:

As many others have done... We honeymooned at WDW. This was in 1992. We flew from VT with our tent and camping gear and camped at FW. Now that is wanting to Honeymoon at WDW. By the way they didn't have pins or bride groom ears back then so no one really knew that we were on our honeymoon. Great trip though.

I sure others have done these but they are rare moments for us!

Walking on Buzz 10 time in a row during the half day opening on Hurricane Charlie Day and seeing all the things tied down for the hurricane and learning about the hurricane ride out crew any one who arrives for work that day has to stay 48-72 hours and actually stay in the park underground and come out ofter and clean up.

Drinking at eating at the Poly concierge during the hurricane and watching the window bend and bow in! Time to head to the room :earseek:

Mickeys birthday party(no longer available) where my kids rode the double decker bus and danced to the room holding hands with Tigger and Pooh! Mickey gave DD a gift we supplied!

MY DD 5 dancing alone holding hands with Minnie in the parade. This is still the best moment in her entire life! She's 13 :rotfl:

Riding on the pooh ride with Tigger in our honey pot.

Riding on barnstormer with Goofy in our car.

Waking up Tink!

DD 3 Being alone with 8 characters at toon town fair!

Ok now I am crying! I love Disney!!

I know this not nearly so cool as being serenaded by celebrities, but.... my husband and I had a PS at Alfredo de Roma's at 9pm, as we'd already seen Illuminations. Dinner is very liesurely at this place at this hour, just as we were hoping and we probably didn't get done till 10:30. When we were done, the World Showcase was completely desserted. Just the theme music was playing and the lights twinkling. It was very romantic strolling about with NO ONE there! If memory serves, the bridge was up and we had to backtrack and go the other way around the showcase and through Future World. That was 15 years ago and it still is one of our favorite Disney moments. Maybe more special because it was completely unexpected!

One summer day DH and I were at AK and it started to rain, as it does almost every day in the summer. We thought it might be a good time to ride the safari - maybe the animals would be more playful and active. As we walked back towards the safari, everyone seemed to be leaving the park because of the rain, which was coming down harder and harder. I was a little surprised when we got to the safari van and they let us on - we were the only ones! - and it was really starting to storm! By the time we got to the savannah part of the ride, it was like a monsoon and the lightening and thunder was almost non-stop. DH and I were soaked and scared! All of the animals - being smarter than us - were not more active, but rather hiding under trees and brush. At one point, the wind knocked some of the "baggage" off our van and into the path ahead of us, so then we had to stop and we were stranded on the savannah in the worst storm I have ever seen (except for hurricanes of course!) It was quite an experience!!!

Spent an entire trip suffering from "morning" sickness, and getting to know all the first aid CMs on an intimate basis--had to go in and lie down about every hour and a half. But--in the rare one moment when I felt well rode BTMRR pregnant (wasn't showing yet). DS (now 17) is a roller coaster fanatic so it must have taken.

Were the last ones of of MK after an e-ticket night, and saw a "path sweeper" dancing with his broom and kicking up his heels to "chimchiminee"

Back in October, I rode with my wife on the bus to the MK, as she was heading over to the GF for a spa treatment. I waited for the ferry to leave MK and go to TTC and on to EPCOT.

I was the ONLY person on the ferry, except for the captain, a CM, Pluto, and his handler.

Dang, my thunder has already been stolen :confused3

Lets see what else I've got...Last trip my boys 6 and 4 got to "work out" with the Army men. I'm sure lots have done that, but both the boys had brand new Guest of Honor badges on and the "sarge" called the oldest by name several times and helped him "work out" thru the whole skit! and my DA*# video camera ran out of tape right after it started!!

My parents were at the POLY during Charlie. I left the POLY right when it was starting to get bad. Did you have a lagoon view? The waves were insane!

I also did Ride Out crew at the Contemporary Resort for Francis.

Spent a complimentary $500+ out of $1,000 at the Rainforest Cafe between 10 people.

There's a looooooooooong story to this one...but i'll make it short...

We were basically being embassadors for our family friends, as it was their first tiem at the world.

Well as soon as they hit property, their first moments in the world were not the best so to say. I'm not gonna get into it but basically Disney booked them in 2 hotels and their phones were wired to the grandaprents phone and our phone was not hook up so neither of them could call us etc...so that was problem #1 but im not gonna get into it all...

basically there were more mix ups and such and we didn't really mind, we had been there so many times we were just like "yea, yea, yea" and over it. But for these 1st timmers they were crushed!

So disney made it up to them/us by giving us a complimetary dinner for ALL INVOLVED!!! There was to be 14 at the dinner, but that fell through when they couldn't find a parkign space.

Now before you go and think we're greedy PIGS they gave us $1,000 dinner credit and i mean c'mon what else is one to do once a NEWBIE on DISNEY PROPERTY has only unfortunately seen the BAD of DISNEY you gotta show them the good :earsboy:

needless to say...the rest of the trip was fabulouso for all and there were NO MORE glitches!

:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy:
