What have you cleaned in your Dishwasher?

I still remember a time when no cooking could be done in the kitchen unless one's hair was covered by a bandana.

So, yes, I find the idea of hairbrushes in the dishwasher completely gross. It may well be sterile, but sterile hair in the filter is still hair.

My dog drinks water from the front of the toilet if someone forgets and leaves the lid up.

DW does all her canning supplies (jars, lids) in the DW (haha). Then she boils the lids.

Not sure why a toothbrush is gross. Think about it. You take a toothbrush and brush your teeth - it's in your mouth. Then you wash it in the dishwasher. So whatever is left in the dishwasher was just in your mouth.

I would never put dishwasher tablet/liquid/powder directly on my toothbrush. Would you?

Dishes, and only dishes in mine.
I don't think 160 degrees or so sterilizes toothbrushes. You would have to boil them at 212 for a few min to do that
