What have you cleaned in your Dishwasher?

I was talking with a friend and she was cleaning hairbrushes in her dishwasher. She said she also washes toothbrushes in there too. I have washed sponges and baseball hats. What have you cleaned in the dishwasher?

right now I would be really happy to just wash dishes in my dishwasher
It has been broken for months, hopefully it will be fixed this week.

We don't have a dishwasher -- yet.

But, I do was a lot of things in the washing machine that wouldn't necessarily go in there. Lego's are great cleaned up in the wash machine (not the little ones). I also wash all of the infant chew toys in there with hot water. They come out cleaner than if I had washed them myself.

I wash the kids lunch boxes in there. They come out very clean.

Why is that gross? I wash our toothbrushes in the dishwahser all the time. I put lots of stuff in there. Toys, small trash barrels, sponges.The baseball hats I just throw in the washing machine.

But nothing but DISHES go in my dishwasher. It's a Whirlpool Quiet II and she hummmmms very softly while she works....

Hairbrushes - GROSS!

Glass parts from a light fixture.
Silk Ivy (that hangs from a sconce).
Toothbrushes.
pretty much anything that will fit can go in there.

My niece used to date a guy who's family all had the exact same toothbrushes...same color & everything.......the Mom would wash them all in the dishwasher & then they just got back which ever one they happened to get............eeeeeeeeewwwwwww

Dishes and the sponges I use in the kitchen to wipe down the counter and table.

I still don't see what's gross about it.
Do you realize how high the heat is in that dishwasher? It will sterilize anything.
I don't put all that stuff in with my dishes.
I just remembered another use, my potted plant pots! I just repotted all my herbes and sent the pots through the dishwasher.
I guess to each his own.
