Let's keep this light-hearted. I'll start out with two that still make me smile after several years.

1) At a ticket turnstile, a man was insisting that he and his family still had another day left on their passes because the first night they just popped their heads in to see what was there and came right out.

2) After seeing several big rides and all of Fantasyland by late morning on a crowded day in early August (thank you Unofficial Guide), we noticed a family first arriving, popping out their map, and discussing going on it's a small world. Let's hope they were there for the ambiance and not the attractions! :goodvibes

After we were done riding Soarin', we saw a group of kids walking to Soarin', and one girl said :"You know what, guys? There is a ride in the big silver ball thing. It's Called Space Ship Earth".

I was laughing and called DH because I knew he would appreciate the whole thing.

For the longest time I called Spaceship Earth "the golfball", so I don't give people too hard a time when I hear it. ;)

I just got back from my senior trip to WDW and the entire time I was rolling my eyes and smiling because my friends were calling the rides all sorts of things. For example, my one friend kept The Haunted Mansion The haunted house. And almost everyone was calling Disney World, Disneyland. It was very amusing.

I love when I'm behind someone entering MK and they grab some maps, stand in the middle of the walk way, open it up and say something like "Ok, where is that new abomindable snowman rollercoaster?" or whatever ride that isn't even in MK. I always think "Mmmmmm, no planning whatsoever, you are going to have a great time."

The best was when we in line for Small World and the dad in front of us was talking about how excited he was to go to MGM the next day to ride Spiderman. :rotfl: I was almost going to say something, but the line started moving and I didn't get a chance.

Funny you should ask. My sister's friend just back from a March trip and said the following things that made shake my head:

-"Adults shouldn't have to pay to get it, if they're coming in with a kid. There's nothing for an adult in Magic Kingdom so they shouldn't have to pay."

-"I didn't think March would be busy." WHAT!?? :lmao: :rotfl2:

-"When we walked up to see Ariel a CM told us Ariel was leaving and try back at such n such time. Come on, we just have 2 kids that want to see her now." Forget about everyone else that was turned away, plus what does Ariel need a break for?? Keep her out there from opening to close and make sure she's nice to the kids.

She pretty missed all characters because with this being their first visit they didn't need a guide map & schedule. Plus she decided not to call me and ask any questions because she's been to Florida before and didn't think I would know anything after a dozen or so trips.

Needless to say, she probably won't be going back.

During my first trip in 1994, I was CONVINCED that Space Mountain was inside Spaceship Earth. :lmao:

I was at EPCOT in february 2005 and was walking past Norway heading around the promenade and I heard a lady as they were leaving tell her child to "Say goodbye to Norwegia".:rotfl2:

I guess World Geography wasn't one of her best subjects.

People walking up to a restaurant like Le Cellier or Chef Mickey's and then getting mad when being told that there is no availability.

People that think nothing of spending $50 on a meal at home when dining out but scoff at the idea of spending $50 to eat at a WDW restaurant. These are also the same people that B&M about spending $3 for a bottle of soda in the parks but will pay $5 for an 8 oz. cup of drink (soda or otherwise) at a small town sporting event.

Something that makes me toll my eyes and cringe is when I see people with the top of their feet looking lobster red because they didn't think to put sunscreen there as well as their arms. Ouch!

On the topic of the big silver golf ball, before I turned him into a Disneyphile, hubby had never been to WDW and actually believed that all of Epcot was inside the ball!

One time my DD & I overheard this woman say..

"I am staying at the Wilderness Lodge, you know that's where you can see the lions outside your room window!"

Didnt really make me roll my eyes but it definetly made me question some peoples attitude. I was on the bus heading back after a full day at the parks. It was closing time and the buses were very packed. I got a phone call from home that I took and figured it would only take a few minutes so why not. The total phone call lasted maybe 5 minutes. About 1 minute into the phone call I get an older man next to me say ride the bus or hang up. I didnt realize he was talking to me until I got off the phone. When I got off the phone the man started to yell at me saying that I was rude and bumped into him 3 times while I was on the call. A couple comments I would like to add in here...1. we were both standing. 2. I work in the city and take the train daily. You get bumped into all the time as you are standing in something thats moving. We exchanged some words (nothing rude or involving swears) just stated how I didnt think my bumping was anything cause by my phone. He said something along the lines of younger folks have no respect these days. I said look its late we are all tierd and apparently Disney isnt so magical for everyone and shut my mouth.

Okay I am really laughing at Norwegia! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

OK this didn't happen at WDW but actually at Newark Airport when we went down in 2006. There was a lady and her young son sitting next to us,and her son was looking at all the posters on the walls and he asked his mother were Scandinavia was. Her answer: Scandinavia is the capital of Denmark!!! :scared1: Norwegia, here we come!!!!!

I heard one man earnestly explaining the finger scan to another man this way: "They scan your fingerprint and then match it against a database. That's how they keep pedophiles from coming in to the parks."

This reminds me of what my BIL asked after dh, myself , and our kids returned from our first trip to WDW:

"So, did you guys stay in one of those neat themed hotels in Epcot?"

He has never been to WDW before, and thought the World Showcase buildings were the resorts!:rotfl:

One of my coworkers(the office blow hole)who has never been to Disney, tried to convince me that he already has paid off a trip to Disney. He can take the trip anytime and the price will never go up and everything is paid for including meals. It is on Disney property. He will have his own private pool and Disney transportation. When I asked him where it was at he suddenly could not remember the details because his wife made all the plans. He is not planning on going for 2 more years until his youngest child is a little older. He is too much of an idiot to try to argue with, so I just rolled my eyes and went on.

What? Plan or do any sort of research for your multi-thousand-dollar vacation? Don't be ridiculous.

"Say goodbye to Norwegia"
:lmao:
