What have others done to make you roll your eyes and smile?

My dad refers to the Magic Kingdom as Disney World. That's because the last time he was there that's all there was!

This girl called EE Escape from Mt. Everest.

Not everyone can be as educated as us DIS members. ;)

I'm laughing so hard at work, coffee almost came out of my nose after reading the story about the horses!!!:lmao: Too stinkin' funny!!!! I hear the funniest things from people each time I visit there, last funny thing I heard was last Easter week in Toontown at the train station, I heard a lady tell her grandson "C'mon and wait with Grammy for the monorail." If she was waiting for the monorail, she's most likely still there waiting:goodvibes

The ABSOLUTE funniest thing I have ever heard was a little girl in Epcot begging her mom to let her ride "Michigan Space":lmao: thought I would wet myself.....didnt make me roll my eyes, but funny as heck!!

I got into an argument with one of my guy friends this week (don't know why he thought he had the authority to challenge my disney knowledge :)
He said that Disney sucked because you had to pay separately no matter what for each park. I said that was not correct, if you have no park hopper you can only go to one park a day, but with the park hopper you can go to as many as you want. My roomates were like "She's been there a billion times, she knows what she is talking about" lol

Oh, this thread is cracking me up!:rotfl2: My favorite is when a CM at one of the rides asks if there is a party of 2 and someone always says "We are a party of 3!":rotfl:

I was trying to argue with my friends MIL a few weeks ago. She insisted that when she went on TOT, you stood up in the elevator. Can you imagine how many injuries that would cause? I gave up eventually.

My DH and I were riding It's a Small World a few years ago, when he looked over and asked "Why are there penguins in Mexico?" I almost died laughing. :rotfl:

Norway is prounced "Nor-ee-Uh" and spelled "Norge" in Norwegian. Maybe it was an attempt at the language.:confused3

The last time we stayed at the Poly we were waiting with a family at the monorail stop. They were waiting for the monorail to Animal Kingdom.

She may have been joking. My dad's favorite form of humor is to say things incorrectly. I keep telling him that people don't always know he's joking, becuase he says it straight faced. But apparently he doesn't mind if people think he's an idiot.

My friend started screaming at me that it was "Disneyland in Florida" instead of Disney World.

I actually thought that they used to force people to stand up, no seats. The reason for this is because in some disney planning videos they showed the people standing up. Im not sure if this was used to make it look like a real elevator ride...

I was at EPCOT in february 2005 and was walking past Norway heading around the promenade and I heard a lady as they were leaving tell her child to "Say goodbye to Norwegia".:rotfl2:

I guess World Geography wasn't one of her best subjects.
If you hadn't posted that it was Feb 2005, I might have thought it was us. We also call Canada "Canadia", but we are ONLY JOKING!

ETA: My DD4 started calling Pirates of the Caribbean "Pirates, Carrots, the beans" when she was 3 and still calls it that. I guess when we say it that's how it sounds to her. I keep waiting for her to ask me where the carrots & beans are on the ride.

 That's adorable!

My girlfriend does this. She insists Magic Kingdom is Disney World. Her and her husband go to Orlando at least once a year, they stay off property and usually go to Magic Kingdom one day, when she gets back she always says she went to Disney World. If I ask what park she says Disney Park, like I'm the one who doesn't get it.

I had to read your post a few times before it clicked. Wait a minute, your girlfriend has a husband? Sounds like a pretty progressive relationship!

Oh, you're a woman, I get it. Your friend, who's a girl. :rotfl:

I chuckled along to most of these things but you have to admit, you never know when someone is using an inside joke. Who knows, maybe next week one of you will be in World Showcase walking past Norway talking about Norwegia and you'll be the star of the next thread about "funny things people say"! :rotfl:

I can tell right now that I would really like your dad.

My DS4 is thinks giants play golf with it at night when the park closes.

That's adorable.

That's ok. You are still loved. :flower3:

Thanks. :)

I have one. I wasn't there for it but DSM told me about. She was on the boat to MGM and she overheard a family (mid-day, mind you) who had just pulled out a map and said that they'd work their way around the park clockwise starting at ToT and ending at RnR. As she exited the boat she told them to consider FP. :rotfl:

This reminds me of my son's first trip (and explains my tag!)......we were on the boat waiting for the Behind the Seeds tour to begin, the CM asked DS what his favorite ride was so far, to which he replied: Pirates of the Can 'O Beer. I thought the CM was going to pee his pants from laughing so hard. He gave my son a "high five" and told him that it was his favorite ride too!:rotfl2:
