What has the timeline been for others as far as the points being in the system?

Just curious on how long others have had to wait before Disney actually had the points in the system? We closed on a 100 pt. contract on the 7th. Today we got the email that the 50 points we purchased through Fidelity closed this week. I believe the Timeshare store said it can take 14 to 28 days for it to show up. Then today Fidelity said 1 to 2 weeks to be in the system. THANKS

There have been a couple reports lately of Disney working faster on resales, maybe because direct sales processing has slowed due to Aulani Gate.

I know it will eventually happen. I was wondering if anyone could say how long it took for their contract to appear in the system after closing.

I'm wondering the same thing. We sent in our paperwork on Oct 6, got an e-mail on Oct 11 saying everything was set and that it would take 1-2 weeks before disney got us into the system. I wasn't expecting anything for awhile but, we received a booklet today from disney that has pictures and floor plans of all the dvc resorts....but no account number......i haven't gotten around to calling member services yet but, I'm thinking we might already be in the system.

During the crazy busy time, our points on resale were in the system about 12 days after closing, the points we sold were taken out of our account at day 10 after closing (same time frame) and before the crazy period back in March the resale we bought (in 2009) it took about a week for the points to be in the system. I have read recently about week. Good luck!

I think I will call MS tomorrow and see. Since we bought points in a different UY, I can't pull it up on the website.

It took about 10 days for our points to show up after receiving confirmation of close on 9/22.

We bought 2 UY also and it does show up on your member site if you titled it the same, just shows under another contract #.

Hi, Denise!

We have purchased 7 contracts through resale. Most showed up in the system within 5 - 7 days of closng. Since yours will have a different member id (if I remember correctly) that seems to take a a day or two longer, because I think they have to set up the account first, then load the contracts.

My last 3 took longer than normal, because we purchased them at the height of the resale changes. So I'd say you'll have access to them 7 - 10 days post closing. Just my best guess based on history.

Oh, and when I got my 2nd member id, I didn't have to do anything special. When I logged in, it was listed under the same view. I didn't have to log into it separately or have MS do anything special to gain access.

Took about 10 days from the day I closed until I was in the system and the points loaded for use.

We closed with Fidelity at the end of August, they sent us the email about waiting 1-2 weeks, I waited 7 days and called just to see. We were already in, but since I didn't have my member number yet they transferred me to member admin and I verified who I was by answering a few questions. They gave me my member number and transferred me back to MS. I was then able to make a reservation.

After that I got two things in the mail, one was our member cards.

I also was able to book the last 2 bedroom villa in the system for the Saturday after thanksgiving! I couldn't believe it! Many thanks to Sharon and Rachel at Fidelity, and also their closing company!

we closed on 10/11 and I got a letter today (10/17) (4 business days) with my member number on it. It said I would get the actual Member card in 4-6 weeks but can make reservations immediately.

We just made it into the system as well (on Tuesday 10/18) with a closing on Thursday 10/13. So it was about four business days for us. So happy to finally officially be a member. I already called and booked my first stay for December 27th for 1 night at VWL- really surprised they had anything available, but very happy!

Well we closed on Oct. 7th but just found out yesterday that the points can't be transferred until after Dec. 15th because the owners have a pending reservation. I have another thread about this.
