What has been YOUR experience with all these dessert parties??

For those of you who have done the tomorrowland terrace party who said the view wasn't all that great, was it obstructed just not that special for the price?

We have done 2 dessert parties.

We did the Osborne lights party last year. We had not seen the lights before, so being able to see them was great. I personally have trouble if I eat too much sweets, but my other family members had quite a variety of foods. Was it worth it? Absolutely! It became worth the price as we watched the crowds and lights at first from a non-packed area- I looked over and saw my 83 year old Pop with the biggest smile I had seen since Mom passed away in 2008! Would not have been able to stand back and watch him without the party!

We did the Star Wars party last Monday month. First off, a very hearty "Thank You" to @yulilin3 for all of her hard work and good advice on the Star Wars party thread. The thread is amazing so if you are thinking of going, do yourself a favor and check it out.
The view alone was worth the price (& not having not to wait in the heat for a similar view). The desserts were good and there were even some cheese and fruit selections. Would I do it again? If the show changes significantly, then yes. Otherwise, I don't think we would need to (unless I come into some extra money). But I am glad we did it. Besides, I hadn't the wonderful opportunity to meet another Dis'er!
In all, I am happy with my choices. If Osborne came back, I would gladly do it again and Star Wars if the show changes. I am considering doing the Illuminations one for the 4th of July if it is offered. And possibly the Wishes one on the 3rd.
I hope this was helpful. And I hope you have a wonderful vacation whatever you decide!

I've done the Wishes dessert party 3 times, the Star Wars one once and the dessert party at MNSSHP once. For me personally, it's more about the reserved, comfortable/not crowdedviewing spot and not having to stress about getting a spot or waiting for a crazy a really long time before it starts to secure a good spot. The desserts are secondary, although I've always enjoyed them at all the parties I've been too.
