What happens when ....

you book a cruise on points and then the "fare" is lowered and you get a refund of points. What happens to the refunded points? Do they go back into their regular use year or are they considered "exchanged" points and need to be used outside of the DVC?

Sorry if I am not making sense but I am going to book a Oct 2002 cruise on points and then hope for the fall fantasy special and get a refund.

First, the special could possibly not happen, but if it did ,the points go back into your regular allotment.

normr, thanks for the reply...yes, I hope that the fall special happens again next year but I am not counting on it.
