What happens to used resort furniture?

Does anyone know where the resort furnishing go when Disney does the resort refurbs? I've called and asked, but, the person I spoke to was very vague. I couldn't get a straight answer.

It gets sent to a place called Property Control where Cast Members can buy it for very resonable prices

Thanks for the link - when the GF did their major refurb 2 years back, I was ITCHIN' for some of the furniture in the concierge.. the chairs, the couches, anything! Such beautiful stuff!

When we were at OKW last year in the beginning of September it looked like they were replacing some of the furniture in the building next door. They had coffee tables and end tables sitting outside in the parking lot. It was raining pretty hard that day. I remember thinking what a shame it was that the furniture was getting ruined. Now that I think of it, I hope that was the furniture on it's way *OUT* and not in... LOL!

Thanks all for the info. I did check out the link, although, It's who you know....they do not sell to the public. Cast members can bring somone in as a guest, though. And they never know what or when something is coming in. Oh, well...so much for that idea.
