So, we closed the week before last on our Poly resale. I know that it takes a couple of weeks to get the membership number and have been anxiously awaiting the mailman. One thing I'm confused about is I've seen reference to activation codes, membership numbers and club numers. What is the difference between these? And I also believe I saw a reference that one or more of them may come via e-mail as opposed to regular post.

The Membership number is assigned to the overall membership.
Each individual on the membership is assigned a unique Club ID.
The Activation Code is a one time code used in conjunction with the Club ID to setup access to the member website for each individual.
 
I never got the physical mail at all. I got an email with an activation code about a week later, and then called to get everything set up.

2. Then you wait several days for the points to get loaded.....
3. You quickly use all the points you have
4. You get Addonitis.

Ha. Thanks all for your help. Literally moments after I posted this, I got my Welcome Home letter in the mail. It had my membership number. I called and they gave me my Club ID and activation code. My points were already available.

So you are covered on steps 1 and 2. Have you booked your first trip(s) yet? Do you wish you have more points? Maybe points at a different resort, so you could get 11 month booking rights by Epcot, now that you can log in and get your first real glimpse or availability.

We just completed the resale process and had the points post to our account last week. We read about the membership number coming via snail mail, but ours came via email about a week after closing. The activation code came in a separate email the same day. Once we created our account, the points were loaded about 3 working days later. We were very happy that the process went faster than what we had heard to expect.

Thanks for posting this thread and your timetable. It gives we hope maybe we will get ours soon as we closed the Friday of the same week you did. I was under the impression we would get an email with the one time activation code in about a week then the member number in another week or so via snail mail. We are sitting at about 11 days since closing and not a peep from anything. Maybe we’ll get the letter first, too.

We got the email with activation code earlier this week (late Tues after I posted). I called and got the club id so I could set the account up right before all the craziness started (Wednesday). My contract is showing on my account but no points yet. For reference we closed 2/28 and the contract was recorded 3/2
