We only stayed at MK for 15 minutes (a record for us) b/c the Pooh ride was closed. Anybody know what's going on? We were there Mother's Day and it was opened.
Thanks!

It has been down for rehab ..... we were there the day after Mothers Day and several days before and it was closed both times. I did see painters out and about working on the outside. One of the posters on this board has a daughter who actually works at the Pooh ride and she let us know about a month ago that it was going down for rehab.

It will be nice and ready for us in October.

Rehab already? It is one of the newer rides (and is pretty simplistic).

It is one of the newer rides
It's a redo of the old Toad ride, so I wouldn't call the parts making it run "new". The rehab is for installing safety features.

We rode Pooh last June and it broke down twice in one ride!
So I guessed it needed rehab.

I'm all for rehabs and keeping things running well, but whatever happened to the days when all the "behind the scenes" maintenance was done so guests wouldn't have to see it? Just another chip off the magic.:(

I thought that they pretty much "gutted" the toad ride (except for tracks, etc). They did not use the same cars (and "Pooh-ize" them) did they?

I thought that the Pooh ride (maybe in DL) was the one that a child was seriously injured on and that the ride was being refitted with some safety equipment. If that is the case then it wouldn't really matter how old the ride is. And maybe if that is what they are doing they decided to go ahead and do a little maintenance at the same time.
