Duff, who will no doubt shed her good girl image after this naughty role, plays the part of a "slutty" pop star in the John Cusack film, War, Inc.

Cusack handpicked the pretty star for the drama, which satirises war profiteers.

"She played a pop idol from central Asia. So, she was like a Hilary but not Hilary, because Hilary is so classy, but like a real, and I won't name names, but a real slutty pop star. ... Hilary is the opposite of that, of course. I think for her to play that, or to parody that, was really great," Cusack told MTV.

I don't know why I feel I need to defend her - but I just do!!!
I think she has stayed very grounded throughout her youth, and is doing a lot of good things behind the scenes that many people don't know about. I wish her alot of luck in her adult career, and I hope she's as successful as she was in her youth.

Hillary Duff is an adult and the clip is her playing a role in a movie. It doesn't bother me at all, and I wouldn't judge her by that 10 second clip.
I wouldn't let my Lizzy Mcquire loving dd see the grown up Duff in movies, though.
As for the comment about her posing in playboy, thats just ridiculous. There have been many actresses who have done worse things in movies and never landed themselves in playboy. The young woman is an actress, she is not the character she plays in the movies.

I agree. She is an adult. I just hadn't seen her recently since the only thing I see her in is my DD's old movies like Cinderella Story and Lizzie McGuire.

The clip doesn't "bother me" either, it just surprised me that she put a Scorpion down there (and made me say ouch!), but hey, what ever floats your boat. Someone could put a dozen scorpions down there if that's what they like.

As for the Playboy comment, well, who knows. If she does, fine. That wouldn't bother me either. She's got the body for it so why not?

Weird clip/role but I'm sure she picked it to change her image and to appear all grown up. So what?

I still think she's a very beautiful girl, although she looks grown up now. I don't get why some here enjoy tearing down celebrities.

Who's tearing her down? I agree she's beautiful. I still like her alot. It's just like seeing someone you haven't seen in a while and they look different.

Heck, I've done that with friends I haven't seen in awhile! They surprise me when they look different. But I don't think anyone was tearing her down or saying it was bad.

Hillary Duff had gotten some seriously BAD dental work done. She seems to have had some kind of plastic surgery badly done as well.
I know people's looks change as they age, but sheesh...she started NOT resembling herself about 3 or 4 years ago when she had all that dental work done.
She looks freaky-scary to me, like she's going the Priscilla Presley route.

For anyone who wants to see how her looks have changed, do a Google search. I guess she finally had those scary Chiclets fixed. Hollywoodtuna has an interesting set of images and gofugyourself.com, is (as always), hysterical. They have a little article with a 2007 pic titled..."When did Hilary turn into Beyonce?"

I do think she looked very scary when she had her teeth done, and when she lost all that weight. To me her "improved" teeth were poorly-done and they did look like Chiclets. Around the same time she looked like she had some plastic surgery, especially perhaps her eyes & cheekbones. *Within a short amount of time* I didn't recognize her the next time I saw her on TV, the same way that I can hardly recognize Priscilla Presley anymore, the same way that I *really* didn't recognize Kenny Rodgers when he was on AI last season.
I'm glad she got her teeth fixed again to finally look more natural, I am really glad she gained back some weight (I think she's now up to somewhere over 100 lbs?)

Just my take on the thread's general topic of "what happened to 'Lizzie McGuire'?"

And yes, she's an adult and can do whatever she darn well pleases. It certainly won't probably kill her career if she poses for whatever magazine she likes and if a role is offered she can take it if she wants to.
