I had a cabin on a 3-day hold which expired last night. I looked again today and the sailing is no longer visible. Is it just me?
It’s not only you, and the 11/8 for 5-nights also appears to be missing.I had a cabin on a 3-day hold which expired last night. I looked again today and the sailing is no longer visible. Is it just me?
I did a search with just one passenger and it still wasn’t showing up.Not sure about the size of your travel party but in the past when this has happened to me (we cruise with a party of 5) the cruise wasn't showing up because there were no staterooms on that sailing that would accommodate 5, but if I reduced my sailing party to four, the cruise showed up again. Not sure if that's relevant to your situation but if it is, booking two staterooms could be a solution?
TCM?Could be removed for multiple reasons, including being chartered. I couldn't find an itinerary for the Magic between 10/8-13/2025 on the DCL website either. I doubt its the DVC member cruises, those are 1/4/2024 & 8/2/2025. Wondering if any of the missing itineraries are the 2025 TCM charter cruise.
Turner Classic MovieTCM?
This year, it’s on Disney Magic, Oct 26-31.That's what I initially thought, but I had no idea they chartered a DCL sailing. They seem more like a Holland America Line crowd!
I made the Holland remark with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek. And the crowd will take their vibe with them whichever line they charter. Put them in Carnival, even.
Heard. And interesting. As just a cruiser, I always thought it was more a reflection of guests - and a self-fulfilling prophecy of stereotype.I made the Holland remark with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek.
However, I'm not sure I agree. Each cruise line has their own vibe, which tends to be why they attract the guests they do. Some people are flexible enough to enjoy cruises across multiple brands, but I'd say the average Holland cruiser would be tired of DCL pretty immediately.
I say this as someone who worked for HAL, cruises exclusively on Disney and has no animosity to either brand whatsoever.
I realiE you’re trying to be numerous but I’d like to point out that the “vibe” of a particular cruise is determined by multiple factors, not the brand by itself. For example, here in Los Angeles Carnival has been running a 3-night weekend/ 4-night M-F cruise since the 1970s. For obvious reasons, historically the 3n cruise has attracted a party crowds whereas the 4n is typically a retirement age crowd. The 7n cruise draws a diverse crowd, but Carnival is the value leader so you do get those types. My point is…. Many Carnival passengers would be attracted to the TCM cruise but they’re not going to be the party crowd .Heard. And interesting. So, could a Disney cruise full of normally-Carnival cruisers calm them down?
Going full circle - it is the people themselves, picking the cruise, that might determine the overall vibe?I realiE you’re trying to be numerous but I’d like to point out that the “vibe” of a particular cruise is determined by multiple factors, not the brand by itself. If you want a definite answer, call DCL and inquire about that sailing.I had a cabin on a 3-day hold which expired last night. I looked again today and the sailing is no longer visible. Is it just me?
