What gets me most is the hypocrites on this board

Why? Are you eating 2 meals that close together or you just don't know where you want to eat? Doesn't really matter to me, just being nosy. ;)

I also held ADRs simulatneously, but I believe it had to be done over the phone (at least for us). Our reason was I could only get a BOG reservation for 4 people - there were 9 of us. Since I had to leave DHS early to meet my parents at SOG (they were coming from the airport and needed a sponsor to meet them at the hotel), we went off to BOG with them while DH's family stayed later at DHS and had dinner there. BOG was at 4:30, they had Sci Fi for 4:00pm (but both ADRs were under my profile, as I'm the only one with a MDE profile)

I haven't decided. They are both before mnsshp one is in the park and the other is at a monorail resort which means we could valet park there.

I'd just like to say I am heading to the world this Monday and won't be able to comment on what fp+, magic and etc are going to be like til I get there and use them. I will say this as far as double and triple dipping:

There really is no such thing as double dipping. You are given a magic band and a kttw card to use. I almost always use more than 3 fastpasses a day and would never sign up if that's all I got. The kttw will get me the remaining fastpasses I would normally get. I think it's done this way so you can sign up early for your favorite rides and them get the rest of the fastpasses as you go along. To me the term double dipping shouldn't even be used anymore.

Now triple dipping on the other hand (which I would really consider double dipping) is definitely scamming the system. Whoever thinks that bringing an old ticket from a previous trip and using that to get fastpasses is ok, is just telling themselves that to feel better. You are 100% cheating the system. Why should someone wait in standby line for space mountain for an hour, while someone else rides 3 times because they kept getting fastpasses with used tickets from last year and the year before that. They both paid to get in the park and that's just not fair.

It's not really about what I want, I just think it would be smart business for WDW. I think they will somehow manipulate FP+ to help fill their resorts. They would be silly not too. What exactly they do with it we'll see I guess.
I should have stated generic "you" instead of you "you" ;) since that's what I really meant. Manipulation is fine and expected but a cold cutting off a lot of people is what I take exception with.

I don't know if someone can answer this question.

We are AP holders (since 2006) and our renewal is 11/2013. We won't pick up our passes until May 2014. How can we make FP+ reservations without having the AP in our possesion? It's my understanding that we are able to make a certain amount of FP+ reservations with an AP.

I am not interested in the whole MagicBand, FP+ system but it may be the only way we can get on certain rides. My DH and I usually decide what park we are going to visit at breakfast each morning. I already plan some ADRs and don't want to plan each and every day of my vacation. Vacation is supposed to be relaxing not stressful.

With regard to the ADRs, what happens if you become sick less than 24 hrs before your ADR? Will you still be charged a fee if you cancel?

We have always been big WDW fans (I am a past Magic Kingdom Club Director for my company). Right now I do not like some of the new policies they are implementing. If I'm not happy with how this whole MagicBand, FP+ system plays out, we will most likely use our DVC points for locations other than WDW.
You might want to post your questions in their own thread since it looks like you might be buried here. I do agree with your comments about stress.

It's not backwards, it's supply and demand 101 from high school.
Disney would be wiser to get as many in the parks as they can so that they can take as much money from these people as they can. Limiting it all to just a select few seems counterproductive.

Right now I have a 4:30pm and a 5:15pm ADR, same day.

I also managed to get 3 ADR's for Oct 27th all within a 2hr period. I've no idea why the system let me book them all close together, and I didn't actually notice until I was looking through our reservations and cancelled the two I didn't need.

The more I think about it, the more I think I'd like to see all kinds of FP's go away. Go back to one line and it'll move faster. And do more to promote the C- and D-ticket rides.

IMO....For most kids,-(and adults), the C and D rides just aren't very appealing...no matter how short the lines. Of course, few have seen 150 minute waits for a ride on a "Level 2" crowd day before...(Soarin' today at 2:00...according to UTs wait times...)...OR all FPs gone by mid morning on same "Level 2 day" for the big ticket rides. I have talked to a few folks who were in the parks over the past few days and they've said the crowds were big...but not "Christmas" big. Who's "getting" these FPs? :rolleyes1

That's the problem. No one is getting them. Some rides don't have enough FP capacity as is. It just is what it is. But others like TT and Soarin have the ratios out of whack for FP+/FP so while they are available all day for FP+ they run out early for paper FP.

TSM is the one ride that simply doesn't have the capacity for everyone who is FP+ eligible to get a FP+ and even less left over available for paper FP. This ride also doesn't run at full capacity as every time we ride it there are empty cars going through. They need some training on how to fill every car and how to utilize the single rider line properly. They should keep it filled at all times so there is never an empty car going out. The lines here are way too long for that type of inefficiency.

I just got back from Disney and have to say that fast pass plus sucks. We opened the parks every day and attempted to get fast passes for many of the rides and times were always late afternoon. It is obvious by the crowd level that there was not enough people in the parks to support that time period for fast passes. It is obvious people are applying for fast pass plus and not showing up to use them so people who are in the parks get penalized. Keep the old system it worked fine you should be in the park to get a fast pass.

Single rider line at TSM....didn't know that. I know TT has one too. Which others? Going with a friend, but I don't really care who I sit next to on rides. Just wanna get a few in.

EE and RNRC also have one. TSM's single rider line doesn't start until the stairs. If it is just 1 or 2 in your party then let the CM know and they should send you up the right side of the staircase. They don't sit ppl next to strangers on that ride so they need 1 or 2 ppl to fill the empty side of the cars.

Thanks much for the info!

How is that obvious? Perhaps many Fastpasses were reserved on the FP+ system and people were at another park or at their resort?

My only hope is that Disney considers to let the old FP system as it is to the AP holders and the off site quests (aka Me).

We live in The Netherlands (Europe) so our only way to get to WDW is to fly. That will cost us close to $ 2800 for 2 adults and one 3 year old and a 1 year old just to get near WDW.
Because I work as a teacher I'm stuck on the vacations (peak periods) who are also more expensive than in other periods.
This is the reason we always stay off site.
I read a lot of comments about "if you're not planning than it sucks for you". I can insure you I'm a planner. I do not plan my whole vacation. But I look up which park is best on a certain day and I plan my ADR's 180 prior to our vacation. But this has nothing to do with if you plan your vacation or not. If you stay off site you're out of luck.
I know which comments I certainly gonna get. "Than you have to stay On-site".
But some people just CAN'T afford that. Not if you pay just nearly $3000 to fly to the US.
What Disney now does is take away one of the less privileges that we off site guests have. And to let you know I'm fine with it if Resorts Guest get more privileges. You pay for it. But don't take away something that works for the off site people and make it only useful for those who can afford to stay on site.

Having to know (or NOT having to know) what happens with the old FP system makes me a bit nervous. I can't take advantage of FP+ but nor I'm sure if I can use FP's on my next trip. And the prospect to stand in a long line with two young children and not have the opportunity to use some FP's makes me not very happy.

Anyway... I think I just found the ONE think that's better in Disney World Paris than in WDW! :rotfl:
Most of all WDW and DL are way better than DLRP! :thumbsup2

I just want to make sure you know that FP+ WILL be rolled out to offsite guests - we just don't know when that will be. Disney has officially stated that FP+ is a perk of theme park admission, *not* staying on-site. It's currently an "on-site perk" because they are testing it. Once they roll it out fully, all guests with valid theme park admission will have access to FP+.

We still don't know what kind of window off site guests will have to prebook (I imagine onsite will have at least +10 like they do for ADRs), but we will get it eventually.

My bet is this will be the difference between onsite and offsite. Which may not matter much except during very busy weeks, we will see I guess.

WDW would be stupid not to make it different. They want to fill their resorts first.
