I keep reading that CP is one of the better buffets/restuarants to dine at, and I just looked at the lunch and dinner menus. The food sounds really good, but I'm wondering how it tastes. Even though they're very similar, the lunch list looks even better than the dinner list to me for some reason. So I'm asking, why do you like Crystal Palace so much? What are some of the best things on the menu?

Their fire-roasted spoon bread is to die for!! Their primerib was really good too, but I think they took that off the buffet :confused3

I love the cold salads, the pasta salad, the warm cheesy seafood/pasta dish they have, and the coconut flan for dessert is wonderful! My husband enjoys the pork, flank steak (when they have it) and their chocolate chip cookies.

I don't remember specifics about our lunch there last year but just remember the food was excellent and we're going back for lunch on our next trip this June.

I know that the desserts were delicious and we had lots of character interaction.

Dinner is good, but we like CP breakfast the best! The Pooh Puffed Toast is awesome as is the breakfast pizza. We never go a trip without a breakfast there!

I agree with the other posts -- the spoon bread is excellent, as are the variety of cold salads. Really, I can't think of anything I've tried there that wasn't pretty decent, and there are many dishes that are great. CP is definitely my favorite CM buffet.

And I also agree about the coconut flan... a great end to the meal!

I really liked all the cold salads and pasta salads, fresh fruit, salmon...and lots more I can't remember now. My mother really enjoyed the spoonbread although it wasn't my thing. Loved the carrot cake, some type of red velvet cake? and the self serve ice cream. Overall, I find the food there to be very good quality for a buffet and there is definitely something for all palates. :thumbsup2

Really good edamame cold salad. Salmon is excellent. I cannot remember all of the dishes, but we have eaten here 3 times and been very happy with the food. We now consider CP to be a "must" on our MK day.

We miss the prime rib, but the salmon is very good.

And really, most *everything* on the dinner buffet is very tasty. They do an amazing job there keeping everything freshly stocked and hot and cold.

The best value in MK, I'd say....

We loved the mediterranian chicken so much we found the recipie and make it at home. I loved the terimissu (sp?).

Thanks for the info everyone! Ok, so we're definately keeping this one on the list.:thumbsup2

I agree, the spoon bread does sound interesting, but what is it? I'm guessing something savory, not sweet?

The cold and pasta salads just sound so good in and of themselves, that I hope I don't fill up on just salads before I try anything else!

This is such a great buffet. Everything was spectacular and so tasty. The spoonbread was so TASTY!

The desserts were awesome too!

We loved everything at CP! We went for breakfast and dinner and although we weren't expecting anything fantastic for breakfast, I think we liked it better then dinner and we'll be going back in Sept.

The spoon bread is a cornbread. Kernels of fire roasted corn, a bit of (Ithink) jalepeno for spice. You scoop it onto your plate, has a stuffing like consistency. Sooooo good.

CP lunch buffet is our family's all-time favorite dining at WDW. I love all of the cold salads (they're so good on a hot day), the salmon, and their rice. The atmosphere is awesome and the service is always very good. We definitely give it a :thumbsup2!

Somehow, I have missed trying the coconut flan. It sounds like something I'll have to try this summer.

Thanks for explaining what spoon bread is. I think I had something like that at a mexican restuarant I went to, but it was sweet, not savory. Like a soft cornbread with corn kernels and honey? maybe. Anyway, this sounds good. I'll definately try some.

Breakfast buffet is our favorite; yesterday had a made to order ham & cheese omelet and a few slices of Piglet.
