I was talking to some friends tonight about how deprived I am, because they were naming some of their favorite movies that they think everyone should have seen, and I've never seen most of them. :o

So, what are some movies that you think everyone else on the planet has seen except you?

Some big ones on my list are:
The Matrix trilogy
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Back to the Future trilogy
all but one James Bond movie (the only one I've seen is Die Another Day)
Casablanca
When Harry Met Sally
all of the Rocky movies
The Godfather trilogy
Gone With the Wind
Pretty Woman

...and those are just the ones I thought of in about 10 seconds...that's just the tip of the iceberg!

The Patriot, Pearl Harbor, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, many more. I see tons of movies, but won't go see something I know I won't like just because it has tons of hype.

Lots, too numerous to mention, especially the stuff that's come out in the last 10-15 years. I'm' not much of a movie-goer any more.

The first one that always comes to mind, that horrifies people, is It's a Wonderful Life.

But I have seen most of the ones on nsyncraider17's list (except the Matrix and the Bond movies). I've seen GWTW too many times to count.

Way too many to count. After the kids were born we have not gone to see many of them because it is 50.00 a shot to go see them at the movies. Then renting requires me having to attemp to return them on time and not pay late fees.............not gonna happen. I am the queen of the late fee.

Its so sad...I cant think of any...But thats me i guess...Mr. Movie Buff!

Ive seen way to many movies for my own good.

It's a Wonderful Life really ain't that great, you're not missing much. Same with Casablanca. I sat through that for the first time a while back, just because it was supposed to be so great and I thought it was no better than average, with a boring storyline.

The one biggie I've never seen is Titanic, just never fancied it. I'm guessing that in the Hollywood version of the story, Mel Gibson heroically attaches explosives to the iceberg, so saving the ship from disaster, right?

Too many to even try to name

I have never seen most disaster movies, special effects movies, s/f movies. I don't like loud movies so that leaves out most of the big blockbuster types.

Casablanca is one of the few classic movies I've seen. Some of the ones I haven't seen but would like to one day include Citizen Kane, High Noon, The Magnificent Seven, most of the Sean Connery James Bond movies, the first Rocky, and a couple of Marx Brothers movies I still haven't taken the time to watch.

I hardly ever go to the movies. I have never seen any of the Matrix, Lord Of The Rings...no Harry Potter either. Mainly because those films don't interest me at all. I have never seen the Godfather movies. I've only seen Rocky 2...again they hold no interest to me.

I do rent movies, but usually don't watch them...the girls do. I did just watch 50 First Dates. I thought it was cute, funny in parts, sad in parts. I refer to this type of movie as a safe 1st date movie.

The only ones that come to mind are:

LOTR:The Two Towers
LOTR:Return of the King
Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ

I'm guessing that in the Hollywood version of the story, Mel Gibson heroically attaches explosives to the iceberg, so saving the ship from disaster, right?

I only wish. Then it would've been tolerable to me. I hate that movie.

I am the one and only person in the entire world (including certain undeveloped parts of the Australian Outback) who has not seen "Titanic". I bought the tape the day it came out on video, and I STILL haven't seen it...

All of the LOTR movies and the Passion of the Christ are two I can think of now.

Still haven't and won't see Gone With the Wind.... :rolleyes;

Tons! I tend to stay away from really popular movies for some reason. The ones that come to mind are:

It's a Wonderful Life
Star Wars, Episode 2
The Matrix Trilogy
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (either version)
The Godfather (trilogy? There were 3, right?)
The Cat in the Hat (heard it was horrible, so I don't need to see it)
The Passion of the Christ

There are more, but I can't think of them at the moment.
:p

I haven't see The Passion of the Christ and probably never will. No desire to see it.

I have never seen any of the Star Wars movies, again, I have no desire.

I have never seen Titantic either. Or A Perfect Storm, Braveheart, Citizen Kane, Godfather movies, The Patriot, many Alfred Hitchcock classics....

My DH is the movie buff in the family...he must have a million DVD's. I never see them though, because he works nights so he watches them during the day when I'm working or late at night after I have gone to bed...I don't have time in the evening to watch TV...too much to do around the house!
