What exactly is Enchanted Tales with Belle?

Is it a show or ride? Would it hold the attention of active toddler boys?

Show -- I'm not sure if it would hold toddlers captive, but I find it interesting every time I go. They take kids from the audience and have them be parts in the show, and everyone gets a picture with Belle at the end. I think the Lumiere AA is one of the best. Also, if you're an adult male, expect a good chance that you get picked to be a guard in the show.

To be fair, it's a fairly short show.

It really is neither! Well, maybe you could say a show?? It is an interactive experience. We only did this once a few years back and that was enough for us. I have 2 girls and a boy. At the time my son was about to turn 4. He didn't seem to not enjoy it. The Cast Members take you through room by room telling parts of the story. Then they choose children to act out part of the story. At the end you see Belle, meet her, get a hug, and pic if you were chosen to act out a part. They may enjoy it. If they don't like princess, listening, etc. they may not

It is not a ride. It is basically an opportunity to have a quick photo with Belle after the audience participates in putting on a play for her. Depending on the age of your toddlers, they may really enjoy having a role in the play (such as being a salt shaker by holding up a cut out of one), but if they are very young or shy, it may be more I something to sit through and watch. The attraction is cute and is worth doing once, but is probably most enjoyable to kids who would enjoy participating in the play.

it's a meet and greet on steroids
the interaction with Belle is unique and parents sit and watch, not to be missed but is not worth a long line.
It's the only place you will get to see real Luminaire and the Talking wardrobe

And, as I have personally experienced, even if you're a completely wasted adult male with equal parts beer reek and body odor stench coming off of you in visible waves like Pigpen. No one is too lowly to guard the benevolent Belle.

You can watch the whole thing on YouTube if you want to actually see it. My 4 year old boy asks for the video of it daily, so I'm sure it will hold his attention when he finally gets to see it in person!

Toddlers I would say no unless they are low key and in to storytelling.

We were two adults with no littles in tow and went for the effects. Neither of us had a role but found it to be well done and kind of "enchanting" in an old style Disney magical way. The Lumierre and Wardrobe effects anamatronics were great as was the mirror effect. It was, for a couple of grownups, a one time deal but worth one time.

Definitely worth doing for the wonderful AAs, and toddlers should enjoy the show, and a chance to be part of it.

If your toddlers do well at library story time I think they would do well during enchanted tales. If they are in the run-around-in-circles-in-the-back-of-the-room-while-the-librarian-reads phase I would skip it.

We did it once just to see what it was. It's a play using people from the audience. The cue getting in was pretty neat and the AA's were good. Don't need to do it again though.

This! An excellent way to decide if your kid would be into it.

My LO is kind of shy in new situations, but had a great time being "Mrs. Potts" holding up a cardboard cutout of the character - no speaking required. The cast members are great with the kids and coach them through their roles, if they are chosen to participate (everyone who wanted to participate got to when we went) and all the kids did a little parade around the room following Belle at the end. The effects were really neat, and it was fun for my LO to get spend a little time in the presence of a Princess. Not worth a huge wait, but worth a fastpass for us. A nice, low key, relaxing activity for the whole family.

My adult daughter and I also went during one of the last shows of the evening to see the wonderful effects. There were more adults than children here at this time, so several adults were "drafted" for roles when shy kids didn't want to participate. I think my 4 year old grandson would love it because he likes the Beauty and the Beast movie, and it does move so fast. So for the OP, if your young ones are familiar with the movie I believe they will like this-you will be very close to the action.

It is probably the most "magical" and intimate attraction next to meet and greets there is. Frankly I think they should do more of them. I found it very unique.

I would call it an "interactive play" (where the audience plays the parts) and any child who wants a different type of meet and greet with Belle should definitely give it a try.

My son (3 at the time) was too scared/shy to take part, but did have the courage to go up and give Belle a hug and get a prize. The look on his face was pure fascination. He enjoyed watching the show too as his cousins and uncle were in the play.

I agree that the special effects and AAs are fantastic, and worth a visit just for that. I love this show and have gone several times - even without kids. It's very charming. Very active toddlers with short attention spans may not be the best audience, though. But kids that love story time and want to participate in the play would love it.

My 5 year old and 2 year old sons both loved it. The oldest was beast and the youngest was a salt shaker I believe. My husband was a guard. Even though the youngest was a little young to fully understand, he thought it was fun and one of the CM's helped him play his part.
