What exactly does Pending Mean?

Just got an email that I am pending. Curious if this means an automatic no?
I kind of applied on a whim, and really only wanted a few specific areas so that probably doesn't help.

Pending is basically like getting put on the wait list for school. It means they haven't forgotten you, but aren't necessarily accepting you yet. A lot of people get accepted after being put into pending. And a lot of people get denied. If I were you, I wouldn't worry about it. You could still get in, so you can maintain excitement just in case! :)

Keep on checking! It can still happen! I got a pending email on a Friday and one week later was accepted!

My daughter has been pended since Jan for DLR, they have until April 25 for a final decision.

I just got pended today too. So basically would you guys say it's about 50-50 shot at this point?

Our daughter just received word yesterday that she is "pending". Does anyone have any tips to help nudge them along besides just waiting?

Thanks!

Theres an awesome group on Facebook full of pending people. It's basically like a support system and we've all gotten to be pretty good friends on there as well. We encourage each other to not give up and let each other complain if that need arises, and if someone gets accepted, we are excited for them, or if they get rejected after being pended for so long, we are sad. It's so great and your daughter should join us! The link is here

yeah, I started to turn to that group A.S.A.P lol, but I didn't want to get on FB and see everyone getting accepted and sharing awesome pics and memories only to be rejected. I figured that would make the rejection that much more difficult if it comes

Unfortunately, no. She's welcome to call past the deadline they stated they would let her know by, and she should also call if she has any new experience that could affect her getting into the program. Other than that, it's best to wait.

I called to add roles when I was pended (I only agreed to do one, changed it to three after I was pended, but ended up getting the one I originally had wanted). When I spoke to them to add the roles, I mentioned an internship I was doing based out of NYC, which the woman I spoke to seemed impressed by. However, since Disney has so many applicants and gets a bunch of calls a day, it would be unwise of her to call and try and pressure them or convince them that she deserves the internship.

Patience is the best thing for her to have right now, Disney generally does not appreciate people calling unless they need to/have been told to. They will let her know soon enough! What roles did she apply for?

Not getting in seems like the worst thing in the world and in camprison to living and working at Disney it kind of is. But I got rejected once and I plan on applying again really soon! I REALLY hope you get in as I would never wish a rejection on anyone but trust me if it happens and you love Disney you'll apply the next time and still be super excited like you were never rejected in the first place!:wizard:

Thanks for the heads up on the FB group. Our daughter joined and has had lots of good information and support! We are keeping our fingers crossed!!!!

She applied for pretty much everything except food service and lifeguard. Her first choice was BBB but had merchandising after that. Thanks for the info!

I'm sorry about your son, cutincatee.Has anyone who has been pending for a while gotten an acceptance within the last week?My daughter is still pending as of today and we're both feeling nervous and a little discouraged.Good luck to all.

I was pended in February and was just accepted two days ago! There is hope!

Just means you are put on hold. This could be because there is limited spots. If people who got accepted decides to decline, your pending could change to accepted. Best of luck!
