We really liked the boat at WL. They run on the 1/2 hour from the Lodge, so you can schedule to arrive just before one departs and not have to wait. Maybe you caught it on a day it was running behind.
I would have liked your casual stroll down Main Street too, but at least you got to ride "something" that morning.
I love the image of Caitlin trying to stay syrup-free for the princesses.
Sometimes that growing up thing is really difficult. Here's some pixie dust that you get another little one soon - and that the next one loves all things Disney!
I liked the boat ride once we got on the boat. I just hated waiting on the docks. I had planned to be at the dock for 8:30 but we ended up getting there early since DH had planned to grab something at RF. If we went with my plan we probably would not have waited long at all. The boat ride is much better than parking at the TTC and having to the the ferry though. I just thought the buses were much faster.
Caitlin is usually a mess when she eats. It was pretty adorable that she didn't want to meet any princesses with a drop of syrup on her. Too cute.
I really hope if we get to have another child they like all things Disney. If not I might just have to find a friendly Universal board to hang out on, b/c I will give up at that point.
I can't believe you went to the gym on vacation! I always want to take a walk in the morning before Brandon gets up and I can't even accomplish that!
CRT looks nice, but the food doesn't look that great. I really want to eat in the castle someday, even if the food isn't good. Maybe when we go on our trip with Caitlin I can drag her there with me.
I really wish it would hurry up and be September 30. All those WL pictures are making me want to be there now!
If I was to go back to CRT I would go for dinner, especially if it is just that two of you. The menu seems a bit better and the food wasn't too bad.
WL wasn't even my favorite and looking back at the pictures I wish I was there right now.
AH yes, they grow WAY too quick!!! 1 is a good age to take kids. We've been taking Tyler to theme parks since he was about 1, and he goes pretty good. Doesn't complain too much, all that stuff. He's not much into the characters, but that's ok with me. He has his favorites like everyone else. He LOVES innoventions in Epcot. Go figure!!
Love the MK update, I have never eaten in the castle, but after seeing the menus, I'm not sure I wanna. THe food seems too fru-fru for my taste! The boat rides I always thought were peaceful, we stay at FW most of the time and take the boat whenever we can. It's sooo nice, especially first thing in the morning. Just awesome!
I really hope we are able to have more kids. It looks a bit terrifying bringing toddlers to the park, but so rewarding at the same time. Plus by the time we go back Caitlin will be old enough to help out and entertain them.
I'm all done with the castle. 2 times is enough for me. I really wish I had stuck with CP for breakfast since I loved it so much last time.
The Wilderness Lodge is really pretty, especially at night.

Looks a lot like it does here, those Imagineers really got it right.
I know you had a good time, but I can't help but feel kind of sad for you.

Caitlyn is already over the princesses? I know at some point it will get better because you all look happy at Discovery Cove, I just wish that your traveling companions looked a little happier, or at the very least shared your excitement.
The Lodge is very pretty at night. We spent one night hanging out at the pool and hot tub, and when you sit in the hot tub you can face the main building. It was a very nice, peaceful view.
Outside of being at WDW Caitlin doesn't have anything to do with princesses. Doesn't watch the movies, play with the toys, nothing. I was very surprised she wanted to go to CRT, but she insisted. She did seem to love having her picture taken with them. While we were waiting for Akershus later in the trip she asked for a princess dress, but since it was almost time to go home I didn't get her one. I can't figure her out sometimes. I don't think she knows what she likes sometimes.
You got some really great pictures of the WL. That picture of the path to the boat is especially great. Your inside of the castle pictures are really neat, too.
I don't know why kids can be excited about things at home that they seemed to show little interest in while you were actually there. Max did the same thing. While he didn't act like he was unahappy, he just often looked disinterested. Maybe he was just overwhelmed?

Though Caitlin had seen everything before, so what do I know?
Caitilin drives me crazy. She has been asking me constantly when are we going back? I told her before this trip we probably wouldn't be back until she was 9, possible 10. Yesterday she asked me why we never went to the Flower show at Epcot (I had told her about the flower and garden festival before we left). I asked her many times in Epcot if she wanted to any F & G things and she said no.
We took her in her stroller last year, so I wonder if the walking around to get everywhere factored in. We were good about taking breaks and I told her I would rent her a stroller if she really needed it. There were a few times I asked if she wanted to do something and she would say no if it wasn't close to us. I tried to minimize the walking by going land to land instead of going across the parks and back, but sometimes you can't help it. Next time I'll have to start her walking more at home. I tried a bit this year but she never wanted to go for walks. I think she felt to old to use a stroller so there wasn't much we could do.
Too bad she wasn't so into the princesses or her breakfast this time around. Those were some awfully expensive french toast sticks! I think I'd want to ride SM for breakfast. LOL!!!
Expensive, not very good french toast sticks.
I am glad we ended up riding SM before breakfast instead of right after. SM is not a ride to go on right after eating
