It was very sweet of him to split it with me

I always feel like DH comes off as a bad guy on here, when it all others aspects of our lives we usually agree on most things. He just isn't into Disney. I can't say I understand it, but I am going to have to work on accepting it and alternating his vacation wants once in awhile.
oh my goodness I cannot believe your DH ate that hot dog right before you were going to CP - that would've drove me crazy!!! Did he eat anything at CP?
How did I not go into the Main St. Confectionery this time. We ended up using snack credits at Main St. Bakery twice, I can't believe I forgot about the Confectionery, it looked better than what we got at the bakery!
Yay for winning $500, is your half going towards your solo Disney trip?

He insisted he would be able to eat once we got to dinner. I think he had a small piece of pizza, a few bites of some chicken tenders and a tiny bowl of ice cream. His plate looked exactly like Caitlin's but with less food.
I had a hard time finding the confectionery. I thought I knew what I was looking for but they are working on it so it was completely covered in those remodel coverings they use. I had given up, but once we sat down directly across it I found it
Unfortunately I just had a car repair bill for about $700 so the money will probably go towards that. But that is $250 that doesn't have to come out of the savings account, so in the end it all works out that he is giving me money for Disney. (Just don't tell him that

)
MK day sounds good. Glad you got them to go on Snow White. I made my group go on it too, once they knew it was closing, they were fine. It is hard to walk around all day, I'm one to know that for a fact!! you need a girls' day or something next time, so you can do what YOU want to do!! I actually did that with Tyler the other day, he's been "disney'd out" and I've been bored at home, so I told him if we went, we would do what HE wanted to do, and we were standing around, so he could think of what he wanted to do next. I told him that it's not that easy figuring out a plan of attack is it? he always says I plan too much on our bigger staying over there trips LOL Now he sees WHY I do it!!!!
I can't wait to read more!!!!
I hate the standing around, wondering what to do. Especially since I usually have a plan that has exactly what we would do and in what order for the rest of the day, but I really wanted to let Caitlin and DH decide on some things.
I am pretty bored right now, I wish I could just pop over to Disney.
We hardly ever go to the movies - it's just so expensive. I love having Netflix though to watch movies at home.
I CAN NOT wait for Harry Potter. Grammy will definitely be babysitting Reid in July so Ed & I can go to the movies for that one!!!
ETA: Yay on DH's casino winnings & sharing with you!
We usually don't go to the movies much either, especially since now we usually take Caitlin along and she is not able to sit through a movie without popcorn and a drink which bumps up the bill. We tend to go a bit more over the summer since so many good movies always come out but I am going to try to cut back this year. I have picked my two and anything they want to see is on them.
Caitlin insisted on coming in Nov. to see HP with us and whined from about 20 minutes in. She wants to come to see the new one too. It does look a lot more interesting, but I am going to be pretty annoyed if she ruins the last HP movie
I know people like this as well and I don't understand it. The point of a buffet, IMO, is not to get 5 plates of food (although a lot of people do this and waddle away!) but it is to try smaller portions of a wide array of options. DW and I ate at CP on our trip after Thanksgiving last year and really enjoyed all the different choices.
Was the first pic in this TR with the dolphins during this trip? We plan on going to Discovery Cove next May during our family trip. Enjoying your TR. Keep it coming.
I love buffets b/c I usually get to try stuff I don't at home. You can just imagine after seeing DH's and DD's dining habits how boring our dinners are at home. I have a list of about 5 dinner meals they will eat, anything else I have to make myself something different for the night.
I admit it.... although I don't stuff myself at the buffets I might have waddled away from 'Ohana
Yep, we went to Discovery Cove this year. I am going to finish up Monday night today and our Discovery Cove day was Wed. Shouldn't be too much longer.
Discovery Cove is amazing.

Your family will love it!
Your day at MK sounds like it was really fun. I've never been on Splash Mountain, if you can believe it. It wasn't there when I was a kid and the first time, when it was just DH and I, it was too cold to risk getting soaked. This past year...well..I was never there at a good time when it seemed like getting that wet was a good idea. Oh, and the drop terrifies me!

But I love BTMR!

I can't believe you haven't been on Splash Mountain. I didn't get too wet. The worst was that you sit down in the seats that are all wet so your behind gets wet. I was towards the front, and the people in the back got it much worse. You must ride it in July.
I have never been on Kali rapids in AK for the same reason. I swore this year we would make it. I even had fastpasses. Then, I saw that every single person coming off was completely soaked. Even with the hot temperatures I didn't want to walk around like that.
I am here...better late than never! I will catch up soon!!!
Glad your back.

I can't wait to hear all about your trip. You always seem to hit the places and things I mean to do, but don't.
What a fun day...well...except maybe the hot dog before dinner...tisk tsk! Ha!
We love CP! We haven't been for dinner yet....
My husband doesn't like buffets either. We don't normally eat at them at home, but Disney buffets are WAY different...fresh and always changing things out and adding fresh items.
Every once in awhile I will take Caitlin out to the local buffet with my mom and aunt. DH came once since I think it was a bday or something, and he was just miserable. I have banned him from coming ever again.
I can't wait to go back to CP for breakfast. Nothing is better than the puffed french toast. I don't know what I was thinking going to CRT instead.:confused

When will these families learn? Let the DISers make the call!
I love that you convinced everyone to do Snow White and Haunted Mansion. My girls see the words "Scary" and "Haunted" and run far away!
I don't think I have ever been inside the confectionary. Something to add to my list for next time.
Your food at CP looked yummy. What a great variety of desserts! I *may* only eat one plate of food at home, but in a restaurant I might have an appetizer, a salad, an entree, and a dessert. Like you, I don't like my food getting all mixed together. So, yeah! I need 3 trips to the buffet (salad, entree, dessert).
I rarely made anyone do anything on this trip, but insisted we do Snow White and Haunted Mansion. I actually think Caitlin enjoyed HM. How could you not?
I don't know why DH questions things I say while at Disney. If he could just accept I know more about it than him and do what I say he would probably have a much better time.
CP was yummy. I wish I tried more, but there is always next time. I was so happy the food was hot and fresh. We went to Chef Mickey's for dinner and DH and DD ate pretty much nothing. All the items on the kids table like pizza and mac/cheese were cold and gross. I had some meat from the carving station and potatoes which were fine, but they weren't very happy. That is where we also had the cold Mickey ravioli. It was probably good hot but who knows.
I'm with you buffets are for sampling. Second plates are a must because I always try things that don't like on the first plate.
I can't wait for the Pooh movie either! Pooh is my ds's favorite character and it will be his first trip to the theater!
Aw, what a perfect 1st movie
I just love Winnie the Pooh and I am so happy Caitlin actually wants to see it.
Everytime she sees a commercial she calls me in the room. I can't wait, it looks very cute.
Laughing at DH for the hotdog! We had a few buffets adn all you can eats and we did not do the damage I planned. We werent even eating lunch and still, it was a shame. Even the dessert

scared1:
WTH- that said party with the scared emotion guy, what happend lol?
I thought I would eat much more, but once you are there and you are hot or tired eating a bunch of food just doesn't appeal anymore.
I see party now.

I hope the dessert party is still around next time we go. I really want to try it. I am sure DH will manage to eat a very large meal right before and not touch anything, but he said he would still like to do it so we don't have to sit around waiting for the fireworks.
CP for breakfast is the only character meal we have ever gone to. The food was really good, but it was worth it just to see my son interact with the characters. I warned my family ahead of time that I wasn't going to rush because the meal was for my son to have fun and they didn't say a word about rushing. I want to go back there again.
I'm glad that you stayed around for your ADR. Your daughter looks like she enjoyed her character time as well.
I am very glad we stayed too. I really wanted to try CP for dinner and I knew this could be the last time we do the dxdp. No way I would pay almost $100 for what DH and DD ate. The food was pretty good and Caitlin seemed to enjoy seeing the characters. I don't care what anyone says next trip we are going back to CP for breakfast. I don't care if Caitlin is 15 and refuses to eat with characters. CP will be my 1 meal I insists on going to.
