What else to say to the characters???

We told Snow White we had an apple for her...she asked if it was red or green and I told her it was red. She said "Oh, no...I don't eat the red ones any more, only the green ones. You know...there was a bit of a problem with a red one..."

One day at DHS we walked into the Animation Courtyard right before the very first animation class. It was low season and the place was deserted. Also it was a group of only 3 adults, DH, our friend, and I.

That day I was wearing my stitch ears, who could ever be in there at that hour?
Mickey, Minnie and Stitch, all alone with their handlers!

Stitch saw me and the handler told him: "OMG Stitch! Look! It is definitely one of your cousins! Look at her ears!" Well, we spent the next 5 to 10 minutes playing mirror with each other, he would do something and I would imitate it; my friend was dying.:rotfl2:

On the mean time DH was trying to steal Minnie away from Mickey, kissing her hand, telling her how pretty she looked and how talented she was since he had seen all her awards at her house and asked Mickey when he was planning to finally propose, because she was quite the catch! It was a riot!

We had them all to ourselves for a long, long time. One of our favorite memories, so much fun!

Last January, my daughter and I were in line for Jasmine and Aladdin.. when it was our turn, I asked if they would make 'funny faces' with us. They did.. best picture that day! Another day I asked Chip and Dale if they could do the Charlie's angel pose with my daughter... They happily obliged! I told Chip he was the 'cute one'. He got down on his knee and kissed my hand - Dale just sulked... good times... :upsidedow

This is a great thread. I love it.

Last year when we were at WDW my wife just HAD to go see Prince Caspian. She just loves the Narnia movies and so this was a big deal. So there I was with my DW and 2 DDs and we walk in to have this little one on one meeting.

So Prince C asks my DW what Kingdom she hailed from and she looked at me like I'm supposed to answer. (Admittedly she was flummoxed because she found him cute.) So I looked at him and said, we are from the Kingdom of Nashville. He asked if she was betrothed to this Knight? I thought I was going to fall down laughing.

Anyway, I was wearing my Tennessee Vols hat and he asked me if I was preparing for war and if I was wearing my war bonnet. I told him just on weekend.

He then told my DW to "Come closer and we will make a memory."

So I took their picture.

We got out of there and I laughed for nearly an hour over that whole scene. DW thought it was great.

To start a conversation or just to get good photos, it really helps if you bring a prop with you to a character meet, like a stuffed animal or a book of that respective character. Take a look what I did with my favorite during my most recent WDW trip:

I had a copy of a childrens book of The Jungle Book with me. Since my earliest childhood, this is my favorite movie and of course I was thrilled to see Baloo still being out daily at his AK greeting trail. I met him many times and most of the time I had that book of my favorite story with me. Baloo and the CMs absolutely loved that, even got some comments from other guests.

Here are some of the photos I got. I will post all of my magical experiences with Baloo in a separate thread once my Photopass CD arrives.

Haven't read the entire thread, so these may already be on here.

My son likes to ask Goofy where Max is and then keep track of the answers. Our trip 2 weeks back we saw goofy 5 times and had 4 different answers.

I also like to say hi Remy and Emille when I see Chip and Dale. Some funny responses sometimes.

When I see Chip or Dale, I alway ask them; Are you Chip or Dip? Not really funny, but sometimes I get a response.

I hear Flynn Rider will do the "smoulder" when asked

Hahaha. That was my favorite part of the movie. I'll be sure to ask for the smoulder next week.

Love this thread. Hopefully I'll have more to add next week!

PLEASE let us know here (on this thread) if he does the 'smoulder' for you! I need to know if I should ask him in February to do that for me!! Loved the movie.. saw it yesterday while playing hookie. :woohoo:

We just got back from our trip on Monday. We had dinner at 1900 Park Fare and when Drizella (one of Cinderella's step sisters and my son's would be fiancee) came over to our table, my 8 year old son asked her what size shoe she wears because her feet sure looked big in the movie! :rotfl:

She said, "Well, EVERYONE'S feet look huge compared to hers. She has freakishly small feet. My feet are a completely normal size."

Another funny Drizella moment--We were in the side room at 1900 Park Fare. When it came time for Cinderella and Prince Charming's waltz, everyone in our room got up and headed for the door to watch them dance. Until Drizella stormed over and said, "Where do you think you're all going? It's time for me to grace you with my presence and for you to watch ME waltz!" And so she grabbed my son and taught him to waltz.

I wanted to thank everyone for their great ideas!

We came back from DW a few weeks ago and used some of them, but this one has to be one of my favorites!

My DD(4) was afraid to meet the villians, especially Capt. Hook. DH was prepared with the Tick-Tock, Tick-Tock suggestion from this thread, and told her it would definitely keep him away. On our first day, we had great seats for the afternoon parade, and, wouldn't you know it, Capt. Hook and Smee came right towards us! DH said Tick Tock, Tick Tock, and Capt Hook ran away, but Smee was the best! He did the "I'm watching you" motion! DD LOVED it, and still talks about it!
