What else to say to the characters???

I asked the Mad Hatter how he feels about marriage -- he said, "Why? Are you proposing, my dear?" in that craaaazy voice he uses so well. It was a great moment.

*At Epcot, Belle engaged my 4 kids, DD's 12, 10 and 6 and DS 8 in a game of tag with the princesses across the park. Belle asked them to "tag" Mulan if we saw her. When we saw Mulan, she asked us to tag Snow White...the game lasted all day- and the kids were thrilled!

We got to do this. Snow White started us off and we had to tag Belle. Belle told us SW was sneaky and when we told her which direction we were headed, she asked us to tag Mary Poppins. It was just in the one afternoon at EPCOT and we were a bunch of adults, no kids. We had a blast! :rotfl:

I hear Flynn Rider will do the "smoulder" when asked

When we were there in November and in line to meet Flynn and Rapunzel, the person in front of us in line was a little boy, probably about 3. Flynn took him by the hand, crouched down and tried to teach him to smoulder. It was totally adorable.

i'm sure it's been done, but i was impressed with how clever my 2 1/2 year old daughter was during our trip to wdw over xmas - she's a HUGE snow white fan and when she met snow white at our crt dinner on xmas day she asked snow white if she still liked to eat apples - snow white replied that she didn't like red ones and never took them from strangers anymore. too cute!

earlier that day, flynn rider smoldered at my 5 year old daughter and she ate it up!

I have a question. I've been taking notes and now know what to say to certain characters to get great, cute reactions from them, but then one character I really like to pose with whenever I go to the MK and locate him is, of course, Buzz Lightyear. :teeth: Now, my question is what should I say to him to get a cute reaction? I realize that the only answers I'll be getting back are silent ones, so what should I bring up to him? I'm just curious, and would really appreciate an answer. Thanks. :teeth: :hyper:

What if you asked Buzz and Woody if they would show you where Andy's name is on the bottom of their shoes?

Here are a few from the last trip:

Saw Hook and said "Does anybody hear a clock ticking?"

While taking Eeyore's picture I say "Smile Eeyore. OK close enough"

Took a picture with DW and Mary Poppins. After seeing how it turned out I said "Perfect, well practically perfect". She replied "Yes Sir, in most every way".

For the costumed female characters, (Minnie, Daisy) I give them a kiss on the hand and watch them act like they are blushing.

Ask Donald "Where is Mickey?"

I always tell the DW or any kids that may be with us to give the Villians a big hug.

Dan

Our DD4 on our most recent trip:

To Tigger at CP: How high can you bounce? - Tigger went on to demonstrate his bouncing skills

To Belle at CRT: What is your favorite book? - Belle answered that she loved all books but if she had to pick one, it would be Sleeping Beauty

To Ariel at CRT: Do you still get to see your father and sisters? (DD4 had been asking me this since Ariel no longer has fins) - Ariel answered that anytime she wants to visit her family under the sea, her father gives her fins back.

And of course to Flynn: Can you do the smolder? - He obliged and was hilarious!

To Mulan: Happy New Year - The day we met Mulan also happened to be Chinese (Lunar) New Year.

Over Christmas, I asked Flynn about the smolder and Rapunzel just rolled her eyes. DH and I have shirts with each of the characters on them. He has Flynn and on the back it says "She fell for the smolder". I have Rapunzel on mine and my back says "I fell for the smolder".

I ask Eeyore about his tail. Mary Poppins if it is very hard being practically perfect. My brother proposed to both of the step sisters. We asked Piglet at CP why there was ham on the buffet. We asked Pooh the same question and he laughed. We invited Peter Pan to come to dinner at CRT with us and he said that Cinderella doesn't allow him to come any more since he let a frog loose in there the last time.

We've asked Minnie and Daisy why they don't have rings yet. We've asked Donald why he hasn't proposed to Daisy yet and he pretended to blow his brains out. We've asked Mickey the same question but he just shrugged. I've asked Chip 'n' Dale if they're staying out of trouble. Definitely not! Our Dale at Garden Grill indicated to us that Chip doesn't believe in personal hygiene.

While @ Rafiki's planet watch, I was trying to get my youngest to interact with Jimminy cricket and my middle daughter was spinning (not sure if it was because she was bored or was killing time waiting to interact with Jimmny Cricket herself) but as she was spinning, Pocahantas came up and started to spin with her!

Picture was taken after I said to my DD "Hailey look who's spinning with you!"
The place wasnt that busy so we had great interactions with both characters. Then I saw Rafiki himself! I went over, got his autograph and then began to dance with him...we were move for move it was a hoot!

At Le Chef's for lunch they brought Remy around on his cheese cart and my kids asked him what his favorite desert was. His interpreter said he would combine them all into a bowl and that was it!. He also did a "Rat" dance for the girls.

At Akershus, My middle daughter pointed to her fork and asked Ariel "do you want to barrow my dinglehopper?" Ariel said no thank you she had one of her own...it was short interaction but it left my middle daughter wondering where her purse with the dinglehopper was.

My daughter asked Belle the same thing, and oddly enough got the same answer. Then Belle asked my daughter what her favorite book was.

Whenever I have breakfast at CP I am sure to tell Piglet that I requested turkey bacon. Piglet always approves!

i hav quite a few awesome interactions
on my Disney Cruise in 2008, they premired Toy Story the Musical. so when they had the 'till we meet again thing, i found the lady that played Sid (yes it was a woman. she was AMAZING). but, she was dressed in a lion King outfit from the Disney Dreams show, so my mom told her "she loved you as Sid" so she signed my autograph book as Sid :)

and on my 1st trip to Disneyland in 2008, we went to go watch the parade and we were lucky enough to be sitting where the Alice in Wonderland gang stops so after they did their little performance, hatter came over seeing my hat and yelled "I made that!" and i said "of course you did! thats why it looks so good!" and he said "you are one smart girl" and gave me a high five. and those of you that watch videos of the Disneyland Mad Hatters, it was Squishy Hatter :).

and my favorite interactions were on our last trip during the Halloween party at WDW. i dressed up as Michael Jackson<3. almost all the characters tried to dance like him and he villains admired my glove :). and when we went to Adventureland to get candy, Captain Hook came out while Thriller was playing and started dancing to it without even seeing me! when he did, he motioned for me to join him but the song was over so i said i would another time :)

Got another one. We went to H&V at DHS on Friday. Handy Manny came to our table and we asked him when he was going to ask Kelly out. He shook his finger at me and turned his head away. Sooooo funny...

Next time you are at H&V and you see Handy Mandy, tell him your table is wobbling because the legs are uneven - really put him to the test. :rotfl2:

My daughter asked Belle the same thing, and oddly enough got the same answer. Then Belle asked my daughter what her favorite book was.

Belle's favorite book is Sleeping Beauty according to the movie. When she's reading the book in the beginning she shows the sheep Sleeping Beauty and the Prince embracing. We noticed that watching it very recently and were quite shocked!
