What else to say to the characters???

I read that if you ask Ariel for a Dinglehopper she usually has one on hand and will brush your hair with it! And Mad Hatter might sing for you if you mention that it's your unbirthday :)

New one! Go up to Dug (from Up) and notify him of a squirrel in the area. Might get a great response! :lmao:

On our last trip, Feb 2008, we went to Akershus for lunch and DD5 had gotten an Ariel tattoo the day before in AK.

Well, when Ariel came by she noticed the tattoo, and was very pleased to see it. She then looked at her own arms, looked very puzzled, and said to my DD, "But, I don't have a tattoo of you on my arms..." :rotfl:

DD loooves Ariel, so that was a highlight for her, and she was just talking about it again the other day.

Show the character your tattoo, should you get one of anyone you meet!

We also showed Chip and Dale our pins of them, and they were very excited, and made a big fuss. If you have someone's pin, show it to them.

Here are some of the things we did in October:

Ask Mary Poppins to say the "supercali......" word backwards. It's hilarious! :thumbsup2

Hand Snow White an apple.

Ask Belle why Beast is a beast and not a prince.

Ask Crush what his favorite "stroke" is to swim. He told my son (who is a competitive swimmer) that it's the backstroke and he demonstrated it.

We're going to try the chip and dale one next time. They are always hilarious!

I asked her this last week and not only did she say it perfectly, she also asked me f i would like for her to spell it.

My DH and I were at Cinderella's castle for dinner and when we came downstairs we saw Cinderella. I said that I always wanted to be Cinderella and she said, "But you are a princess" turning to my DH, "I hope that you treat her as one." I got lots of mileage with that one!

Another time, my DH tried to ask one of the Guides walking with Goofy how the CMs stay cool under the costumes. He felt the question was safe since there were no children around. She looked at him as if he had two heads and said, "What costumes?" He continued, saying that the fur must be really hot and she added, "Oh, I see what you are saying. In the summertime they cut their fur really short." I laughed outloud. She was great!

Denise::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

In EPCOT a few years ago, my DH asked something similar and was given a similar response, then later we were outside of the Living Seas and the same CM was with the big remote controlled Nemo (do they still have that? I haven't seen it in our last couple of trips) anyway, the big Nemo and she (or whoever/however Nemo is controlled) made nemo chase my DH around. DH and my oldest daughter who was about 3 at the time got a real big kick out of that.

I don't say anything in particular to the characters, but Chip and Dale always try to walk off with me! Every time I am in line to see them, or at a character meal, they are always super flirty with me. The last character meal I had Dale started to walk off with me, then Chip pointed out my wedding rings. Dale was heartbroken and Chip had to console him, patting him on the back to lead him away.

So, I guess the only interaction you need to have with those two is to be a lady.:lovestruc

I was at a the Sorcerer Mickey meet in the Animator's Pavilion last year and Mickey was being real cute and cuddly with me. I was laughing so hard and said "Minnie is going to get jealous." The handler turned to me and said "Remember, Mickey and Minnie are just friends." I was really confused as to why she would feel the need to say that :confused3 It was kind of annoying and made me feel very embarrassed for saying it :headache:

My dad did that 2 weeks ago!!! He was like "Hi Dug, my name is Lee....squirrel!!" and Dug freaked out haha

My dd intends to bring a dog toy that looks like a squirrel to Dug as a gift...wonder how that will go over. :thumbsup2

Well, I don't know that we can spell it, but my daughter and I learned it backwards before our last trip so we could surprise HER!

At MGM it was raining and the characters were in that empty ABC building. Pluto was behind a railing that looked kinda like a cage. My DD tried and tried helping him out--it was quite funny! Chip came along and tried to put him back in but my DD told him to behave himself and stop being mean to Pluto. His reaction was quite funny--he nodded and looked sat while Pluto was jumping all over the place with joy.

Do the characters still roam the park when it is raining?

We will be at WDW later in June and, of course, expecting the afternoon rain. Just wondering where they go if it happens to be a completely rainy day. Thanks!

No. Characters will not meet in the rain. Characters that meet in the open will either move into indoor locations, or are canceled. As for characters that meet under overhangs, it depends on the heaviness of the rain if they will come out.

While at Chef Mickey's I told Pluto that he was DD's favorite and she wanted to take him home with her.

He picked up his dog tag and pointed to it it said something like "If Found Please Return to Mickey Mouse".

He gave me and DD a lick though. haha.

I don't know if it was mentioned but at 1900 Park Fare Anastascia and Drizella will probably sing if asked. They sang Happy Birthday to a girl next to us last year in their wonderful skretchy voices.

Fabulous suggestions!!! Thanks to everybody else. I wanted to share some from my last vacation.

My boyfriend and I were in Disney in June 09 and saw Mr. Smee and Capt Hook outside. My boyfriend had a blue and white striped shirt on. Capt Hook tried to keep him and Mr. Smee walked off with me. Hook signaled that he was seeing double as they were both wearing the same color/striped shirt. My boyfriend tried to get away but Capt Hook wouldn't let him go!

We also had dinner at 1900 Park Fare and asked the stepsisters how the music lessons were going. Drizella just waved toward Anastasia and said that "mother had to give her the flute she is so bad, but you have seen the movie so you know how good I am". When the step mother came over, we asked again. She looked around for her daughters and called Anastasia over. She had Anastasia sing "sing sweet nightingale, sing sweet nightingale" with the hand motions off the movie! It was just like the movie when she hurried over to her mother and then sang. Always ask something off the movie!!
Someone dropped a plate and the stepmother said (in the highest possible voice) "Cinderella! Cinderelllllllllaaaaaaaaa!!!!! Where is that girl?!"

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
