Does anyone know how to transfer a registration? My friend registered my wife and now needs to transfer it to her.

be careful - I did this a few years ago and the link disappeared from my account and the other person didn't have it in theirs. I then contacted runDisney and it was there - just not showing up. it's a known issue. It would all be good for day of pickup though, but frustrating. In my case it was a useless registration though - long story.

submitted DS's POT from Halloween Half. Just need to drop a few minutes of mine at the half I've book in May to bump up a corral.

Also I promised to teach DD to RWR since her ortho restrictions are lifted.

There was today - we're going to need to see if they close that door next registration. They were definitely changing code right up to 10:00.

My registration luck continues to roll… 15 registrations completed by 10:30 ET.
3 - Dopey
2 - halfs
4 - 10Ks
6 - 5Ks

had a different approach for data collection, I had everyone fill out a MS Form with all the runDisney data fields, that way it was an easy copy paste.

Looking forward to booking for Princess 2027, fingers crossed, can I ask if you registered the same person for multiple events and all part of one registration or multiple check-outs?
I tried to figure it out while registering today, but rushed through as everything was selling out and didn’t have the time to screenshot and look at options.
If one person wanted to do more than one event, is there a drop down option for that? Or do you just add another participant for each separate event for the same person in the same transaction or do you have to do multiple transactions?
Not sure if that makes sense - just trying to figure out if I have to check out all together or need to go back and forth - assuming even able to get in wanting to be prepared and not fumbling.
So for example
Person A - Fairy tale challenge and 5k
Person B - fairy tale challenge and 5k
Person C - 5k and 10k

I guess the next challenge will be a hotel. We love staying at Pop Century but I just checked and you can't register for January 2027 yet. When do they usually open up hotels for the new year?

I believe that technically you could book a reservation now that starts on December 31 and reaches through Marathon weekend, then later (when 2027 opens up) you would shorten it to only the days you need.

I have the club RunDisney (which I will forever renew), but I have joined the madness either way to get friends or coworkers registered… it is very stressful process… getting in feels like an achievement LOL

Did anything really change with the registration process outside of them trying to crackdown on sharing links? It all felt pretty the same to me as someone who has never used anything other than my own links.

I think the demand is the highest it’s ever been, but I don’t think there’s much to be done about that. I’m still somewhat shocked at rD being featured on Good Morning America. I don’t follow social media, so I don’t really know if rD has been compensating influencers to tout the races (I’ve only seen rumors); I’d hope they realize that is entirely unnecessary even if they do keep with the GMA stuff as a kind of puff piece.

The underlying queue page definitely changed but I don't think it meant anything different for us aside from making queue sharing more difficult.

No idea how many influencers get in for free, I think the number is significantly overstated though, it's just easier to blame them for not getting in instead of the fact that all of these races have more people competing for spots. Obviously the influencers are influencing (lol) more people into doing this, which is annoying, but I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't see videos from a running blogger back in 2020. It's just how these things go.

Unrelated, but continued issue with people who thought they would be first if they entered the waiting room at 7:30 (or whenever it was it first opened) and some folks who thought that entering exactly at 10 am should get them to the front. No! No! It would definitely be in RD's benefit if they stopped this ridiculous thing with opening the waiting room two hours early though. Just go back to opening it up at 9:45, this is causing more anxiety for people.

You have to decide what is most important, a specific race or all or nothing. You can register one person for one event, then either add another registration or check out and then hit the back button to register again (I think refreshing works too but I just hit the back button twice after getting the confirmation to register again).

one payment transaction, once you get to the bottom of the registration page you select “Add another registration”.

I saw many people getting the error once they put their card in, what they didn’t realize is that you had to scroll up past the merch again and click “I’m ready to pay” AGAIN, and then it would free up the payment button.

you can be a bit faster too if you pre-sign in with your email prior to registration, that was 1 of the 6 is pre-populated.

Based on your example, you’ll need 6 total registrations, Person A has 2, Person B has 2 and Person C has 2.

FWIW: chrome incognito worked the best for me

Yeah… I’ve only ever stayed at WBC with a full kitchen for Dopeys and marathons, but my go-to rental guy retired and I’m debating whether to go with someone else who’s known and trustworthy but pricier, or if I can manage with just a kitchenette and do a DVC studio rental (if there are any), or wait for AP rates to come out and see what’s available. Leaning toward WBC and just getting it settled.

I didn’t see anything different once it opened up, but for a couple hours before 10am codes were changing all over the place. But I’ve never looked at that in the past, so I can’t say if a lot of backend scurrying is new or not.

Correct. I knew where to find the unique queue ID from W&D, but it took some time and collaboration to figure out how to put together the full URL to share.

That was the wild part: SO much background/backend activity leading up to 10am. And the differnt experiences on different browsers! Every one of my early Safari windows I started before 9am eventually timed out and a refresh resulted in Page Not Found… but the Chrome ones I opened at the same time were fine and were what got me in. And wildly different URLs in differnt windows, even on the same browser!

I stagger and always track optics to see how I was randomized

Initially I had 7 devices spanning a 7:30 to right as the world clock hit 10

All 7 more than an hour at 10am
10:05am spectrum crashed so the only active queue was my phone sans wifi (7:30 one) was more than an hour with 1/3 bar full when everything sold out

I was able to get through, locked in for my fourth Dopey. As a bonus my DD and DS both agreed to run the 5K with me, which will be an absolute treat. It'll be their first race for both of them, and I'm thrilled that I will be running it with them!

I'm sorry for all those who didn't get in. I hate that there isn't room for everyone and I wish the registration process wasn't such a stressful ordeal. Hopefully everyone who wants to can get in via charity or more bibs coming up later.

I hear you but I wonder if the early waiting room open was to lessen the crush on the servers when everyone in the world starts trying to join at 9:45. I mean, I'm not an IT guy so maybe that's not even a thing but seems like a plausible explanation.

I don’t think too many people get in for free and if they do it’s usually through Brooks and not runDisney.

I do think it can be harder for new people to get into runDisney because so many people do so many of the races. It’s generally not a one and done the way other big races are. I’d be curious to know what percentage of Dopey finishers in a given year are first time Dopeys, for example. I am one of the people who does a lot of races though, so I’m not judging.
