What else should I bring in the park if I have a Magic Band?

ID, a back up card, a bit of cash (I grab a $20), and health insurance.

Thanks! I'll bring the ID, a CC, and some cash.

What types of vendors only take cash? Is it things like ice cream, or souveniers? In the parks or all over?

It's usually the little kiosk/carts that don't have MB capability although I saw less and less of them without the touchpad on my last trip.

Last time we were there (Oct) all the carts seemed to have readers. But at times the readers did not work. When you need your Mickey Bar you need it! So we have cash too. :)

I take my Disney VISA credit card, my disney rewards card, ID, cash, health insurance card, hard copy of ADRs. I never activate the mb for charging; I'd rather use the credit card since I bring it for my discounts anyhow.

When we last year we "almost" never needed anything besides the bands. We did use a couple of small dollars so that DS could do the shooting range which only takes cash, and I'd probably put like a $20 bill high on the list. If toting around "little-people" I would doubt you'll ever get carded if you order an adult drink but ID probably is still a good idea especially if you are younger and without kids. A CC might be nice to have I guess, but of our party of 4 we never had any issues with the bands and if you're together eating anyone else in your party (besides kids who don't have PINs) they should be able to tap if you're all linked to the same account in the odd event something didn't work. Was really a big selling point for us going back (one week!) that you really can leave your wallet in the room if you want to and never miss it, everything is just easy with the bands.

I think the only vendors you'll find who don't have readers anymore might be the balloon vendors. Nearly all carts have the readers now.

We have been those unfortunate guests who actually believed Disney when they said all you need is your MBs. Yeah, we've gotten locked out of our room with no way to pay for the food we left the room to buy, which was awesome. We haven't had a trip yet where we haven't had to use a backup method to pay at least once because either the MBs or the readers weren't working.
