this thread is directly at what dvc rules you like the most, please do not post, about the DVC resorts, and which you like hte most and what you like about each DVC resort
i.e
.
I like the flexibility to purchase small add on dvc point contracts, so I can conveniently increase or decrease my commitment to dvc, without getting out entirely.
I like the ability to book one night at a time, for seven different weeks, instead of 7 nights togheter, for one week.
I have friends with normal one week timeshares and if they only want to use 3 days, they still have to use up their one week, in the trade process, with Internval international or RCI.
I like that I own at BCV and OKW, but have access to 5 other DVC Resorts, with no exchange fees.
When I owned MArriott Beach Place Towers. If I wanted to go from Platinmum season, to GOld Seaosn, at my own resort.
i had to pay $158.
I like the simplicity of the rules, when booking.
I like the starwood system, it is a point system, like DVC. But, if you book less than 7 nights, like a bigger unit, for 6 nights. THe booking window is 2 months, instead of 10 months. Heck, it is worthless, because availability at good times and good resorts is gone.
I like that perks stay with DVC, when you resale your retail purchased points, or purchase your first points resale.
In marriott, if you sell your retail purchase, the person, who has bought it resale, cannot use the Marriott points, at marriott hotels, only the retail purchaser
In starwood, if you resale your starwood retail purchase and it is not an atlantis, st john or maui property. THe new owner, is totally kicked out of the system and cannot use this starwood points to book dreictly at starwood sister properties, he has to trade thru Interval International.
i.e. I purchase Old key west retail and then sell it to Disney DOLL,
since she bought it Resale. she cannot use it at BCV,BWV, WL,HH OR VB anymore, only if she can trade her resale okw thru II, to get At bCV.
