I always enjoy these type of threads each year but have not seen any yet posted about our tweens! I like to get ideas from everyone's list and maybe others do too. :goodvibes

My dd is now 10 and this is what she has on her list:
cellphone She's due for an upgrade and wants the Samsung Exclaim. She currently has one of my older phones.
Barbie digital nail printer At $150, this is way too expensive. She loves doing nails so I'm planning to buy some polishes, nail art decals, etc and get her a nice case for all of it(cvs, target, etc)
wii My mom decide she will put half as her gift. I wasn't planning to buy this! Looking for deals!
ipod touch
AG wheelchair if I find a good ebay deal
Harumika bridal collection
Harumika runway showstopper
Polly Pocket roller coaster resort
Crayola color explosion glow board
Petz nursery (DS game) probably
Style Lab (DS Game)

Polly pocket items usually fall apart so I'm not buying that. The ipod touch is what I want for Christmas. I think she noticed I was looking at it and wrote it down lol. I just bought her a pink refurb nano last Christmas. If any family members ask I can tell them the other items on her list. Plus she loves Aeropostale and Claires, so gift cards will be squealed over. :yay:

What about your daughters? What are you actually getting them?

My DD who is 12 asked for a pair of boots and a hair straightener. That was all - she never asks for much. My other DD who will be 16 Christmas Eve asked for an Ipod Touch for b-day and Christmas. My parents bought her the Ipod Touch and also purchased one for DD12 as we didn't want fighting over it. Their Nano's that they have had for a few years have started to have problems also. We will get covers, etc for stocking stuffers. We did get a pair of Uggs cheap for each of them and a cheap hair straightener - they don't have hair that really needs it but they wanted it incase they wake up with bumps and want to get them out, etc. so I found cheap ones at Christmas Tree Shop and had a 20% off coupon so it was a good deal for $14.99 each - bought them each one so again no fighting in the mornings. This is basically all they are getting between us and my parents. I will purchase stocking stuffers - like I have a game I purchased awhile ago for $3.00 on sale in Target that they both love. So they are basically getting the same stuff but that is how it fell this year and are done pretty much. As they get older - it gets harder.

dd10's list keeps changing but here is the most recent:

AG Rebecca - I have opted not to get but to get her an AG gc and let her earn the rest...we have purchased 2 AG dolls for her

AG Rebecca coat
AG Bed for Ivy - will probably get some type of doll bed
AG Kit's winter Coat - maybe
AG Felicity's dresses (2) - will probably do
AG photographer outfit
$50 - maybe. She wants to shop "on her own"
Cellphone - nope
Monkey earrings - bought them this week and gave them to her...she and dd8 were starting to go through my jewelry box looking for earrings!!:scared1:
Style Sava - don't even know what it is
Harumika bridal set - I'll get one of the sets
Then she has a list of ds and wii games and some books she wants - done

What I already purchased: a snuggli blanket thing, AG photographer outfit, AG gift card, AG puzzle/ books, Refurb IPOD Nano, AG molly's stage (sharing with dd8), AG costumes, Wii Rock Band (sharing with family), Our generation Horse for AG dolls, Friendship bracelet craft kit, Pink Life board game (share with dd8), ds games (phineas and ferb and one other), Aeropostle tshirt, polo shirt and sweatshirt

Wow what a difference between 10 and 12. I miss my 12 year wanting toys for Christmas...

She asked for Uggs, a good hairdryer, some craft supplies, and a digital camera.

You girls are good at getting so many gifts already!!

My 12yo DD is getting AG Just Like You for Birthday/Christmas. She would love the Winter outfit for AG in their catalog, Itouch (not getting), rollerblades, stuff for her room like rug and drapes. So far that's all I have heard her say. Oh, we are getting her and 8yo sister portable dvd players.

DD, who is almost 11, wants an IPOD, texting on her cell phone, laptop, clothes, new blades for her figure skates, SIMS 3. She hasn't mentioned any toys. I can't even think of any toys to buy her that she would play with.

My DD (12) wants a digital camera, Wii Fit, and some Twilight make-up. She also wants an IPod touch which my inlaws are getting for her.

OP - My DD also mentioned that nail designer but I decided not get it when I saw it was $150. Yikes!

12 yr old -- uggs, g/c from Aero and Abercrombie and a few DS/Wii games. Just packed up all of the AG dolls :(

DD, 11, has a very short list: Ipod Touch & Aeropostle clothes.

I'll likely pick up some UnderArmour and other athletic clothes as well along with hair & nail supplies.

I love the age she is at, athlete by day, girlie girl in her social life...lol

My dd 12 wants the new IPOD NANO , Nintendo ds Jewelry Design game, Twilight stuff, Toy Story Mania for Wii, make-up. She's not into toys anymore. :sad1:

Seems like Ipod is the theme. My daughter wants ipod, new comforter ( she took her princess one off a month ago) I wanted to cry LOL. DSI and clothes.

DD10's list so far:

laptop - not getting
cell phone - not getting
new bike - getting this - she is too tall for her current bike
books - have gotten some
Wii games - have gotten some
marshmallow shooter (?) - grandparents are getting for her

She is also getting a surprise trip to Disney in January - she thinks we are going in August. :stitch: I ordered a Disney gift card for her and DD6 that they can spend at Diseny.

DDalmost11 wants a laptop and not much more. She has kindly split her list since her bday is the day after, so laptop for xmas, AG stuff for bday.

Luckily my dd(almost 12) has a very short list since she really wants an ipod touch and an itunes card. She said that she really doesn't care if she gets anything else.
These are some other things that she has said she would like but she isn't going to really ask for them all.

My Sims Agents Wii game
Rockband for Wii
The Instyler
The barbie digital nail printer (although she wishes it wasn't barbie)
Kingdom Hearts for the DS

My DD who is 12 asked for 2 things a laptop and sharpie markers. The laptop she does needs for school. Her handed down desktop is so old. All her classwork is done on a thumb drive, so she will get that, and the the sharpies!
My DD who is 10, is asking for Taylor Swift Cd's, Girls Gourmet Cake Bakery,Clothes,Movies.

I have two tweens:

My DD 12 wants:
New Ipod in Green-getting it but trying to decide on a refurbished or one from Wal-MartLaptop - not getting
Aero or Hollister clothes - getting an outfit from Aero & a GC from Hollister
Room re-do in Neon green - getting a comforter - my DH will be painting room in the spring
Twilight stuff - getting as stocking stuffers

My DD (almost 10) wants:
Ipod-maybeDSi - no just way too much and won't be able to use her fav Game Boy games
AG stuff - getting a couple of things but no new dolls; she's getting a cheer outfit that is an exact duplicate of her competition cheer uniform
Clothes - getting a couple of outfits and a GC to Justice & Aero

They are also getting stuff for our upcoming Spring trip to the Galapagos and South America!

Mine never cared for dolls much. I would gladly spend the $$$ on AG stuff if she was interested!!!

Mine only asked for Harry Potter stuff.

What I have so far:
special charm (HP)on a silver chain
HP glowing book light
HP tree ornament
HP Scene It game

Aero clothes
some spa treatment stuff
pajama pants
marshmallow shooter (so she can defend herself against her brother:laughing:, who is getting one)

And the big thing......Universal passes to WWofHP!!!

I was looking for ideas for my 12 year old niece on another thread because I need to remain the "cool" aunt and a small Coach bag/wristlet was a popular suggestion. I am heading to the outlet to get her one this weekend (with a 20% off coupon another DISer was kind enough to email me!). I also picked up some great things for in her purse at Ulta yesterday 5/$5. Great selection of stocking stuffer type things!!!!! SIL told me she will be ecstatic with that gift!

Other popular suggestion on the thread was a gc for a mani/pedi. I had gotten her a good hair straightener (don't forget good styling products so they don't fry their hair!) for her birthday in September and that was a HUGE HUGE HUGE hit. The other big things she is asking for is a netbook or an ipod touch. I think her parents are getting her one, but not sure which at this point.

My daughter 11 has mostly games for her DS on her list. To tell you the truth I couldn't tell you the names of them off the top of my head but I know she's got at least six of them listed. We'll get her 2-3 of them.

We also recently got in the mail the new Justice catalog it came with stickers that you're suppose to put on things you like and she's got several things she likes lol. Hubby and I were in Justice with her last weekend just to get an idea of what things would cost. We'll get her a few top items from there that she wants.

A pre-paid cell phone and not because she wants one but because she is now in a middle school and my husband picks her up so it's needed to coordinate when she can finally come out of the building to get in the car. It gets dark around here soon after she gets out of school (4pm) and hubby might be running 5-10mins behind so we don't want her standing out in the dark and cold waiting for him to pick her up - it's too unsafe.

Also we're doing a family trip for the New Year's weekend to a mountain resort in WV, so I guess that's apart of her presents this year as well.

She already has an Ipod, Ugg boots, DVD player and all that other jazz - so this year there's no need to get her any of that.

T.

My DD1 loves Twilight and Manga. I got her some Manga Art Books when I was at Epcot and a new set of drawing pencils. The only thing she's specifically asked for is Sims 3 for the computer, and a new comforter (no more pink). I'll get her some clothes too probably, she loves Aeropostale. First Christmas no toys are on the list! Now thiings start to get expensive. She bought herself an iPod Touch with her birthday money, and already has a camera. She really wants a phone but I'm not going there yet. Maybe next year.
