We (DH, me, DD10, DS7) have spent the last few Christmases in Florida and we set up a small tree and santa brings presents but this will be our first Christmas Day at Disney.

Please share with me your past or upcoming plans for Christmas day at Disney so I can get some ideas as to what to do.

Thank you

We were at Disney in Christmas 06. We started out with service at the Contemporary then took the bus to Animal Kingdom. We had dinner at Chef Mickey's. We didn't really bring presents (because we flew) but brought out stockings and stocking stuffers from home. We also brought a mini tree with a few ornaments and lights and candy canes. After dinner, we returned to the hotel (Pop) and had pics with Santa and then hung out in the room and opened out stockings.

We don't have little ones (we ARE the little ones and we'll never grow up:goodvibes )but had a lot of fun this past Christmas when we had breakfast at 1900 Park Faire, went back to the resort (it was warm enough for swimming this year...other years we've gone downtown to see a movie) and then went to the Hoop Dee Doo for dinner with a carriage ride after to see all the decorations in the campground.

If you haven't been there before at Christmas, I would not recommend going to the parks. It's more than a zoo! The morning after Christmas, however, it was dead and we finished up MK before 11 a.m.

Hope this helps. Being down there during the holidays is just extra special.

We figure the parks are nightmares on CD, so the past 2 years we´ve gone to Downtown Disney and had a nice time. It was also a good day to get the sore feet relaxed....

:cool2:

My DW and I have spent Christmas at Disney Land before. We decorate the inside of the room with lights and a small decorated tree. We put our presents under the tree and hung the stockings. Christmas morning we got up and opened stocking and presents then enjoyed the day in the parks. We knew it would be crowded but with that in mind we mainly People watched and shopped. It was a wonderful time and we are considering it again for this year.:santa:

Sorry for the bad picture, but this was our tree.

My family has gone several times at Christmas! Their is nothing more magical than spending xmas at Disney! We usually camp in our RV so we bring alll the presents and my parents hide them from us haha. We usually end up opening the gifts christmas eve because we are all old enough and because that will help us get to the parks earlier. We go to the parks, I dont remember which one. Probably MK. And yes it is crowded, but its always crowded during xmas time anyways. With the help of FP its do-able. We usually have a special dinner like at Chef Mickeys of something and maybe go see a movie at Downtown Disney.

At home, we open stockings, then eat, and then open presents (best part):goodvibes

Still haven't experienced Christmas at Disney, but hopefully Dec. 21-28 2008 I will. :santa:
