Sorry, just checked the DCL website deck plans and do not see any cabins marked with an asterisk (*). Some have the handicap accessible logo and some with arrowheads indicating to which cabin they connect, but no asterisks.
They are in the guidebooks and I think they represent the obtructed view staterooms, but that is a guess based on a wisp of a faint memory. I'm sure more learned members will be along to correct if my assesment is wrong.
Taking a quick look at the deck plans, it looks like they are the ones with a solid metal wall (as opposed to plexiglass) below the railing on the verandahs.
Yes, outahere has it right. Found a different set of deck plans here on disboards that show the 5 aft cabins on decks 5, 6, 7 & 8, both starboard and port with asterisks.
Checking the stateroom reviews the one thing they all have in common are metal instead of plexiglass below the veranda rails.
